I loved the location and the feeling of being in a monastery. It was peacefull.

The charm of the old building, the view from the room, the location, the parking facilities and the amablility of the staff

The interior decoration is not first-rate and the breakfast is too basic. We took advantage of a discount price, but the normal price seems a bit too high.

The atmosphere of a genuine 13C monastery. The ability to park close-by, the opportunity to stroll into Siena and the proximity to several inexpensive restaurants. The staff were all friendly and breakfast was good with lots of choice.

The wi-fi was difficult to connect to and did not operate in our room. Our TV was broken, although that was not a great hardship as we were not desperate to watch it. The ancient stairs were quirky but we found hat they were a little difficult to ascend because they were so worn. Anyone with mobility problems would have difficulty here although there was a disability chair lift.

This is a place with character, a former monastery from the 14th century, very appropriate to start your experience of Siena . a very impressive place , I could imagine the daily life of its habitants. Beautifully located, at reasonable distance to Siena centre, close to the town gate. A convenience shop and a simple and nice restaurant worth to be named, Due Archi, a few steps from the entrance. The room was reasonably large, sparsely furnished, as you could expect in a former monastery. The modernities, as the bathroom and internet connection, were fully satisfactory.

The breakfast, however I a n amazing hall, was not very impressive. What was surprising in this and many other formally four stars hotels I visited in Italy is the fact that flowers in the public areas and in the breakfast hall, were artificial. “Elementary, my dear Watson”. I also had the impression that the restoration of the complex is half done, not really finished yet. I may expect too much but for such a historical place, you really wish to see it refurbished to the full past glory.

Good location close to campo's square in a quite street. We were ready to climb the stairs since we knew there was no lift.Those stairs will be hard for elderly people, family with small children or pregnat women. The room and bathroom were nice.Excellent breakfast with warm fresh brad and croissant, italian way so more sweets than solty food but very good In general. The staff offered to carry our luggage but we found their attitude much more formal than in other hotels in Tuscany where suggestions were given to us willingly. in any case I will recommend this hotel to friends and family

The room has a nice view..silent environment, good breakfast, firendly staff, reasonable price. I enjoyed staying this hotel.

It's a little bit cold in the room, maybe it's because this hotel was built hundred years ago...And it's not easy to find(..there is no sign ....anywhere...fortunately I took the taxy so I could find it in just 5 minutes..)

Set in a convent. Very near the city.

There s no lift. Very small room. Small double bed. Pushy receptionist whom suggested a local restaurant as we decided not to book a table she did not tell us where the restaurant was.

Location is really good and the people friendly.

The noise from the neighbor room through the common door inside the room was very very annoying. No sound proofing.

The atmosphere of the hotel, the staff was very helpfull.

Their is no elevator in the hotel which makes it quite difficult for people staying at the top floor.

Very comfortable. Very interesting style. Different than checking into a modern building. It's very clean and quiet.

Spatious, comfortable, full of character, very quiet and convenient.

The main staircase is hard work for anyone who is infirm, but is a fundamental feature of this hotel and worth the effort.

Please please please hot water is very important. We would not have stayed if we knew it was not working.

Gorgeous setting in a converted Carmelite convent; many of the original details preserved. Furnishings were beautiful and tasteful (unlike many Italian hotels which feel shabby and hurriedly put-together). Friendly and competent front-desk staff.

Minor point - we would have liked more information about the history and heritage of the hotel, since it has such a historical past!

It is a charming and comfortable place, only a few blocks away from Siena´s main sites and views. We enjoyed very much the medieval architecture of its facilities (the restored yard is very beautiful). The staff was very nice and helpful, too.

Perhaps that the hotel lacks an elevator. My wife was 5 months pregnant by the time we stayed there, and this would have been very helpful for her, considering that one have to climb long stairs to get from the ground to the first floor (where most of the guest rooms are).

A beautiful old building superbly transformed into a splendid hotel - with the most efficient, friendly staff you could wish to meet. It's just a short walk from the stunning sights of Siena and having its own car park is a real bonus.

I was very happy with the accomodation. The view was lovely, the room was fine and the staff very helpful and friendly.
