Fabulous,

“ We had a lovely, two floor apartment for the price of a double room. The garden outside of our room was a treat. The manager gave us a tour of his historic family home. In fact, when there was no taxi at the train station, the manager picked us up in his car. The hotel is located in the heart of Noto, ”

I really liked the garden and the room. It is a historical mansion but the rooms have been refurbished and are very new.

The location was great. The staff was very helpful. Surprisingly, it had one of the better breakfasts of the 8 places I stayed at on this trip. Most of which were full hotels.

A very tranquil oasis in a fairly traffic- busy street. The location was extremely convenient to the town centre and the 'garden' rooms were protected from any traffic noise. Like other reviewers, we were collected from the train station by 'John' who falls over himself to be helpful. The property had been a palazzo then a museum and now a b + b run by 'John'. The dining room was quite palatial and the breakfast were good. A thorough delight to be staying in Noto. We are very happy to say that there were no criticisms at all that should be highlighted.

The location is excellent for visiting Noto. We have been efficiently advised by John, the owner of the palazzo, who also showed us his wonderful house. The breakfast is abundant in very tasty local food and John is present in the breakfast room to make sure that everybody is satisfied with the drink and food. He also made his best to help us to park the car right in front of his house. The guest rooms are nice, clean and pleasant, located in a wonderful lemon tree garden. Nothing to dislike.

On arrival, the drab looks of the street, exterior and surrounding houses hide a wonderful oasis that lie behind the walls. The layout of the interior was very well done and the rooms (some with mini kitchens) were very good and very clean - certainly the best we have stayed in. In addition to the wall aircon/heating unit, there was a separate heater to cope with the high ceiling rooms in winter. The breakfast was sumptuous with a good variety - having varieties of both sweet and savoury. The tour of the lived in baroque house given by the owner after the breakfast is the pièce de résistance. The owner is also very helpful and knowledgeable of the city and locality. Nothing to dislike. The only thing I could think of is having a few wall coat hangers although there is ample wardrobe space. Getting a parking space on the street outside (no restrictions apart from some for disabled and entrances) at certain times of the day is tricky, so best to time arrivals outside of busy periods in the city E.G. between 1-3 pm and after 8pm

The hotel manager, John, was extremely helpful and went out of his way to please. The hotel is situated right in the heart of lower Noto, which gave you good access to the city, within easy walking distance. This is a good 'hotel' to base yourself from, if you have access to a hire car and want to go exploring Sicily. It's not really the place to stay for any length of time if you have no transport, as there is not an awful lot to do in Noto once you have seen all 47 churches! The hotel rooms were extremely clean and tidy and maintained to a high standard by the cleaners every day. Breakfast was continental style, with plenty of choice, but if you had any special requests, John would try to accommodate. The double room which I stayed in had basic, but good cooking facilities, so good that I was able to cook a full 3-course Christmas meal using them!! There was also a fridge/freezer in each room too, which was great for keeping any food stuffs and drinks cool. Each room also had SKY TV, which had a wide range of channels. Most of the 'English' shows, whilst dubbed in to Italian, we found we could select the original English sound track, so we had some entertainment in the evenings. The garden outside the rooms was well kept and lovely for eating and drinking al-fresco.There was wireless Internet connectivity, but you had to go and stand in the reception area to pick up the signal, which was a little disappointing, however, John did give me access to it for FREE for the 2 weeks I was there. On the whole this was a lovely gem of a 'hotel' (more like a traditional UK Bed & Breakfast than hotel), which served our needs well, as a base for us to go and discover Sicily using a hire car. There wasn't anything I didn't like about this hotel. These are just a couple of minor things which would be nice to improve the stay: An electric kettle in the room. I was able to use the small hob in my room to heat water for cups of tea, etc. but it would have been easier to have a kettle. It would be good if the Wifi range could be extended to reach the rooms. It would be nice to be able to surf the Internet from the luxury of your room rather than having to go and loiter around reception to do it.

