The staff where amazing... Reception staff especially. The old villa so charming and atmospheric. The breakfast the garden the view . Had a lovely time.

More umbrellas needed around the pool ... The restaurant food was lovely but a bit old fashioned.

I loved this hotel. The grounds are beautiful as is the panorama. Our room was large and very tastefully furnished. There is a lot of common space--terraces and outdoor dining if the weather is good, a beautiful dining room, a gazebo for drinks and tea, etc. A marvelous daily breakfast is included. All in all, a real delight

Staff was lackadaisical. Dinner at the famous restaurant was quite disappointing.

exceptional hospitality, nothing over the top, all understated, but as good as any relays and chateau we have stayed in; beautiful , peaceful setting

Gorgeous setting, helpful staff, fab. spa, and beautifully decorated. Nice choice between main bldg and more private separate "house."

In my opinion entree portions much too small for the high prices. More appropriate as "appetizer plates." Menu prices generally inflated, despite excellent quality and nice presentation. The "free" dessert sampling tray presented after one has ordered one's dessert was not a welcome surprise. Reception office could use another more visible sign out in front. Lock on our room door difficult to operate--very old!

Good location, beautiful grounds, wonderful breakfast

Lighting definitely not sufficient in bedroom or bathroom; bed linens/pillows not what I would have expected in an upper end property; no room in bathroom for toiletries, personal care items. Staff was inattentive --- preoccupied with an up-coming wedding.

The restaurant is amazing. Order your breakfast and have it while overlooking the tuscan landscape !!! Can not beat it.

The hotel is wonderful, the view is beautiful, very calm and perfect to relax with a nice spa area that is included at the price. the restaurant is very good, but expensive to eat everyday. the room is big and very comfortable bed with a good bathroom.

Unfortunately the hotel has one dining option (which is Michelin rated) and while the restaurant is fabulous it is expensive, and not an option for everyday use. The hotel is a bit far from Cortona, roughly 15 minutes by car, and it is a little complicated to go at night if you would like to have a few wines etc. It would be nice if the hotel provided a transfer. There is corkage even if you are drinking the wine in common areas.

Helpful staff, beautiful views, good wine (their own) breakfast buffet, swimming pool.

    1. Difficult/dangerous to get in and out of shower; 2. Dinner option limited to high-priced "gourmet" food, that was somewhat disappointing; 3. one-lane access road for considerable distance limits leaving property at night; spa could have been cleaner

Il Falconiere is beautiful. The grounds are beautifully gardened. The spa is lovely. The rooms are comfortable and charming. The location is excellent. It is restful, too. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was memorable.

The valet who was loading the car left my suitcase in the hallway (my son overlooked it too). The hotel called immediately but could not find a shipper to get it to our next destination in less than two or three days, so we had it sent to the following destination, Rome. This was a real inconvenience.
