Good location for city. Very helpful staff.
Room too hot even with air conditioning in October - wouldn't like to stay in high summer.
No stairs to climb Nice garden terrace Very pleasant welcome Very clean Mosquito nets
Had to leave windows open since no airconditioning Noisy location for sleeping
This little hotel is situated very close to the center of Catania. Yet it is located in a quite place which is very important when you stay in such a busy city. The staff is extremely accomodating and helpful. Bars and restaurants with gread food are just round the corner.
Great location within easy walking distance to sights in the historical section of Catania. Pleasant and welcoming staff. Large comfortable room with en suite bath. Good security.
Garden area was enjoyable, but dried out and not as attractive as pictured. Perhaps due to the fact that my visit was in September vs. the spring.
Clean, comfortable rooms. Welcoming owner and ambience. Pleasing and quirky style of breakfast room/entrance. Good breakfast choices. Nice little garden.
The surrounding streets were not so good. Watch out for the biting insects in the garden.
Proximity to rail and airport bus. Wifi free and good reception. Comfortable room in heritage style with adequate en suite.
Dismal and seedy location. Communal breakfast table very cramped and uncomfortable, with insufficient seating for number of residents. Towels not refreshed during 4 night stay and floor not seemingly cleaned each day.
Whilst the location is convenient for both Bus and Train stations, actual surrounding area a little seedy. We felt a little nervous when returning from town when dark.
Nice rooms a very nice garden and chairs Just outside. Breakfast room making for a relaxing place to chill out And make plans for the days sightseeing
Location, 10 minutes to downtown. Privacy and security. Facilities. Cleanliness. Staff unobtrusive but helpful. Close to rail and bus services.
The local area....a little shabby, but the whole of Catania is heavily littered and graffitied. Of course this has nothing to do with this lovely B&B.
The guest house is well situated, not far from the station. Inside the gates, it is perfect. High-ceiling room on the groung floor, comfortable, with great attention to details (facilities, decorations, etc). We felt like home.
There are three gates to open before entering the house, which is good. Outside, the neighbourhood is poor and dirty. Our room was on the groundfloor opening to the garden, but adjoining the entrance room where they serve breakfast. So, the noise in the morning woke us up at 7:00. (which was not our intention)
Francesca was the most friendly and helpful person. She made excellent suggestions and went out of her way to help us recover our lost luggage. The hotel lies between the bus station and the downtown Duomo area.
Newly furnished, modern and classy combination!
B&B is quite well located, though not exactly in downtown it's pretty near. It is located in a beautiful 19th century palace named Palazzo Fischetti. Our room was number 3, on the ground floor, quite large, with the view on the garden and with everything you need, as well the bathroom. There is a great openable door with direct access to the garden. Only pay attention to be dressed otherwise people in the garden can see you. The housekeeper is very nice and kind and can also give you information about where to go or what to visit. Breakfast with cereals, fresh bread, yogurts, fruit, ham, boiled eggs, etc. The owner on our arrival was also very gentle and she gave us all the information we needed.
My only complaint is about bathroom products: only soap and 2 small bottles of shower gel for a 2 people 3 nights stay, no hair conditioner or even shampoo.
near central train station
not easy to get in to building area did not seem very safe or tourist friendly
The B&B had a lovely garden and very close to station. Staff very kind and helpful - allowed us to store luggage.
Big room, lovely garden, very friendly and warmhearted stuff, really enjoyed the stay! Highly recommend!
Everything! Location, the room, the staff. It was all lovely.
The air conditioning was very weak, and those July nights in Catania are wickedly hot!
Friendly + helpful check-in staff, pretty garden, decent location (though Catania is not the loveliest city)
Unpleasant check-out staff; free public parking nearby is not secure and recent car-thefts occurred; an ETA is required for this B&B - should be highlighted when booking.
Relaxed Good breakfasts and enjoyed meeting other guests Big room, nicely decorated Quiet and pleasant garden Good position between centre and train/bus station for onward travel
Nothing I can think of
Not really anything
The massive am out of getto and cowbell
Poor location in seedy part of town. Felt like you had to be in prison because of the needed security. Aircon totally ineffective. Breakfast appalling and even the breakfast rolls were stale
Beautiful classical building with wonderful & up to date interior. WONDERFUL! Staff was friendly & helpful.
Location is convenient, but actual B&B a little hard to find amid a large building.
The calm of the building with its terrace.
Everything is perfect.
Lovely old house set in a garden. Although in a slightly rundown area there are secure gates and if you take the route down Crispi Street you feel safe. Very comfortable room and nice breakfast. Catania has some interesting old squares and buildings. You can catch a little train in the Duomo Square which does a tour of 35 minutes round most of the sights.
Very hard to find by car because so many streets are one way. Recommend a map showing one way streets or googling this information beforehand. We drove round for a long time before finding the way.
Quiet and clean room
The check out at 10:00 sounds too military for a holiday. The owner claimed she didn t receive our claim for a later check out through booking.com. The location is in the center of city ok, but one has to go through an area where there are are lots of prostitutes on the street, if you head Piazza Duomo after the evening. (I felt a little discomfort with my gf)
