An elegant restructure of an ancient convent, this charming hotel is ideally located just a short walk away from St Marks Square, next to the Biennale Gardens and only one water-bus-stop away from Lido.

Surrounded by parks and gardens, Hotel Sant’Elena takes its name from the most peaceful and verdant district in Venice. On the eastern shore of the city, this ex convent maintains its original architecture and the magic of its past, harmoniously combined with all the most modern and technological comforts. The cloister has been transformed into an intimate internal garden for relaxing moments before a dinner in the elegant Valentine’s restaurant.

The hotel is excellently connected with the water transportation to all the most famous attractions. St Marks Square can be reached in 5 minutes by water-bus and in 15 minutes on foot along the suggestive Riva degli Schiavoni. The pier is located 150 metres from the hotel.

The location is superb for someone who wants peace and tranquility away from the hustle of Venice itself,which is only a short walk or boat ride away.

The TV and TV channels were changed without notice during our stay which took away our only English speaking channel.Despite bringing it to the attention of Reception,no action was taken to correct the situation.

Restaraunt closed in the evenings and no real bar to speak of. There was a place to buy drinks, but the only place to sit was the breafast tables already set for breakfast.Wearher not too good but that can't be helped.

Restaurant ran very slow service, being able to accommodate only 4 tables at a time!

This was our third stay. We like the quiet atmosphere, the service, the food quality, and the proximity of the vaporetto (waterbus)

We were VERY disappointed that the room tea/coffee making facilities have been removed. Who doesn't like a cup of tea or coffee before going down for breakfast !?
