Surrounded by peaceful gardens, Villa Mabapa is an Art-Nouveau building with a quiet location on Venice-Lido. It is 330 yards from the Lido San Nicolò water-bus stop for Venice's historic quarter.
Score from 362 reviews Very good
Set 655 ft from the beach at Venice Lido, Villa Ines is an Art Nouveau building with garden. It offers air conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and glass chandeliers made by the owner's family.
Score from 127 reviews Excellent
Hotel Villa Laguna is set in a historic villa in Lido, right on the lagoon, with enchanting views of St. Mark’s Square. The nearest vaporetto (water bus) stop is 55 yards away.
Score from 201 reviews Very good
Set on the peaceful banks of Giudecca Island, the Hilton Molino Stucky is a former flour mill refurbished to become a unique hotel.
Score from 1196 reviews Very good
we liked the 19th century outlook of the building, the charm of the past days... very nice building and good location, good breakfast and very nice personnel.
It was ok to stay with child, even though they dont let the children to the spa, which we were looking forward to
wifi should be included in the room price no iron machines available at the hotel, only possible is the laundry service at the reception would be nice to get a map of venice or some brochures of venice and the sights... they have none
The hotel for 4 stars is in need of updating. It looks tired A small point but again for 4 stars i did not expect to find plastic cups in the bathroom.
Spa, served by Thailandies nationals, superb! Ladies running the reception were very professional, friendly and helpful.
Staff at breakfast room were not nice, except by a Thailandise national who was very helpful. The fon in the bathroom were from the '80s and not useful at all. Only provide liquid soap in bathroom. for 180 euro at night I would expect a lot more... than a motel style amenities.
For what we paid (470 euros for 3 nights), we thought we did very well. The hotel looks very grand (you almost have to fight your way through the non-guests having their photos taken outside it), we had a lovely big room with a nice bathroom and a massive bed.
Our room must sometimes be /have formerly been used as a suite, as there was a locked door separating us from the guests in the next room. This made us feel a little self-conscious as you could clearly hear people speaking on the other side of the door. Breakfast was served in a nice room but the choice and quality in some areas (like the cooked items) was a bit limited. I think for the standard rate of the rooms, Wi-Fi should be included in the price. You get 20 mins free each day but after that you have to pay.
Helpfulness of staff all over the hotel. Liked the decor and general ambience
Having to leave
big rooms, friendly staff, decent breakfast, transit from venice to lido isn't half bad
not being in venice proper because nothing to do in lido in the evenings.
Friendly, efficient staff. Lovely building, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Relaxing, quiet location perfect to chill after a hectic day walking Venice. Also have the benefit of beach just 5 minutes walk away.
Specialist Thai Spa in the basement over priced and didn't appear to be used much. Would be much better to have a gym and more general health & beauty services.
Food, lacation, staff, everything was better than expected.
it is not worth the money - looks expensive und luxury but is to old fashioned and need reform
This hotel is not pretty on the eyes due to it's amazing architecture but the best attriibute in my eyes is it's location. Situatied only steps away from the water bus, the beach, a great grocery store , pizza , gelato and of course Venice what more can you ask for;) . I will definitely return next summer.
Retro feel, fantastic steak restaurant. Attentive staff
Disinfectant smells in the corridors were a little overwhelming.
everything was excellent. what a grand hotel! in between the station and the beach (5 minute walk from each). the staff are very helpful, the room was beautiful and breakfast was very good.I will definitely go back and recommend it to anyone going to lido.
We loved the location which combines the best of two things, the city (boatbus) and the beach. The reception staff was very nice.
For a three star hotel I would have been happy but four stars felt overrated, and raised too high expectations. A combination of things like no plug in the room to charge the computer, plastic cups in the bath, no real schampoo (just the combined stuff) very hard beds, only one extra blanket (we were three), American!!! coffee at breakfast which was such a disappointment, but you can order real coffee for an extra charge.
Access to the Main Shopping Street
Access to the net and PCs in Lobby ist dead.
The place, the people who work into the hotel, the front terrace, the bed, the breakfast, the small distance to the beach and to the boat
The terrace from the back,
location is excellent ( beach , water bus/ bus stop, supper market, restaurant ,shop all around. even that , it is very peaceful, suitables for kids family. old and beautiful building.
Every day only have 20 min free wifi using time, if want to use free, need pay 5 eur. every time requires log in detail, very difficult /long user name and password. Breaskfast is quite simple.
Staff are pleasant and helpful Great location
Wifi internet very poor Breakfast could be better
Great location close to Vaporetto station on Lido. Lots of restaurants within 100 meters. 5 min walk to the public beach; option for private beach with the hotel. Nice breakfast with fresh fruits and pastries. Beautiful historic building with nice terrace and other public rooms.
5 Euro for wifi (for the whole stay, so not too bad). Omelette at breakfast is made from egg powder, not real eggs. Extra bed in three-man room is not the best.
Breakfast was not good, with few options and products with questionable quality - bread with mold was among the food at buffet!! What is unacceptable! The service, in general, was failed and flaw, to say the least. A very unpleasable experience, considering the price paid for it!!
the proximity to the Lido watertaxi, close by the beach, friendly and helpful staff
the bathroom was too small, the soap and shampoo dispenser were not refilled, thin walls
Lovely hotel. Staff friendly. Large rooms.
Cost to take car out to lido. €100 return for car and 4 passengers. If you add this to cost of hotel along with cost to go into venice from lido it becomes an expensive hotel to stay in.
The location, the look and the assistance of staff is great at this hotel. It is situated very close to the Lido stop is near the beach and has a relaxed atmosphere.
If you need to have broadband internet access, forget this hotel. The wifi is awful and there are many guests who suffer the same problem. Technically the wifi does work but it is practically impossible to use it for anything important as it is so slow. For such a great hotel to not offer a reasonable internet connection is really incredible. IF you don't want to be bothered by your email during your vacation this is an ideal hotel!!
The external facade is nice but that is all you get
When it is said 2.5 km from center of Venice, it is measured over the sea! You have to take the ferry each time you want to go to the center. The rooms are very small and archaic
Breakfast was amazing, hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, spa was incredible -very pricey but you can use sauna/steam room and jacuzzi for €20
Unless you are looking for a beach holiday, lido to St marks is around half hour on waterbus (vaporetto) - aside from the beach not much to do there and lacks the beauty Venice itself has
