Il Borghetto is a Country Inn located in Montefiridolfi, in the Chianti region, just 20 minutes by car from the centre of Florence and 40 minutes from Siena.
The original village, with its remains of military towers dating back to the 15th century, includes the main farmhouse, which has been completely restructured, two medieval grain silos and the owners’ residence.
The Azienda Agricola extends for 30 hectare, comprising of olive groves and vineyards and produces extra virgin olive oil and Chianti Classico and Merlot red wine. The Etruscan Tomb of the Archer is located in the property at a few minutes walk from the Inn. The Tomb dates back to the 12th century B.C. It’s one of the most ancient monuments of the northern part of the Etruscan region.
It is possible to visit the Cellar (Wine tasting) and buy Chianti wine and Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced at Il Borghetto.
