Hotel Italia is a charming 20-minute walk from Siena's Piazza del Campo. In summer, enjoy free access to a nearby swimming pool and tennis court.

Villa Scacciapensieri is surrounded by a large park just outside Siena, and offers beautiful views of the Chianti Hills.

Located inside Siena's historic walls, Hotel Athena offers free parking, an elegant Italian restaurant and a furnished terrace with views of the town and the surrounding valley. Internet is free.

Set between the center of town and the main train station, Hotel Minerva offers fabulous views of Siena. Stay in clean, modestly furnished, spacious accommodations.
Score from 561 reviews Good
That it was so close to everything. We stayed in rooms away from the main hotel and they were ok. Not the best bed but for one or two nights it's fine. It was nice and quite The breakfast was really good, the English speaking girl at the reception was very nice and helpfull. And the location was fantastic I would stay there again
I would like real towels and a good comforter in the bed. Our closet smelled not so good
Old building full of character with a beautiful cloister courtyard. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel lacked facilities. No bar or coffee/eating facilities and wi fi only available in one small area. The courtyard would have been a lovely setting to enjoy a drink or coffee but this was not readily available. Very basic bed and breakfast really and not what I would expect from a 4 star establishment.
Location, Quiet area
Friendly, helpful staff. Good location close to town and has parking(but only for small cars)
- Location - Architecture - Cleanliness - Facilities
Everything except one thing
It would have been nice to get a coffee or other drink in the day
Location was great and we were able to enjoy all aspects of the Palio from the Friday parade and practice through to the Saturday street parades and race etc. Knowledgab and friendly staff
We were on the top floor in a good room but our holiday companions had a ground floor with no outside window. The two rooms were not really comparable.
Breakfast. No more croissants after 9:00AM - breakfast until 10:00AM. Only one (breakfast) waiter for ca. 45 guests.
Staff is helpful and multilingual. All questions answered. The hotel is part of a church monastery and is truly amazing - 400 years old. Breakfast was self serve but in an open-air courtyard incredible --food was plentiful and delicious.
Bed mattress could be better. It is an old church so tub and electrical is older. Still worth the money and a beautiful experience.
Staff were so helpful and friendly, they helped us identify some free parking in the area. Really saved us a lot of time figuring it out on our own. Breakfast was great too. I would stay here again

The building itself. Location within the city walls of Sienna
Being charged a car parking fee!
good location, close to centre, good rooms
no elevator, luggage problem, parking is there, but small cars only, no dinner, no bar, nothing to do - only self service ( bring the wine and drinks with You ) Noisy air-condition, door beat
The staff were very helpful and chatty. The courtyard is beautiful and you can bring back your own wine, cheese cured meats etc and the staff will provide you with plates/glasses/cutlery etc. It's far enough from the centre to be quiet but still only 10mins walk to the Campo.
The wi-fi was sketchy even in the wi-fi room. We've found wi-fi can be sketchy all around Tuscany. Our room could have done with a quick lick of paint over the filled-in plaster holes in the walls and the door caught on the floortiles - really really minor.
Location, furnishings, our room, friendly staff, the view and Overall ambience.
The hotel is a beautiful old building and very well situated. The staff are all excellent; charming, welcoming andvextremely helpful. We loved it here!
There is a lovely internal courtyard where breakfast is served. It would be really great if this space could be used as a residents' bar during the day/evening.
Everything is brilliant except for....
Wifi reliability was woeful so if wifi is critical to you look elsewhere!
Excellent location. Very helpful and lovely staff, room was big but. Wi-Fi was a let down. Did not work at all in the room and had to sit in the lobby to make connection.
All the stairs with the cases.
Friendly, helpful staff. Very nice breakfast. Quiet, clean room. Loved staying in a converter monastery.
Wifi only works in lobby/shared space.
The historical context of this peaceful hotel in a beautiful city.
I had to ask the staff about the relevant history (I chose this hotel precisely for its history), there was no reading material to reflect its historical significance.
They had just started to have breakfast in the courtyard which was really lovely. Friendly, helpful staff.
SO many stairs! We had literally about 5 flights of stairs to get to our room, so just keep that in mind. Also, the wifi only worked downstairs.
We highly recommend staying at this hotel! The staff is helpful and cheerful, a true pleasure to speak with them. All needs are met and questions answered. And the actual monastery is a treasure. Breakfast in the summer is served in an open-air, brick courtyard--it's charm is beyond compare and the food was plentiful and delicious. Finally the views from various windows at the hotel and from our room of medieval rooftops and the hills of Siena were breathtaking. Do not hesitate to stay here!
The only issue is with the wireless. It is not available in the guestrooms but in a room off of the lobby. Unfortunately it was spotty at best from there. Then again, Siena is too beautiful to spend time looking at a computer screen.
My daughter and I were pleased with the size of the bathroom and the room itself. We asked for a quiet room and it was very quiet considering there was a street party going on during both evenings we were there. Breakfast exceeded the usual Italian breakfasts. There was fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, yogurt, cereal, juices, cornetti, toast, jam, nutella, and cappuccino, expresso, coffee or tea. The receptionists were both very helpful. They booked a walking tour for us, called a taxi (that arrived in 5 minutes) and made dining suggestions.
The beautiful inner courtyard could have been enjoyed during the evenings or afternoons but we would have to have brought our own food and drink. The first night I noted a light had burned out in the ceiling lamp but it was never replaced. There was also a magazine in the trash when we arrived which leads me to believe that the housekeeping quality control measures are lacking.
Beautiful old building, lovely breakfast setting, large rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
The shower! Just a handheld slotted onto the wall, too low down to do a hands-free shower - fine for short people. Water pressure low and heat inconsistent, hot-cold.
We must have drawn the short straw because our room was small with a view of a roof and not much else. A bit noisy with people slamming doors and running down the hallway.
