The host was very helpful. He Recommended one tour when we asked him and it proved to Be an excellent one. Location Was excellent for train travel and eating locations.

A little more variety in the breakfast would have been appreciated as we stayed a number of days.

Great staff, very helpful in giving advice re Florence. B&B is very clean and well mantained. Recommended.

bathroom bit too small

Convenient to central train station, fairly easy to find, and easy walk to central city sights, easier to walk than to use public transit. Our room faced a side courtyard not the street providing a quieter rooms. The one balcony off the small breakfast room was a nice place to enjoy breakfast, but get to breakfast early. Nice continental breakfast with good, made to order coffee.

This b&b was a basic room, not quite like the web photos would suggest, much older in fit and finish, supposed to be contemporary but that was not achieved. Furnishings sparse but for short stay adequate. Bed very firm to hard, not for someone with back or hip issues. The bath room was very small, not even enough room to front the sink to shave of wash one's face. The shower was small, hard to wash without hitting the shower control to off. Limited towels, no glasses, no staff after about 10:30 am, which is check out time. Need something at night, too bad.

nothing could not wait to leave the place, noisy, most uncomfortable room squeeky bed, tiny room, tiny shower, fan is unsafe feel like it will fall off the roof at any time, they really need to look at this for health and safety.

What my boyfriend and I liked most was the modern look of the B&B (compared to others in Florence) and the cleanliness. Matteo, at the front desk, was also very friendly and helpful. He served us great coffee in the morning and a fair selection of breakfast options. Our room was cleaned daily- which we appreciated. It was also a short walk to the train station, which was ideal for our day trips around Tuscany. It is a great value for the price we paid.

The only thing we didn't like was the location. Although we knew when booking that we would be closer to the train station.. we would have much rather preferred staying in the heart of Florence.

Bathroom too small, literally 3 feet wide and 9 feet long. Shower claustrophobic. The bedroom was quite large and more room could have been given up to the bathroom.

Great, Friendly staff. Felt very comfortable. Rooms were cleaned everyday and were who ever did the cleaning did it thoroughly. They cleaned under the bed even! Rooms are small but adequate. Just make sure you check your email for the code to get in, as staff are not there most of the time. Easy to find. Close to everything. Double glazed windows helped reduce the sound of traffic alot but still not soundproof, you can hear people exit and enter. Breakfast was fine, just an average coffee. Overall i loved this place and would stay again and recommend it.

It was clean and modern with breakfast provided in a small dining area. Room was airconditioned; bed was comfortable. Location is close to the main railway station and good restaurants can be found in a 5-10 minute walking radius.

Room was on the cramped side, but certainly not as small as others we've encountered. Shower stall was very cramped and would not suit someone needing room to move. Breakfast options are minimal and became tiresome after a few mornings.

The room was big.

Super skinny washroom, hardly any room to turn around. Shower stall also starting to get mouldy. The location was a bit further away than expected and in an area where lots of shops have closed down. However, since the b&b was located on a main road with lots of buses and cars passing by, it felt safer. There was also no room to lay out your items as there was only one small table in the room besides the bed and closet.

Only 3 min. Walking from Santa Maria Novella Train Station, the b&b has a good service, with a clean room and a nice breakfast. Matteo is kindly and helpful giving all the informations we needed. The b&b has a stand where you can get city and region maps and other useful brochures.

The hotel is an easy walk from the station- about 5-10 mins, which was useful. It is very basic but was clean, and we liked the minimalist style. The shower was hot and powerful, the bed comfy enough, the blind blocked out the daylight and it wasn't too noisy. We never switched on the air conditioning as we just used the ceiling fan, so I don't know if this worked. The minimalist design extends to the service so the owner and cleaner are only there from 8-12ish for breakfast and room cleaning. The owner was nice and helpful, but if you need anything outside these hours then you can't ask! Breakfast is basic, as you would expect, but adequate. Don't forget you need the code to get in, which will be emailed to you.

It is about 10 minutes to walk to edge of the centre of town, although you can get a bus. I'm not sure if you could get something more central for the money, I thought this place was one of the cheapest I saw and it seemed reasonable value.

The staff is perfect. The hotel itself is really nice and bright. Breakfast is good: great choice of teas (that is really rare for Italy), good ham and cheese, good yogurts. They have really nice balcony.

Location is ok, but not perfect. It´s 20 minutes walking from city center and 10 minutes walking from the railway station. Small shower cabins and no shelves in the shower. If you come at night, please inform the staff, that you need remote-control from air-conditioner, cause otherwise you won't be able to use air-conditioner in your room.

I arrived at Sante Maria Novella Station at 11pm, and that's why i chose IL GIGLIO ROSSO not really far from the station. But It was rainy night and little bit hard to find 25 on the street. Suggest arriving during day time. Actually a lady working 'CIAO hostel' helped me to call to a receptionist and he was also very kind. Room was clean and cozy especially satisfied with bath. Thanks!

Don't get there at rainy, late night. Street women working at night look weird...

The room was fun, clean and accommodating. But the highlight of our stay was the staff. We were greeted with coffee, maps with insider destinations and fresh pastries for breakfast!

La stanza è pulita e ben tenuta. L'ambiente è tranquillo e vicino alla stazione e al centro. Ho molto apprezzato che ci fosse il parquet e non quelle schifosissime moquette che spesso si trovano negli hotel.

Non essendoci sempre il personale in sede, sarebbe buono mettere almeno un distributore automatico per bevande/snack. Il più vicino si trova a 50/100mt dal B&B.

1.我住的是藍色背景牆那一間房間,浴室洗手台會漏水,會讓房間非常潮濕 2.房間不會每天整理,衛生紙要要求才會補充 3.有人在的時間只有早餐時間8:00~10:00,早餐時間8點才開始,對於想要早一點出門的房客就無法使用早餐,較不方便 4.最後一天住宿暖氣竟然關閉了,服務有些落差 5.因為櫃台不是24小時的,所以有問題只能靠自己了
