the room is very pretty and clean.

the hotel charge me £0.08 from my card with no reason which resulted in £1 oversea transact from the bank. the breakfast is not enough to eat. no lift.

Excellent location , very reasonably priced

Excellent location quite central. Metro station "Cavour" at walking distance. Very nice b&b in an ancient building (note that there is no elevator) that was renovated with taste. Room was very comfy & clean. Breakfast is served from 8 to 9.30 in a bar/restaurant on a square nearby with a nice terrace.

Seeing the low temperatures of March 13, the room was too cold. Same for the shower, water was too cold.

We liked the hotel as expected exactly what it is Booking.com (reports of other people)

all was fine

Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the Colosseum, other major tourist attractions can be reached on foot within 10-15 minutes. Friendly and helpful staff, the room was very clean with all necessary amenities. Breakfast is served in a nearby coffee bar, a nice way of being introduced to Italian lifestyle. Lots of shops, restaurants, and other local attractions on the doorstep make the area very attractive for tourists. We stayed 6 nights at Il Covo and would certainly recommend it to other travellers.

The room was in the 4th floor with no elevator making it difficult to go to the room.

The stairs to the room were very small and cramped

We had to climb with our luggages four floors of stairs without help from the hotel! The shower drain, the fridge and the tv remote control did not work.

Staff was friendly and spoke fluent English. The breakfast located just down the street provided additional insight into the Italian experience. A bit expensive for the facilities but it was clean and just what we needed for our holiday in Rome. Perfectly located for our trip. We would stay there again.

Good value for money

The room was charming and looked like taken from a theatre play! Breakfast on a lovely piazza with a fountain, many good restaurants nearby (the pizzeria on the corner down the road is fabulous!).

We didn't stay in Il Covo in the end, because it was some kind of buildingwork ongoing but we got a room next to it. That room was cozy, clean, and well equipped located very close to the Colosseum.

Street can be extremly noisy. Toalett needs to be flushed twice. Minimum...

Comfortable, clean, convenient and very friendly staff, to be applauded.

The staff was very friendly and nice. They answered all our questions and advised how to get around town. Wonderfull experience!!!

There are only 2 things that i did not like - the mattress and the climb to the 4th floor.

our rooms were at the fourth floor (without elevator). climbing up three or four times a day, sometimes with weights as suitcase, is not a good idea

Location is perfect just not more then 10 minutes walk from Coliseum. The room was clean but tiny but enough for spending night.

Great proximity to the main sites including the Colosseum (just down the road) and situated in a thriving, artsy hub of town with lots of locals and few tourists.

Didn't stay inside the main building - instead, we had to traverse more than 100 steps to the third floor of a neighbouring building.

The location and the price

Very friendly and helpful staff and excellent location near the main station and important tourist sites. Comfortable, clean room and good value for money.

It was quite noisy with people coming in and out of the building and not sure why 8p was taken out of my account before arrival??
