Location is good, close to the metro and other historical area. AC and the private safe were very useful.
Horrendous lobby- needs an upgrade badly. Walls are too thin and the bed a lil' too hard! Breakfast was pathetic- nothing was fresh except for tea/coffee!
Great Staff! Great Location! Room + Amenities lived up to the expectations.
Staff and location
The breakfast I did int like , and that they did int have microwave to warm food for my doughter , and in the room 324 there wasn t space were I put our clothes , I had to leave them in my luggage , only 1 rail of 1 meter were you hang the clothes and no drawres and the kettle it was full stone of water so the water it comes dirt when you warm it up , to do the for my doughter
The location was very good .
Very old and poor quality pillows, linen and blankets. Definitely need to change them. The breakfast buffet was always the same throughout the 5 night stay.
Very helpful and efficient receptionists, willing to help and always smiling. Excellent location. Spacious room 325, like small apartment.
The breakfast was poor, the roof started to leak one night, the room was too hot, the closet was old and dirty and the bed was hard and a bit small. The Reception desk clerk, tried to make as use an expensive taxi to the airport, though the train was cheaper.
Location and hotel's style, refurbished and clean bathroom, staff was polite.
Hotel is old and not well maintained. Definitely not a 4 star, seems like a false rating.
The ONLY suggestion I would make or like to see is the cleaning of the many national flags hanging outside the hotel. I feel these flags speak to those of us from other countries and offer a loud and clear welcome. If they are neglected, as they were, it says some very negative things about the hotel.
Hotel Sistina is located in the center of Rome just a couple blocks from Via Veneto. There is a very affordable plethora of eating establishments in short walking distance. I found it to be a charming and clean hotel after anticipating it to be a disappointment having read some negative reviews. The front desk service people were very accommodating and more than willing to spend time answering my queries.
The wifi was somewhat poor in my room with it regularly cutting out
Superb location close to both the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. A very short walk from a good selection of restaurants and cafes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. What made the hotel even more charming was that there are not a lot of rooms so the service is more personal
The number of available TV stations is limited and a larger TV would be nice to have. Breakfast is rather scarce.
Location cannot be better Staff is very friendly and polite Rooms are clean Room ratescare good value for money. Our recent visit was our fifth, which speaks for itself.
Unhelpful staff; line up for tables at breakfast; stale breakfast items; wifi didn't work; leaky shower.
Location; cleanliness; safe in room; good restaurants nearby
My room was so small that looked more like cell. Certainly not suitable for one person, may be for half person. Next time you should write the size of the cell to avoid misleading. One of the stuff at the reception was very rude when I asked for a bigger room. I am booking through your office for several years, and this time was the worse!
Some of the stuff were nice
Slow internet Some rooms are too small to breath
light-proof windows Close to city center and metro
poor WiFi poor breakfast deposit box disabled
excellent location good staff and clean
The breakfast was horrible and I would never return back because of that.
The location of the hotel is perfect. Just a few metres away from the spanish steps and very close to the metro station.
very old decor
location was great
The decor of the lobby and reception need to be updated.
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sistina. The hotel is very centrally located and is literally 2 minutes away from the spanish steps and via veneto. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The rooms are well sized and clean.
Unfortunately the pictures show a much bigger room. It was small with twin beds, just enough room to move around. They had a HUGE problem with a bathroom sewage smell. We had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times with the window open and the smell was still awful. The air condition was very low but when bathroom door closed, it wd get cooler. The staff was very helpful with smelling sprays and apologizing. They assured us that it didn't happen in other rooms. They offered another room, but we didn't want to waste time, so we closed door and lived with it. I wd recommend because of location and staff for lower price.
I loved the location. It was one block from Plaza Barberini, where metro, buses and hop on and hop off buses stop. Can walk to Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. If you get lost everybody knows where the plaza is. I also loved Marilyn, front desk staff. She told us all we needed to know to get around and was super friendly and patient. Breakfast was very good and they have the BEST cappuccino in Italy. Yum
The breakfast was not so good
Outside noise might be a nuisance.
Location & Service
The coffee at breakfast could be better, but otherwise a good variety of food.
The Hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful
