Nuovo Nord is an affordable hotel enjoying a wonderfully central location in historic central Genoa. Set 165 ft from the train station, everything is just walking distance away.
Score from 927 reviews Very good
Best Western Porto Antico overlooks Genoa’s tourist harbor, and is right by the world-famous Aquarium. This historic building offers elegant rooms with parquet floors and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 1107 reviews Excellent
Next to the ferry and cruise terminal in Genoa, this Holiday Inn provides attentive service and elegant, modern rooms with satellite LCD TVs. It is 320 yards from Dinegro Metro station.
Score from 1448 reviews Very good
Set in the heart of the historic centre, Cit Hotel Britannia is close to the major attractions of the area and just a few steps away from the railway station and the cruise ships terminal.
Score from 166 reviews Good
The friendliness of the staff.
Clean and comfortable. No frills. In a good location for exploring Genova/joining a cruise.
We stayed here a couple of nights before a cruise. The Volabus from the airport stops a few minutes awalk away, next to the main railway station. It is only a 10 minute walk to the cruise terminal. It is set back from the road on the hillside, but there are lifts from street level - don't be tempted to climb the steps with your luggage. The hotel is old fashioned, but you are in one of the most historic city centres in Itally. Our room was large, adequately furnished (good to have a fridge), well-maintained and very clean. Breakfast was typical continental and more than enough to set you up for the day. Staff were very helpful, even storing our luggage at rhe end of our cruise while waiting for our flight. The neighbourhood is good with lots of restaurants nearby. It is an easy walk to the rest of the old town and the old port. No need to take tour bus. Overall a good, value for money stay.
Staff went out of their way to make you fill welcome and to help you in any way they could.
courteous and helpful service, convenient easy access (by lift) from street level 100m from station exit, comfortable (though) not opulent room.
nothing negative springs to mind
The hotel staff were very good and thank god for the lift!
The breakfast was average. Not a lot of fresh food to choose from. The beds were very hard.
Close to train station. Probably not directly affected by the floods, but the road in front might have washed out.
You had to take two elevators to get to the room (or climb a huge flight of stairs). Although price was low for that week in Genoa, it was very high for the quality of the hotel. We could not believe that it rated 3 stars--2 at most.
loved the friendly kind staff, the excellent location near the train station and metro and main street, breakfast
wifi problems 1st night didnt have wifi at all weird entrance, 2 elevators, and 1 very small doesnt fit more then 2 people with luggege
100% value for money,friendly staff
The location and price of this hotel was good.
Warm staff, very friendly.
Needs updating. Location good for transport (rail, cruise ships), but not in city center.
Location close to the station. staff were fantastic and very helpful
Expensive for what it was, room was very tired, air conditioning didn't work and the basin in the bathroom was not attached to the wall anymore - you had to be very careful with it!
Great reception staff and very helpful. Handy to train station. Adequate breakfast and got coffee served from waitress using proper coffee machine.
Price abit high for what really is a standard hotel. Rooms large and bathrooms well fitted out but nothing special to justify price. Water pressure on level 5 was weak.
the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The location was great, right next to the Central Railway Station. Took a day trip to Portofino, no problem! And just up the street from the Cruiseship Terminal. Also right in the heart of Old Town . Can walk every where.
The hairdryer is not very powerful and doesn't have the greatest water pressure.
Excellent and helpful staff. We truly were treated as valued guests.
The area was a bit noisy.
Ideal for a couple of nights and general City sightseeing. Really helpful and knowledgeable staff.good breakfast.
the room is clean, the stuff is very welcoming, the position is great near the train station and a few blocks from the port. The breakfast is great.
A couple of streets from the main train station. No bar but a good off licence nearby and a large terrace at the hotel.
Showing its age, but clean and friendly. Ideal for a night or two if passing through Genova though.
Location is very near the railway station.
This old hotel. The facilities is old too.
I great location, close to old port, train station and other sightseeing attractions.
Interior a bit tired and dated
The views from the balcony were great, the rooms were fairly large, the location was good, breakfast was great, and it was great value.
The character of the rooms & furnishings was quite old and basic (but adequate).
that its near the Castle & Train Station
the complecated & Long way to reach the rooms
The location is good, if you're arriving by train and flying out the next day (shuttle service leaves from the train station which is less than five minutes away). Probably wouldn't recommend it to tourists staying in Genoa for longer. Staff was friendly.
Room was impersonal with no proper window. Fluorescent lighting didn't help the atmosphere. Still, good price-quality balance though.
The proximity to the train station was perfect - if you look to your left just after the statue of Columbus, you will soon see the elevator to Hotel Vittoria. The family/staff was quite professional and really took time to outline a complete walk of Genoa to be sure that none of the city's sights were omitted. Also, we were offered a top floor room with a balcony for the same price as the 3rd floor we were assigned, so this room with a view was an unexpected surprise. The breakfast was constantly replenished and was generous, even including fresh fruit.
Bathroom was a little retro but was quite spacious.
