Ispra doesn't have much of anything going on. Lakeside is not too exciting. Nothing much in the tiny town. Highlight was the pizzeria, and even then we kept getting told off for getting there too late. Not a great hub to get to other areas because you have to traverse some super narrow roads to get to Laveno or to the west side of the lake. If I had it to do again, I would stay in Cannobio or Sestra.

Reasonable price for hotel.
Reasonable price for hotel. Took some work/luck to find a good restaurant. Proximity to Maalpensa airport was a big plus. Lake views less impressive than Stresa.
Stresa is a bigger, more picturesque town, but much pricer hotels.

Ispra is a lovely town, with a nice little beach, but there...
Ispra is a lovely town, with a nice little beach, but there could be more cafes and restaurants, especially in the beach area. While there were plenty of places, they were all very spread out around the town. Also in August, many of the restaurants were shut.
Beautiful romantic villa located just outside the village Ispra and very near the lake and ‘beach’. The rooms were spotless clean and beautifully decorated. The owner is a very kind Italian woman who really takes good care of her guests. Breakfast was ok but not very special: you have to like the sweet Italian breakfast (brioche, marmalade, fruits and yoghurt), no gluten-free options.
I will always remember the kindness of the hosts who was always available, made us feel comfortable, offered all the help they could and was overall a great representation of local guest service. Why stay in a hotel when you can stay in an entire apartment with two bedrooms, close to the lake? a fantastic offer.
Marino, Gisella and Luca thank you for everything we will be back !
Beautiful location, not far from Ispra centre and the lake access. Very comfortable and big room. I got breakfast in bed with delicious homemade strudel. Thanks! Very flexible with check-in and out hours. I had to work during my stay and since the wifi connection wasn’t good in the room, I was able to use the office downstairs. many thanks for that!!
Nice bed and breakfast in Ispra. The accommodation is simple and clean. There you have a kettle to prepare a tea or a coffee machine for a coffee. At the ground floor one can enjoy the nice breakfast offered at the cafeteria. However, I chose a typical Italian breakfast. The ratio quality/price is good.
I had a great time at B&B del Lago. The location is perfect: very close to the lake and to the center of Ispra, but also close to the supermarket. The bedroom and bathroom are bigger than I expected, and have everything you need for a nice stay. The AC was well appreciated.
I had a nice view of the lake from my room. The room was clean and tidy, though the layout was a bit old.
The hotel serves breakfast for free and paid dinner in the evening.
In overall, it was a pleasant stay.
The place is located brilliantly, in the heart of Ispra but also very close to the lake. The apartment was very clean, and just in general quite pretty. The support from the host was fenomenal.
beautiful view, direct on lake, very friendly staff, free public parking available near to the hotel. We recommend this hotel.....it was good value for the money we paid.
