Hotel Stiegl Scala    

The room and bathroom were really big - pretty unusual for europe. The bed was comfy and there was a lot of light. There is an outdoor seating area and a big Italian/German breakfast buffet. There is a pool but I didn't use it. Too cold. Bolzano is a cute little town, the cable cars are fun to take and bike rentals are practically free!

Price was a bit higher than I like, but the rooms was nice.

Nice staff, helpful and friendly Rooms are very modern, nice looks, all things that you will need. Fresh Sauna Hotel not in direct centrum but just 4min walking to city square. Restaurants and bars all around Hotel Free parking outside. Free and working WiFi Bozen is a very nice place. Will return.

Shower curtain: Never ever put a shower curtain in a 4-star hotel, even worse, low water wall protection around shower = water all over toalet floor. Booked hotel due to the fact that INFO said exercise facilities: Well there were noone in this Hotel. Went to a Gym in town but that costed me 15EUR extra No underfloor heating in toilet.

The staff was very friendly and did their utmost to help me with regards the needs in my room and also information. Really worth recommending.

The room is so bare!! Not even a picture and bedside carpet. Otherwise perfect.

Close proximity to downtown area with bus terminal, shopping, and restaurants. Hotel was comfy but not very roomy. Breakfast buffet was really good and the pool was nice.

Balcony is useless, not big enough for a table and chairs. Staff wasn't very helpful at front desk. I booked a 3 night stay because the site said "book 3 nights, and get a 3 day city pass for bus transportation"...desk clerk said she never heard of that and then the guy behind her was overtly rude about it and said "we have never had that feature". Not sure why it was posted on the site when we booked the hotel, but don't believe it if you see it. Hotel won't give you the passes. Cost us 28 euro apiece to get the passes from the Information Center downtown. Oh yeah, "Dolomite view" is of the foothills. Don't expect spires or mountains, those are an hour's drive away. A bit deceiving on the description.

Location, service and friendliness of staff

Modern room design, lovely garden area for dining, not far from train station, easy walking to main town area, close to gondola for sightseeing.

The hotel was conveniently located close to the station, cable car and city centre. It has a lovely garden with a big pool and a shady terrace. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were good and we enjoyed the one dinner we had in the restaurant.

I felt welcomed! The desk staff was very friendly and helpful! Room was very nice and clean! Breakfast was GREAT!

The breakfast was great,the cleaning of the room,very good The place was very good and very quiet place. The only problem was the air condition was not working. I will came again at this hotel,and I will recommend it to my friends.

No complaints

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the hotel in June 2012 and liked everything - our room (superior facing the mountain and overlooking the pool), the breakfasts, the staff (front desk and dining room), the location (10 min. walk from the centro) + good value for money.

Fabulous stay. But for our itinerary we would have enjoyed staying longer. Our room was spotlessly clean and was beautifully (simply) decorated and functional to one of the highest standards I have experienced on ym many travels. The staff are terriifc, breakfast was plentiful and of a wide variety/selection. Town is a short walk away (7-10 minutes) and the recommendations for a pre dinner drink and the restaurant recommended by the front desk were both terrific. Also, we were grateful to have chosen this location over the main square optioins as the town is very alive on a thursday/Friday night. I think the noise in town would have been quite loud!!

pioveva a dirotto quando siamo uscite per salire sul taxi e nessuno ci ha accompagnato con l'ombrello per impedirci di bagnarci nel caricare i bagagli.

Schönes Hotel in guter zentraler Lage direkt im Zentrum und nahe zur Gondelbahn auf den Rittem. Parkplatz und Tiefgarage auf der anderen Strassenseite. Gutes Frühstück, großes modernes Zimmer.

Bei unserer Anreise war leider der Haltestreifen zum Einchecken im Hotel durch Dauerparker belegt.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Strasse und konnten problemlos mit offenem Fenster schlafen. Sehr grosszügiges Zimmer, ausgezeichnetes Morgenessen.

recht zentrale Lage mit guter Parkmöglichkeit (gratis ohne Garage; 10€ bei Garagenbenutzung). Wunderbarer parkähnlicher ruhiger Freisitz/Essplatz hinter dem Hotel. Für 10€ sehr gutes Frühstück.

Bei der ganz flachen, "modernen" "barrierefreien" Duschwanne kommt es beim Duschen zu einer totalen Überschwemmung des ansonsten sehr sauberen Bades und darüber hinaus noch 1 m weite Bewässerung des Zimmers.

Lage, Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit des Personals waren Klasse.

Der Außenpool war noch nicht einsatzbereit. Das Frühstück sollte reichhaltiger sein. Ein Hinweis zur BozenCard sollte beim einchecken erfolgen. Der Preis ist relativ hoch.