We stayed for two nights at il Giardino del Barocco,Warmly welcomed after parking our small car just down the road thanks to GPS ... we had a very clean and spacious studio type room in the garden it had a small kitchen area with mic oven hob and sink and eating area so if you eat loads like us at Ducezio at lunchtime you can snack in the evening on your own food theres a small but prefectly stocked mini maket right opposite and the mini bar prices are the same as mini market! excellent . Possibly the best breakfast spread I`ve eaten in Italy served in a wonderful room part of the plazzo just like on the classic film set, il Gattopardo. Giovanni explain local sights and the Tratoria Ducezio a 5 min walk around corner was great we ate there 3 times wonderful the pizza in the eve is Huge>> We walked all around very safe and nice place to be in the evening the lights change the look its a wonderful small town. Drove to see the mosics about a 10 easy drive

The rooms are adequate and very clean, although far from luxurious - but you have to remember that you are staying in a baroque home that has been converted. The service of the owner is faultless -he even called me to confirm the reservation. The breakfast was exceptional with home made cakes / fruit, fresh juices and the selection was by far the most outstanding in all our travels around Sicily. We were even given a tour by the owner of the Baroque home. Delightful!

Very central position, charming and helpful owner - and a garden where we had a picnic lunch the first day we arrived! Good italian breakfast provided by friendly staff. Rooms in the vaults under the building are OK, but being on the pavement and open to public view need to be shuttered at all times. Air conditioning kept the room fresh and cool but it was like living in a cave. But they were very clean and totally functional. Try and book a room which opens out onto the garden or internal terrace.

Location, two minute walk to the centre. B&B is located in the old, historic building that used to be a museum. 250 years old and in the hands of the same family for over 100 years. You will get a tour of the place, it is amazing. Breakfast is served in one of the original rooms. Giovanni goes out of his way to keep you happy, absolutely nothing is a problem. Accommodation rooms are located around the courtyard and below the apartment on the street level. Rooms at the street level are big but you hear the noise despite double glazing. Courtyard rooms are smaller but more atmospheric with direct access to the garden and breakfast room. The only place on our 3 week holiday in Sicily where Internet wasn't free. It was rather slow as well to rub it in.

We was in this B&B this september and was really perfect experience. Rooms are big and nice, with small kitchen and have his own entrance to the garden. In the garden was perfect breakfast with ricotta, many cakes, fresh orange juice and many other perfect things. Rest of the historical house make the owner to museum and was experience too. The location is also perfect. 5 minutes to every "must-see" monuments of Noto. We was very very very satisfied. Thank you Giovanni.

Owner Giovanni takes a genuine interest in his guests, provides guides and recommendations to Notto - even showed us around his beautiful home which used to be a museum. Breakfast in the garden surrounded by orange and lemon trees. Comfy room with vaulted stone ceiling was really unusual and memorable. Very central location to the city centre.

Fantastic room with our own kitchen as well as bathroom. Everything was clean and modern. We had a beautiful breakfast in the garden under the lemon and lime trees, and then a tour of the house, which used to be a museum, but is now only open to hotel guests. Very well situated with the centre of Noto only two minutes walk away. No problem parking on the street. We'd love to go back!

John was extremely helpful. The rooms are lovely. If you can, get a room off the garden. Breakfast was great. John was on hand every breakfast to answer questions. Very very good. Happy to recommend. Wifi limited to a courtyard not in rooms. Beds on the firm side.

Excellent accomodation in old palace, very close to city center. In all ways very positive. Breakfast very good. Owner very helpfull. Ask for accomodation at the inner garden as rooms at the street might be disappointing. Parking may cost some time, but was always possible.

The Hôtel has a privilege place in Noto, very close to the main monuments of the city. The hotel is an ancient big house with decoration worthy of a Palace. Our Host was very serviable and the quality breakfast taken in the lounge was a great moment.
