Beautiful location and very central; our room was on the 2nd floor with a nice view on the roofs of Siena and the hills in the background. The room was simply but nicely furnished and decorated, the bathroom recently renovated, everything spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good with selection of food. It was not a problem for us, but there is no lift at the hotel, so avoid heavy suitcases. The hotel management could add more detailed information on the Chiostro website about how to reach the place by bus from the train station in Siena. We did take a bus, but it took us ages to get to the right door gate, and it was pure guess to understand where to stop as we toured around the hill! Nice landscape though, so we actually enjoyed the bus tour |

Excellent location Directions were a little sketchy - should mention "Parking 10" as there are 2 red/white barriers next to each other |

The rooms are basic but well appointed and clean. Breakfast was limited but adequate. Not for those who expect a warm and welcoming reception! |

The location is great. It's within very close walking distance to the center of activities in Siena. The staff is very kind and helpful. Room is spacious and very comfortable. No elevator. But we stayed in the second floor so it's not really a big deal to us. |

It is charming and very historic. A good location for exploring Siena city centre. The courtyard was amazing, very peaceful, pretty and a great place to sit and relax in the evening. There was no lift and we had to drag our cases up 36 stone, sloped steps to the first floor and then a further 36 steps to the second floor. There was not porter or staff available to help with this. The soundproofing between rooms also needs improvement as I could hear the couple in the next bedroom at night!! |

Very old building in walled city. Updated beautifully and the view of the Tuscan hills from our room wonderful. Pretty courtyard where you could sit and relax. |

Wonderful building, lots of atmosphere. Very tastefully decorated No surprise here- the lack of a lift is a definite drawback. |

Asked for and received a quiet room.Very nice location. Good countryside views. Staff was incompetent, rude and unfriendly. Asked for directions to hotel, by bus, from bus station. Replied by email to take bus 3 to Piano Del Mantellini or Piazza San Augusto. Bus 3 took 30 minutes to take us to the south entrance to the city. Driver said it was the end of the line. Helpful passenger told us to wait for smaller bus. Waited 10 minutes. Small bus took us inside the city but did not go to either stop. Driver let us off and pointed. Totally lost. Helpful local told us how to find hotel. ten minute walk. Upon arrival, after our 55 minute ordeal, we complained. Desk clerk rudely told us it was out fault, but she had not sent us email so it was not her fault. Manager not available. |

Location is wonderful near the Duomo and other sights. Lack of an elevator and the need to call the central office to control the air conditioning are real negatives. |

At very special hotel with good blend of history and comfort. A great place to stay for a weekend gettaway! The building has no lift, so it's difficult to carry heavy lugages if you are staying at upper levels. |

I thought the hotel itself was authentic and full of character - the buildings history (a previous convent) has been restored while at the same time providing a modern comfortable stay. The staff were extremely helpful. The location is perfect, a 5-10 min walk to the Il Campo and there are plenty of lovely restaurants close to the hotel.. |

I liked the fact that the hotel has a very central location and that it knows how to maintain the antique architecture without forgoing any comfort. |

The view from our room, the authentic, olde worlde charm, the friendly staff, quiet area but a few minutes walk from the centre. No lift, lots of stairs, but worth it for the view |

We found ourselves in an spacious room with comfortable bathroom. Roberto, the receptionist, was particularly nice and helpful. 1. They should not charge for parking. It should be a plus of their service. 2. The wireless Internet was supposed to be available also in the room and it wasn´t. You had to come downstairs, close to the reception desk to get it, and that was very inconvenient. 3. Breakfast was better that at previous hotels but still it could be improved. |

Being a former convent, it's very quiet and cool even right in the heart of the old (and very hot and noisy) city of Siena. Perfect for walking out for tourism, shopping and eating. |

Staff very attentive beautiful setting. Room comfortable with a beautiful view. Air conditioner not controllable from room i.e. can't turn down / up yourself plus a bit noisy. Also air conditioning automatically comes on with absence of key card probably would save money by stopping this and allowing it to be controlled from the room. |

The Il Chiostro Del Carmine was a pleasant place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable with a nice view of the rolling hills of the countryside. The location was an easy 5 minute walk to the main Piazza del Campo and other touristic sites. The breakfast was nice, but the sunny courtyard was simply a lovely way to start the day. |

Hotel Athena is within the historic city walls, and enjoys spectacular views of Siena and the Tuscan hills. The cathedral and Piazza del Campo are a short walk away. |
Il Casato offers the experience of staying in an ancient 14th century palace in the heart of the city, behind Piazza del Campo and a short walk from the Duomo. |
Housed in a refurbished 18th century patrician villa, this small and cozy hotel is situated a few metres from Porta Romana; one of the medieval entrances to Siena’s historical centre. |
Hotel Porta Romana is an 18th-century villa offering great views and free parking just 15 minutes' walk from Siena's main square, Piazza del Campo. Buses stop right outside. |
