Offering panoramic views of Saint Peter's Square from its rooftop terrace, Residenza Paolo VI is actually a former monastery. It is next to the Vatican walls in the heart of Rome.

1 minute from metro Nice, minimal decoration, good size of room Lively area, full of restaurants and cafes, Excellent staff
20 minutes from pantheon (although nice walk, you cross many monuments) A lot of noise during night at summer due to the many restaurants, Shower needs maintenance Breakfast is just coffee and croissant, served in a nice nearby cafe Firm matress
location. Sympathik owner
The incredible nicotine smell in the room and bathroom. No table or chair at the room. They told us we could park there, but it is forbidden even to get to this street by nonresidents.
Wasn't too sure at first because it wasn't on the High street. However all my fears was put to rest once i got in. The decor was beautiful but very inventive n creative to give it that personal touch. As if a lot of thought has gone into it n not just money thrown at it. The street was very bubbly n vibrant with a Jazz School opposite n full of restaurant n bars
the wifi worked on my phone but not on my laptop.
The hotel is very close to the metro and therefore it was easy to get around. The area was nice, with small shops and restaurants, also it was a very safe area. Our room was cleaned everyday and we also got clean towels every second day. The staff was friendly, but not all of them were very good at english. In the end we figured everything out sooner or later. They were eager to help with everything they could - both tourist questions and regular questions as were to find a pharmacy.
The breakfast was fine, but the amount weren't much. We got one croissant and one cup of coffee or glass of juice. Beside that the sounds travel very easily between the rooms. We could hear when other guests came home and also talking from the room beside us, when we first fell asleep that didn't matter though.
Perfect location Clean Internet Air condition
Poor breakfast- but well you are in Italy- and that is their way for breakfast.
We had a very good experience. It is quite close to Colosseum and really good area around. The hotel is really clean and the service also great. It value for money! I really wanna come back to stay there if i will be back to Rome.
The wifi is kind of slow
Helpful staff, great location, definitely recommend
Wifi range (First would problems)
The location of the hotel is perfect. Its walking distance from the "Cavour" metro station, 1 stop from main Termini station. The Colosseum is walking distance 5 min. The hotel people are very helpful and warm. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast included has a cup of coffee and a yummy croissant! Over it was a wonderful stay!
Nothing to mention.
- Location ( Close to Colloseum and center - walking distance) - Helpful staff - Free breakfast ( croissant and coffee) - Elevator
Moisture in room
We had a very good experience. It is quite close to central station. It value for money 100%
The breakfast is not very good
Forced to pay twice after proving the money was debited months ago using an online banking app. Customer service was poor, no apology, unpolite and rude.
Very good located.
No wifi in the rooms and poor breakfast.
Staff was friendly and very helpful. Able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The things I "didn't like" are really inconsequential compared to the good things about the place.
The room seemed so barren and devoid of color or decoration, but we got used to it. Would have liked some clothes hangers. The people in the coffee bar where we got our breakfast (croissant and a cup of coffee) were unfriendly and unhelpful.
Staff is very friendly and always offering advice. They helped finish our tour of rome in 2 days by pointing out tour options on the map.
Other rooms had insects but our room was queit clean. The bathroom ventelation was not that great.
Fantastic location with easy access to transport and walking distance to Rome's great attractions. We loved the choice of of restaurants right on your doorstep. The area had a truly Italian feel, with plenty of character, we felt like we were among the locals.
The only minor disappointment was that there were no English TV channels available. However, with the sites of Rome to explore this wasn't overly important.
Location and helpful staff
The man at the front desk was very kind and friendly and went out of his way to make sure our stay was a comfortable one.
Wi Fi was a bit disappointing and not that great in the room.
Lift Convenient to transport
No tea and coffee facilities in room.
The hotel was in an excellent location, (we couldn't have asked for better), it was literally a 5 minute walk to the Colosseum and in the heart of Rome. The hotel is very easy to find and there is no need to pay for a taxi, basically come out of the airport, follow the signs for the train station, get a train direct to termini central, when you come out of termini, cross the road, (to the opposite side of the bus station), walk down Via Cavour, turn right onto S. Maria Maggiore, first left onto Via Urbana to 96, (Green Door), on Right hand side, and ring the bell, (if you miss the turn off for S.Maria Maggiore, simply carry on down Via Cavour until you get to Cavour Station and go down the steps on your right to the station and up the next steps, then turn Right onto Via Urbana and walk to 96 on your left). We really enjoyed our stay and the hotel Manager, (Ron), could not have been more helpful if he tried. He was always pleasant and obliging in the way he interacted with us and helped to make our stay the more enjoyable. I also liked how busy the street was and listening to the local accents and conversations from our hotel room, which helped gives us a real experience of the local culture and life. To sum up, if you are on a budget and just want somewhere to sleep and get washed etc. But also want to be in a Central Location for the sights of Rome you cannot do better than staying at this hotel.
There is nothing that I didn't like about my stay in Rome or the Hotel I stayed in. But if I want to be picky I would advise anybody to ignore the Tour Guides trying to sell tours at inflated prices, (you do not need them), and the street sellers were a nuisance because they were like ants that got everywhere.
Location, location, location, cleanliness and value.
Hard to find initially. Room a bit spartan in decor.
Location is great, close to Cavour metro station and within walking distance to the Colosseum. Good bed linen and clean room. Worth the money if what you are looking for is a great location. Breakfast is basic (as most of Rome's hotels), a choice of beverage and a croissant (but a good croissant =D)
24h reception is a lie. They did wait for our arrival, as we mentioned in the booking that we would arrive late, but the other days, we could barely see the staff during the day. Despite the room being clean (bed linen and floors), our bathroom was poorly ventilated and smelled of cigarettes. The walls are paper thin and you can hear all that is going on in the streets. You pay for the location.
For a budget hotel this was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, nice new shower room, kettle available if required. The wifi connection was always good. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Termini station and the Colosseum.
The street was rather noisy in the mornings but it didn't bother us, and we were there on a holiday weekend so Rome was busier than usual
Super excellent location...100 yards to the Cavour Metro stop which made getting to most tourist sight great and a 5 minute walk to the Colesium. Ron was very helpful...
