You are basically on your own there. I don't know what "B & B" means in Italy, but this was unlike anyplace I have ever stayed in Italy or a B & B in the United States. There are several rooms in a part of a building in Ortygia, but there is no sense of being anyplace other than in your own little room in the middle of the city. There is almost never anyone at the reception so no one to recommend a restaurant or even to say "ciao", there is no security so the people walking in right behind you at midnight may or may not really belong there, and when something goes wrong with the facility, as it did for us, there is no one there to help. If I had wanted to just rent a random room in the town then this would be fine, but I expect something more when a place calls itself a B & B or a hotel or a pensione or whatever. I would not stay here again.
Great location, clean rooms, nice bathroom, friendly young women who worked there a few hours each.
