You can hear everything including other guests going in and out of their rooms (noisy room and main entrance door locks), bad smell entering the building from the street.
Alk was very nice, room was comfortable. Private bathroom was very clean.

The noise from the street woke me up every night. We were warned that the wifi wouldn't go through the walls, which it didn't, but the noise from neighbouring rooms did!
Loved the location, the owner was really friendly and the communal areas were cozy!

Mattress quite stiff, wifi not working very well everywhere (the walls must be very thick since it's an old building), bad stink in the staircase.
Very central, perfect location just behind Piazza della Signoria; toilet not in the room however was private and just next door, very clean.

Being in the center of town, the road outside was quite loud, especially early in the morning. We couldn't pick up the wifi in our room so had to go to the living area, but this wasn't such an issue for us.
This guest house is in an excellent location in the very center of Florence. The landlady was extremely helpful and flexible and gave us loads of good tips for restaurants. There is a kitchen with use of a fridge. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay!

Not a problem at all for us but may be for some: due to thickness of ancient building walls, best wifi reception was in communal lounge.
We arrived earlier than planned but that was no problem for il gattopardo, friendly, fabulous central location, clean, roomy, access to equipped kitchen, wifi.

Everything fell short of our expectations. It looked so charming in the photos but when we arrived, we had an ikea bed with a fluorescent comforter. The bed squeaked with the slightest movement. It was incredibly sparse - none of the antique-looking furniture like we saw in the photos. And the 4 EUR breakfast taken at a nearby cafe wasn't worth it. You can get a croissant and coffee for less.
The location was fantastic, just steps away from the Duomo.

Wifi signal could have been stronger.
We booked at the last minute and our host was very accommodating. She gave us fantastic and detailed information about places to eat that worked out really well for us. Room was spacious, beautiful decor and very comfortable. Thanks!

Not really an issue for us but it was very warm and due to it being an old building they can not for aircon so we just had a fan. It was a quiet street but if you did have the windows open it was a bit noisy so had to make do with the fan.
Superb location, right by everything you needed and literally 2 minutes walk from the Duomo. Lovely rooms in a lovely old building with a shared kitchen to use if you wish. Bathroom was clean and rooms cleaned everyday of stay too. Shared bathroom but with only 1 or 2 other rooms so not a problem. Our fan broke on night 3 and the owner came and sorted us another one ASAP which was brilliant.

The pillows were very low and uncomfortable
You could not get a better location and loved the authentic history of the building. Exactly where you would want to base yourself to explore historic Florence

Il Gattopardo is in a terrific, central spot. The rooms are lovely and the wifi is reliable. The communal kitchen was very handy too. The SMN train station is also in walking distance.

no wify in rooms but can't be helped because of stone building, no breakfast either, but the inn owner gaves us coupons to Brown Sugar for free coffee and croissant
the location, comfortable and clean room

The location was really convenient - it was literally right beside the Old Palace and the Gucci Museum. The staff were extremely friendly and gave us instructions on getting to local gelaterias and restaurants. The room and the bathroom were both really clean.

Bookings has the listing as "en suite" bathroom for which we paid. Actually only one of the two rooms is "en suite", the other requires you to walk across a foyer to a keyed bathroom for your sole use. Listing should be corrected or price adjusted.
Akimini (?) was very pleasant and helpful. You have a sense that she wants you to have a good stay, like the old innkeepers of B&B's. We stayed for a day enroute to a villa in Tuscany with a Sat check-in. Location of B&B is great. We are an older couple so the low bed and only one chair was a problem but we were rarely in the room. It's a bargin. They helped me with garage for my car which is a big issue in Florence (27 Euros/day)

Excellent location, lovely environment, supportive staff - perfect

A lot of noise at night, maybe because its location is in the central city...
Great location, great staff

The machine had broken, and it paid and was troubled only by cash by the ability not to do.
Location is so good.Near Galleria degli Uffizi and Basilica di Santa Croce. There is neither television nor a refrigerator in the room. If you only sleep, it is right just.
