Score from 177 reviews Wonderful
The country house offers all the charm that you could imagine under the Tuscan hills. It is tastefully decorated, the house is well maintained, the views are stunning and the hosts Angelica and Paolo always made sure that we were comfortable. Have seen other properties within Chianti but we have decided that we love what Il Casello offers and that is where we will stay when we come back. It feels like home.
Nothing! It probably might be of value to offer shuttle services to and from strategic places
Warm and personal hosts, beautiful place to spend time for a relaxing and enjoyable visit to Tuscany, close to many quaint and historical sites, great local restaurants, enjoyed our dinner the 1st night at the same restaurant with our hosts, Paulo always available to provide directions and shortcuts to local sites, Angelica's cooking was authentic and truly a home cooked meal to enjoy.
ZIP, ZERO, NADA!!
The service from Paolo and his wife was amazing. They were both so nice and so helpful. They would do anything for you
Country setting, beautiful view Enjoyed visiting the winery just down the road
The inn is worn & tired, dark common area with dim lighting, very outdated uninteresting books strewn about. Limited breakfast which felt rushed...don't order the one hot offering of scrambled eggs ....dry crumbs. Host was not very welcoming or eager to share suggestions for the area which we really would have appreciated. We almost felt that we were imposing by being there. Disappointed after having read favorable reviews.
Paulo and Angelica are lovely, their dog Taco was adorable as our tour guide on a walk for a wine tasting then into town for dinner, she kept looking back to ensure we were keeping up. Lovely room and the breakfast area is amazing with plenty to choose from. Even though we got in late without giving them notice they were super accommodating and helpful with questions.
Great location, great hospitality
In high-season my feel a bit crowded
The property and location are perfect for the Tuscan countryside and a landing a leavin strip to explore the area. Paulo & Angelica are the utmost hosts, kind, salt of the earth people. Paulo have us the best itineraries each day complete with restaurant reservations where we went back for more. Do not hesitate. Book immediately. You will be sad to leave.
Nothing not to like but a tip for the region is do not rely on gps so be careful when planning all of your arrivals and departures with bespoke directions from where you are going.
We loved this B&B. The owners are so helpful and accomodating. It has so much charm and great views. Breakfast was delicious and we loved eating in the courtyard. We have nothing negative to say!
We loved staying in this calm and cozy place. Enjoyed having breakfast on the outdoor terrace with the spectacular view. Paolo and Angelica are so pleasant and helpful.
Had a little trouble finding it, but the search was worth it.
Paolo and Angelica were wonderful hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and there was a large variety. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The B&B's decor is beautiful, with small exquisite details everywhere you look.
Beautiful location. Warm, friendly and helpful host, who answered all our questions. The style of the room very relaxed with lovely furnishments. After visiting Firenze, nice to be back in Panzano. We enjoyed the stay. Bibi, Oslo Norway
Very nice place! It could need a little updating, but all in all, very charming buildings in pretty surroundings. Very nice and friendly hosts.
A bit close to the road
The very non prentecious atmosphere. Geniune and tastful de oration.Splendid views , pool and complete breakfast. But most of all the smiles of Angelica and Paolo , the hosts.will return. An extra plus situation with 80m to the bus stop to take you to Florence.
We stayed 1 night at that hotel. Loved the location, great customer services and the place was clean. We'll be back ;-)
The hosts are lovely people, very helpful, the house is very nice decorated and the breakfast on terrace is excellent with fresh fruits, cereals, bred, cakes etc. It's a perfect place for spending some calm days in wonderful Toscany. Thank you for this marvellous stay!
location and rooms and lovely views across the countryside. Nice sunny patio.
A bit expensive for a solo traveller. However, this would apply equally to many hotels in Italy.
Friendly and welcoming owners, beautiful view & pool, great homebase to discover Tuscany
We didn't have the room that we booked. We were not told of ALL the facilities. The staff were not hospitable, cold, no character warmth or welcome.Only found out the day we left that we could order a drink there. Bed was not made. Many biting insects. Last but not least charged for laundry when we didn't have any done!!!!!
Location is central to Sienna Florence and is a great quiet countryside residence with great facilities including a pool. Great Food and service from friendly hosts Palo and wife made our stay memorable. We did a pleasant countryside walk from residence and visited local resturants and wineries as well as nearby. We even took Tacho their dog for a walk, or she took us, but then detoured to visit her own doggie friend on the way home and owners had to go and retrieve her. Great experience recommend to anybody who wants a quiet stay or central Tuscan home stay to travel from.
- Friendly and helpful hosts who also speak good english - Beautiful location - Authentic Tuscan feel - Lovely breakfast
We enjoyed our week stay in a self contained apartment - the kitchenette was well equipped; bathroom large and spotlessly clean and our private outdoor area pleasant. The salt water pool was wonderful to come back in late afternoon and there was always plenty of room and sun loungers available round the pool. The property is situated midway between Greve in Chianti and Panzano so plenty of choice for restaurants, bar and even basic shopping in the Coop.
The hospitality and friendliness. The decor of the room. The location was beautiful and convenient to everything we wanted to do.
Paulo and Angelica were great. Very helpful with suggestions for day trip and dining option. The vistas from the property are lovely. Chianti at it's best. Great for a relaxing holiday. I'd strongly suggest driving up from Rome (or any other city you may be visiting from) if you are up to it. You get to drive through some stunning Tuscany countryside.
Lovely dog and cat, swimming pool, garden
