“ Very friendly family run hotel in the middle of one of the most beautifull places in Italy. Not very touristy. Rooms are nice and with huge balconies facing the main square. Restaurant is superb. We loved our stay at this gem and will definitely come back. The hotel is in every way "authentic Italian" in all the good ways. ”

Il Grappolo D'Oro is located in Piazza Umberto I, the main square in Monforte D'Alba. This family-run hotel has been welcoming guests since 1952 and features a bar with tables and chairs in the piazza. Rooms and apartments have a traditional design with tiled floors and wooden furniture. Some have wood-beamed ceilings. They all feature free Wi-Fi, a TV and private bathroom. A continental breakfast is served each morning. The restaurant is open at lunch and dinner and offers Piedmont specialities and homemade pastas and cakes. Hotel Il Grappolo D'Oro is a 10-minute walk from the Langhe hills. Monforte D'Alba is part of the Barolo wine area and there are many wineries and vineyards to visit in the surroundings. Centrally located for all amenities. Spacious, well appointed rooms. Helpful staff. An authentic Italian family well run hotel. Nothing, we loved our stay here.

Very friendly family run hotel in the middle of one of the most beautifull places in Italy. Not very touristy. Rooms are nice and with huge balconies facing the main square. Restaurant is superb. We loved our stay at this gem and will definitely come back. The hotel is in every way "authentic Italian" in all the good ways. Well, the elevator is small, and some of the staff can't speak English fluently...but that's nothing you can't manage by just using a bit of gestures (they are super friendly)

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel during the past three years. It is a marvelous hotel for touring the region. Barolo and Alba are within less than a half hour distance The restaurant serves marvelous Italian meals. The pasta dishes are particularly great, since we come from the United States and pasta like this is hard to find. A room with a balcony is an extra benefit, sent you can watch all the action in the square.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and the food in the restaurant were great. Right in the center of Monforte, you wouldn't find a better spot. Every room has a large balcony overlooking the main square, rooms are clean and comfortable.

Unkompliziertes Handling Wohnung groß und sauber Badezimmer sehr groß Fenster nur zur Straßenseite. Ganze Wohnung( Barbera)sehr dunkel. Badezimmer Dusche extrem klein und wenig Wasserdruck.

Le grand balcon de la chambre, avec vue sur la place et le bourg. Le restaurant de l'hôtel avec sa délicieuse cuisine. La situation géographique de l'hôtel, proche de Barolo, Dogliani, Alba et tous les autres petits villages viticoles. Le bruit venant de la place, du restaurant et de la rue qui traverse le village nous a un peu surpris. Mais une fois le restaurant fermé, le calme revient. Les gens qui n'aiment pas entendre sonner les cloches ne devraient pas dormir dans cet hôtel, entouré de deux clochers...

Sentral beliggenhet Støy fra biltrafikk. Men spesielt kirkeklokken som slo hele døgnet rett utenfor vinduet. Hadde bestilt leilighet, fikk hotellrom.

Fremragende familieejet hotel. Super rare og imødekommende og "Mama" laver selv maden, hvilket hun metre fantastisk godt. Prisniveau er i den billige ende, og der mulighed for både hotel værelser og hotel lejligheder. Dette sted kan klart anbefales. Da området er oppe I bjergene har de normalt ikke de høje temperaturer, derfor var der ikke Aircondition på være værelset. Det kunne vi godt have haft brugt da vi havde over 30 grader. Dette er til at leve med, men det var det eneste kritik jeg kunne finde frem.

Es war perfekt, traumhafte Lage, freundlichste und sprachgewandte, fesche Italiener halfen uns bei unseren Anliegen (Wein kaufen - wo? - Bob Dylan Konzert - wie komm ich hin und zurück? u.s.w.) Essen war sehr gut und nicht im Preis überzogen. Wir kommen wieder. Leider gab es kein Einzelzimmer, Preis für Einzelbenützung eines Zimmers inkl. Frühstück sollte günstiger sein.

La struttura è elegante.Collocata in una splendida zona del Piemonte.Cortesia e disponibilità del personale.Ottima la cucina del ristorante.Stanze ben arredate.Bagno spazioso.Letto confortevole.Sono dovuto partire prima dell'inizio del servizio colazione, lo staff è stato cortese servendomi cornetti freschi da bar e bevande fredde compreso caffè.Nelle vicinanze delle piazze a pochi metri e presente una piazzetta per parcheggiare la macchina gratis La stanza non aveva aria condizionata e frigo bar.
