Clean, large room, but not much else. Perhaps it would be good for a business meeting not my idea of a good cost/return ratio. We had a room on Via dell'Indipendenza which is a very busy street and we could hear the people walking under the portici almost all night. You can imagine the trucks going by! The shower stall was a patched together contraption. When checking out, the clerk asked me if I had anything from the minibar. Had to tell her there wasn't one in the room. |

The hotel is quite central in one of the most famous and busiest avenues in Bologna. It is has a stylish, minimalist and cool design. My room was big and had a nice view on the avenue. Well I made terrible nightmares because I just thought that I was in a hospital! You can see that my room wasn't a room before: cold, empty (I like minimalism but the atmosphere has to be warm at least, the furniture was reduced to the ultimate minimum) and scary ! The warm-up things they could at least put a cool wooden floor and not this 60's concrete funky floor !! |

Convenient location within walking distance of the station, efficient modern design of the room. This was an excellent choice for a brief stopover. The ten euro charge for breakfast meant the rate I got was not quite as good as it sounded. |

Friendly and oriented assistance by the personnel I could not get an adaptor for my electrical devices with American specifications. Other than that, the towels had a strong smell |

Modern, elegant, but not overdone. A few minutes walk from the railway station (and the airport bus), in one direction, the old city centre in the other. Good breakfast. All round, much better than I expected. a bit labyrintine, but you get used to it. |

Smart, clean, modern decor, recent decoration, in a classy old building. Limited number of parking spaces behind the hotel, although at extra cost. Quiet air conditioning and good plumbing, so differs from previous Italian experiences. Location a little way out from the centre (10-15 mins walk), but still in the historical part of Bologna, and surrounded by expensive clothes shops so not bad. Our room was streetside, and there was a little trafic noise, but not too disturbing and almost unavoidable in a city. We'd stay again. |

Location and building were nice The room was fine but the air conditioning unit was very noisy and the staff were ok but could have been more friendly and did not say where breakfast could be had or where the bar was. |

Location very central. We were upgraded, as it was my husbands birthday. The room was very noisy at night, due to traffic. |

The I Portici hotel had a great room. I never saw such a big room for Italian standards. My room was number 215. The staff was extremely nice and helpfull. We had a small problem with the sink but that was solved immediately. THe atmosphere of the hotel is modern, it is full of design objects. THe ceilings are beautiful and the restaurant is also a beautiful decorated theatre I thought the beds were a little bit hard to my standards but that is difficult for any hotel. |

I liked the location and external appearance. The room was large and bed comfortable. The interior design was minimalist and did not match the style of the building. The bathroom shower was very small and poor quality. There was no mirror in the room. |

Very nice, modern and clean rooms and with a very decent size bathroom. Furthermore, well located to discover the city. Staff was helpful and friendly. |

The hotel location was great - right in the middle of things. The design of the hotel and rooms was modern and up to date and certainly what you would expect in this bracket. The hotel also has a cool roof terrace which is perfect for drinks at the end of the day. The attitude of the staff (other than those on reception) was very poor - arrogant. Service of any kind, let alone prompt service, is clearly not a core skill. This is the first time I have encountered this kind of outlook in a hotel at this end of the market. Not good. I will be trying one of the city's other, older school hotels when I return. |

The hotel is nice and comfortable. The architecture and design is a mix of old and trendy style. Wifi access did not reach my 3rd floor room neither the Bar on second floor. |
