The best thing about I Dormienti was the staff - both were so friendly and welcoming, this apartment felt more like a hotel with the level of service you received both in regards to conversing/information about Rome from staff and cleaning the room to a high standard and changing the sheets daily. Free wifi was a bonus and the breakfast was delicious - pistachio/honey/jam/cream/oats/chocolate/plain croissants, pain au chocolat, donuts plus tea or coffee and orange juice for a very good price. Also, great taxi facilities booked for us to back Ciampino airport, only €40 guaranteed. Awesome location, right near the metro station and 5 minute walk from colosseum, 10 minute walk from termini. Excellent travel options/prices - you can travel for €1.50 for 100 minutes on any transport in Rome including tram, bus and metro. Our hotel manager was brilliant both professionally and personally, giving us great advice on how to get to pisa, Pompeii, trastevere district for markets, advice on where to go to get souvenirs from different reaaturants, where the nearest/best supermarket was for our budget and where to eat out too. Absolutely loved our stay and the hotel/management took a lot of our stress away which was fab as it was our first time travelling alone as adults. We'll definitely be returning to Rome, and definitely returning to I Dormienti!
- the personal was great and helpful - the room was clean when we arrived, and was cleaned every day - the AC worked perfectly (both warm and cold temperature) - the hotel is on a nice street, we didn't encountered any problems there on our sit. And it's 10 min far from Termini station, and 1 minute far from Cavour station. - i would definitely go there again in my next visit to Rome :)
- the internet wasn't so great, but it still worked enough for what i needed. - you have to pay attention on the street number to find the hotel, because the hotel it's only signalized by a small panel
Better than I was expecting. Really close to major attractions, and plenty of places to eat at nearby. Room was small but comfortable.
Wi-Fi didn't reach end rooms.
Although we had at first place some problems with the foreman of dormienti and we had kinda bad relations, it was my fault. One thing after another did not let me trust him, but finally Jewel is really cool! Serif, the guy who cleans the rooms during the morning, is really "the man". There was a fridge which helped us a lot. As near and as far from termini in the same time, as it needs.
I 've lived days with better wifi signal. Water was not that hot in the morning, but in the evening it was really good. There was no kitchen, but in the description there was no such promise, so that's ok. There will be hours you will not find anyone in the ho(s)tel, but i don't think that it consists a major problem. There is a late check in fee.
Location is perfect 5 minutes from the colosseum and 2 minute walk to metro. Situated on a cobbled street with great cheap restaurants. Rooms are basic but clean so what more would you want for the price. Would recommend and definitely stay again.
Wi-Fi connection wasn't good
The location was perfect! And the room really comfortable. Clean!
At first we thought that the hotel was really small with a really narrow corridor, but the room was fine!It didnt have breakfast at all.
Good location Staff are nice
Poor wifi Very small beds
the neighborhood is great and alive and the hotel it is at the center, maximum 15 minutes from all the touristic points!! the people in the reception is very gentle and very helpful. The cafe that there are next to the hostel have very nice coffee and there some very nice bakery with delicious things!
The noise from the floor above.
the location is excellent. just one metro stop from Termini. Also some nice restaurants around the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful
Very good choice for a couple that is all day out in the city and get back to have a bath and get sleep. The room was warm and there was hot water for a shower all day.
That I paid in cash and not with my credit card.
Very good location. Clean. Large windows that opened right out. Bed comfortable enough. Staff fixed light bulb when it went out.
Staff didn't speak much English so couldn't ask them about anything. Did they have a kitchen? I wasn't shown one.
Great location, friendly staff (gave us useful information), nice rooms, cleaning every day, you can find great coffe and croissants at the coffe right next to the hotel, metro station only 2 minutes but you can go everywhere on foot. The best option if you don't want to spent money for your accommodation!
The location was good, close to a metro station, and a few minutes walk to the coliseum. The rooms where clean.
Staff didn't know English, every time we had a question we had to wait to have the owner on the phone and help us. Wifi connection only on the reception, the signal didn't get to our room. We where charged additional fees to have our luggage stored, 2 euro per luggage.
Very good location, close to metro and lots of local places to eat&drink. It doesn't offer much but it's worth the money. Good for travellers whom are looking for a clean room at the city centre with an affordable price.
Nothing in particular, I Dormienti is a basic place with basic amenities.
Room had a safe and comfortable bed. Room was clean everyday
Hot water problems at night, room next to the reception is very noisy. Bathroom needs some painting. Very basic furniture and decoration
Fabulous location surrounded by bars and resturants 5 min walk from Colosseum
Wifi unpredictable but did work well if sat in reception area
Great locality, amazing personal and sesvis. Highly recomended!
Central, near iconic sights of Rome Lovely cafe location for breakfast. Delicious coffee&croissant too! Inexpensive&rustic
Noisey bar across the road Minimal bedding Water cold on first morning!
Great location. Close to most everything. Many stairs and 2 locked doors to go thru before you get to your unit, but this was great for security purposes.
Great value for money, perfect location (5 minutes to Colosseum), good restaurants in the street (there is no restaurant in the hotel, but you can find everything in the street with discount). The staff was very polite and attentive. Great WiFi. Totally recommend.
Very clean, light and spacious room , very good location.
No Wifi in the room
5 minutes from historical center
The breakfast at the café just below was great, with wifi & terrasse. The street of I Dormetti was nice and trendy.
The staff was never at the reception, I had to leave several messages to be able to see them to pay our room. Wifi was not working. Rooms were not trendy/arty at all.
