The bedroom was very clean and the room service was excellent. Clerk desk were very polite.
I wasn't informed in advance that would be necessary to leave personal document in check in (It never be asked me before!) The bedroom are in a different building of reception desk. The same about breakfast that is outsourced in a cafeteria. There wasn't WiFi in bedroom. I wasn't informed in advance that the works to improve the facilities by a operational lift didn't finished. I needed to climb FIVE floor by stairs I wasn't informed in advance that would be necessary to pay in cash only a Roman Touristic Tax (that was 20% of total amount)
Location, very clean room and nicely design (given it was out of cellar, garage or sth) and quiet, good for partying people who want to sleep long, not to be disturbed and not to disturbed anybody
Room constructed out of cellar or garage, with very small underground window giving wiew to backyard wall, entrance directly from street, so no common area to sit when kids sleeping (got headache and backpain from sleeping too long), no wifi, superficial staff: complementing "your children are nice" without even seeing them at start, no question about stay at the end, hopefully other rooms are nicer
The location was good and the price.
4th floor steps and pay the taxes by cash mandatory.
Very friendy and helpful staff
3 flights of stairs with all our suitcases was very hard going. We are a couple in our late 60's and even though we were aware there was no lift, we were not prepared for the climb we had to do each day. We specified NO SMOKING. Our room had had smokers in it at some stage prior to our stay and during our stay the room next door was very strong in smoke smells and the people came out smoking several times that we saw. Very disappointed with this. Also having to go to a local cafe for breakfat was not what we expected.
The personel is very friendly and helpful, good location.
The first room we got was smelling really bad with the old sewage system. It's not something you expect for such price. Due to the failure of electricity in the apartment (thank God) we were moved to another room which was much cleaner and definitely nicer, despite it was pretty dark (even during the day we had to turn on the light so as not to feel we're in the basement) and had no shelves to put your clothes on (!!!). As we had to move out from the first room we expected another room to be ready immediately, but this was not the case. Covo did not reduce the price for this 1 night even by a cent.
Good location The room was clean and comfortable. Reception staff were kind and polite, they have been recommend the view and landmark of Rome
Location is good and close to everything but the noise of people, cars, motor bikes, truks it just dies not stop.
We had room on the 4 floor and we had to take 92 step to go to our room, our air condition didn't work and we had few black out and WiFi is only in their lobby not in the rooms.
4th floor and no elevator
Breakfasts were awful, noise from the street was terrible
Il Covo's location is between the Colosseum and the main train station, and walking distance from both. Their staff was very helpful. Breakfasts were at a small cafe in a nearby square, and are basic but tasty.
Il Covo has several rooms in a nearby apartment building. The office is in a separate hotel a short block away. There is no lift/elevator to the Il Covo rooms, and they're up three stories - so lots of exercise! The room we had was basic but adequate, and clean.
I like the curtain and lamp.
No wifi. I have to walk for 10 minutes from receiption to my room, they are at two different places.
The location is great. You can find many restaurants close to the b&b open at night. It's walking distance from the main points and there's also a metro station (Cavour) 3 min walk. The room is clean and comfortable.
There was wifi only in the reception, that was in another building. Another thing is that they had only one key for the room: this was a little bit stressful because we couldn't go out to different places.
The location is good no more than 20 min walk to pantheon, bars and restaurants nearby, 5 mins to coliseum
After electricity tripped out we were very rudely accused of having used too much electricity?! One hair dryer and a light, wouldn't say that's excessive?! Receptionist who greeted us very pleasant however the rest if the staff let her and the hotel down. Aircon is essential in romes summer heat, it was so noisy it couldn't be used (sounded like a tractor strapped to the wall!!!) after complaining the attendant cane to the room who unplugged it and hit it a couple of times before stating that's all that could be done. After more arguments the next day we were given a 30% discount however we still believe there are far better hotels for a similar price in rome. Not horrendous but won't be back.
Great Location! nice, friendly and helpful reception, very good value for money. the best location in Rome, amazing street. The room is cozy, spacious and with an air conditioning. We'll definitely come back and recommend this B&B to all our friends even though the hot water issue.
No wifi in the room, only in the reception. there isn't always hot water, and when there is- it runs out very quickly. you must ask for shampoo.
wifi doesn't work well
The standard of the room was not very good. I ask for room but i get copletly difrent room. The pictures are completly difrent then reality!!
Good place to stay if you would Like to go in Vatican or just shopping.
The bed was very comfortable, and room was clean. Cleaning lady came each day, that was so great! Location is perfect, we were close to everything, didn't use any kind of transportation, we even went to Vatican by foot! The street where IL Covo is located is so Italian and cute.We didn't mind going few meters away for a breakfast.
Breakfast was poor...I would let people to choose more! Before we went there, it said: Free wifi. They sholud be honest and say: wifi available only at the reception, NOT in rooms, that's all!
The room was very spacious and very nice. Breakfast was at a local restaurant just down the block.
It was a little far from the train station and not real easy to find.
It's in the center but not crowded by tourists so you still get the feel of the real Rome. Area surrounded by bars and good restaurants. Metro and bus stops are just a small walk away. Shower was very powerful and after the heat of the day it was a lovely treat.
Our first room had an ac which sounded like a jack hammer so we couldn't sleep at all at night. Room was changed after 2 nights after asking if something could be done to fix the ac. Seeing that it was still noisy my husband was firm in asking for the room to be changed. We expected for action to be taken with immediate effect and not spending 2 sleepless nights!
Great location. Close to metro. Close to Colloseum. Lot's of nice cafe's around. Calm street with very spetial atmosphere on it. Room is clean. Airconditioner working good.
No elevator - so we need to take heavy suitcases on the 4th floor.
It was central to most activities. The place was clean, tidy and everything we needed.
Location was great, really good value for money.
The room could have been kept a little better, some of the plaster was chopped off the wall etc.
Staff - Very welcoming, beautiful people, eager to assist you anytime Location - I used metro only two times for my visits, the majority of the sights can be visited by foot from this location Cleanliness - Very clean room
Breakfast - Rather poor breakfast (cheap juice, cheap jam, ok croissant, ok coffee/ tea) Gloomy Room - the ground room at Via Cimarra with only a small window is quite dark.
