Located across from the Genova Principe Train Station, the Continental is a restored Art Nouveau hotel overlooking the port.
Score from 770 reviews Excellent
the room is clean, the stuff is very welcoming, the position is great near the train station and a few blocks from the port. The breakfast is great.
A couple of streets from the main train station. No bar but a good off licence nearby and a large terrace at the hotel.
Showing its age, but clean and friendly. Ideal for a night or two if passing through Genova though.
Location is very near the railway station.
This old hotel. The facilities is old too.
I great location, close to old port, train station and other sightseeing attractions.
Interior a bit tired and dated
The views from the balcony were great, the rooms were fairly large, the location was good, breakfast was great, and it was great value.
The character of the rooms & furnishings was quite old and basic (but adequate).
that its near the Castle & Train Station
the complecated & Long way to reach the rooms
The location is good, if you're arriving by train and flying out the next day (shuttle service leaves from the train station which is less than five minutes away). Probably wouldn't recommend it to tourists staying in Genoa for longer. Staff was friendly.
Room was impersonal with no proper window. Fluorescent lighting didn't help the atmosphere. Still, good price-quality balance though.
I selected the Victoria hotel because of its closeness to the train station. It was a very short walk to the station, 3.5 min. The hotel was quiet and close to other main city tourist services. Excellent air conditioning that works.
Helpful staff and a lovely breakfast. Ideal location for the railway station.
Old but charming. Everything modelled in the 50s or 60s and nothing much updated but everything you need. Better breakfast than most hotels this cheap. Great access to station and easily walked into Genova
Perfect location and breakfast. Easy to find. Safe luggage keeping after check-out.
Had a misunderstanding about the room being pre-paid or not (it was) but everything was settled by the time we returned to collect the luggage.
the view from the windows. Our room was big. air conditioner breakfast
The location of the hotel is quite central, close to the P. Principe Train Station. The rooms were clean. We stayed there because the price was a bargain.
Firstly the breakfast of the hotel was simply terrible. It was an obsolete place. Quite hard to reach with antic elevators through mysterious corridors where the decoration was awful like pre 1970's Eastern Bloc hotels where you meet polite but suspicious-looking, quite elderly staff. We felt ourselves in a 1970's James Bond movie in that ambiance.
I have been in Genova for 1 day, and receptionist with exelent English has advised and showed on the map wonderful walking around the old city. Thank you! Hotel is very good location close to tthe port, city center, Principe station. It is comfortably for cruise travelling.
how a nice receptionists. they are old but incredible and the staff in the reception who is working at the daytime you have to meet him.kindly friendly helpful just an awesome. location is perfect it is near to principe st.also to the bus which are going to airport.breakfast is nice
The hotel is located near Principe train station on the NW end of historic center. It is end of famous street Via Balbi. Our room was spacious with small balcony. Included breakfast was very good. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Staff were fantastic. Couldn't do more for you.
Location Staff Room
There was not the pot and refrigerator.there was not the force of the shower.
staff was very friendly and helpful breakfast was ok location is excellent when you come by train (in front of Genova Principe), and 20 mn by walk from the old city room was quiet and clean
is not easy to find a parking place walls are thin; if neighbors are loud you can hear them
Short walk from train station and cruise terminal. Helpful staff were welcoming and provided advice on using my available time in Genoa. Staff held luggage between checkout and going to cruise terminal. Affordable.
- proximity to center-of-town train station - staff was very hospitable and gracious - they stored our luggage after we checked out - spacious and clean bedroom and bathroom - nice breakfast
- having to walk up 2 flights of stairs to check in (or take elevator). Photos on Booking.com did not show that the hotel is built on the side of a steep hill and needs to be accessed by elevator or stairs. - it seemed dated, like an old-fashioned hotel. Not a problem, just what it is!
Next to train station. Nice breakfast. Great staff
Very helpful reception staff. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Very close to train station.
Everything was excellent. Staff is beyond any praise!!!
I liked the fact it was authentically Italian and not just another hotel chain.
