Hotel San Giorgio Terme overlooks Maronti Beach, the largest beach in Ischia. It offers 2 sun terraces with views of the bay, and free access to its private beach area and to its new wellness centre.
Score from 131 reviews Fabulous
With its own thermal swimming pool, Tenuta De Poggio Antico offers panoramic views of the hills with citrus trees, vineyards and sea in the distance.
Score from 154 reviews Exceptional
Miramare Sea Resort & Spa is set in a pedestrian-only area of Sant'Angelo, on the south coast of Ischia. Directly facing its private beach, it offers Mediterranean-style rooms with a sea-view balcony....
Score from 82 reviews Very good
Situated on Sant’Angelo’s peninsula, right by the port and overlooking Maronti Beach, one of the best on Ischia, Hotel Conte has the sea on both sides. It is located in a pedestrian area.
Score from 114 reviews Very good
Food was fab especially evening meal and the anti-pasto outstanding.
Bed was very firm..
Very nice views from the hotel
See view room are not the best but in fact the worst. Balcony is opened to the see but also to the bar so it is less quiet with less privacy.
If you're looking for a special place away from the more touristy places in the area then this might be just the place for you. It's a wonderful tranquil place with a relaxed atmosphere but still with a lot of class. Wonderful people, lovely rooms, great garden and pool and the sleepy village is just the place for a few days at a very low pace.
It might not be for everyone as the village truly is a quiet place with not a lot going on and some might be bored there. Restaurants and shopping is limited and the villa is not packed with a lot of entertaining facilities (thank god)
Poolarea, loungearea and rooms were nice.
We had been traveling around the island of Ischia for 7 days and this was our final destination and we were giving our self a treat with the junior svit and a full SPA package. BUT, when the time for SPA came, it was nowere to be found...they had booked us at the wrong day. I am so disapointed, we didnt even get a excuse or a offer for anything else, just the day after when we was checking out and leaving the island. So bad service over all, if you wasnt Italian. Worst hotel ever when it comes to service and the amount i paid for the junior svit is just a big joke.
I liked the fact that the location of the hotel was good (but yes hard to get to). The hotel was comfortable and clean. The pool was one of my favourite things about the hotel. Quiet and relaxing my boyfriend and I spent two whole days at the pool. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping were very nice and helpful. I liked the fact that there was no wifi in the rooms it made the whole experience more relaxing. Lunch at the hotel was excellent!
I believe that there are many false preconceptions about the hotel. The fact is the hotel does not technically have a private beach. You have to walk down for about 5-7 mins and you get a 10% discount on sun beds by the beach just like anyone else that is willing to pay. I was under the impression from booking.com that it was 20% discount. Anyway it costs around (9-13Euros) for two sun beds. For towels you also must pay extra. The staff (concierge/reception) were not helpful. They were nice, but most of the time vague. At check-in I would have assumed that we would give us a tour of the spa and their facilities but none of that happened. When we asked for directions to the beach they gave us very vague directions. I expected a much more helpful and cooperative staff for a four star hotel. We also had an incident at breakfast when we arrived at 9.30 am (breakfast closes at 9.45 am) and the waiter would not allow us to sit on one of the tables at the front as they began setting for lunch. After we agreed to move another customer arrived and he happily sat her in the exact same table we initially wanted to sit in. I found that to be very rude. Breakfast buffet is limited (for eggs or pancakes or anything extra you must pay even if breakfast is included).
View was incredible Pool was nice
The most expensive part of ischia island. We were the youngest couple there, we are in our mid 30's This is a walking area of the island, we had intended to rent a motor scooter but we had nowhere to park it. Ischia is a big island we were eager to explore however it was hard to leave saint Angelo due to its location. We felt almost trapped in the area because no bus routes run close to this area, also you are looking at a 30 euro cab fare to Forio Port, and anywhere else where there is decent night life. 50 euro cab fare from casamiciola
The location was unique and beautiful grounds Great surrounding places to walk and eat. Very relaxing once you settled in. Enjoyable warm spa . Waiting staff attentive but mechanical! Building and room well maintained
When we booked and asked about parking - did not tell us that parking was away from hotel and that it was expensive. Also did not inform us that an electric " golf" buggy would transport to hotel - yet another expense!! No book in room to explain about fixed menu dinners with costs!!! Expensive!! Staff not helpful on arrival - all smiles but no assistance !
Shower had window but no shade
Nice Garden & Terrace Area Great View over Sant Angelo Excellent Service
No Wifi in rooms
Fantastic place for escape, especially if your are looking for peace, silence, relaxation.
It would be great if this hotel has also pool with see water.
Fantastic location and a very charming building. The hotel is clean, nicely decorated and with a very friendly staff. In line with what you expect from a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is the minimum of what you expect from a 4 star hotel (but remember that Italians normally don't eat a lot of breakfast). Rooms are the same. We stayed in a upgraded room and it is nice and clean but nothing extraordinary. The pool and the SPA area (offering very good treatments) is nice for a rainy day. In total; the hotel offers all it has to offer for being a 4 star hotel but nothing more except the view that is priceless!
The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable (very hard so if you like hard beds you will find them very good I guess) and does not keep the standard of what you expect from a 4 star hotel. The beds are made old-school style with sheets and blankets and is not perhaps what you expect from 4 star hotels.
