Very helpful stuff. Clean hotel and area. Nice small island.
Nothing to add
The room I got for me and my girlfriend was really nice. I had had one queen sized bed and then had two single beds as well. The room itself was big enough to fit 4 people. It had a balcony as well which gave us a nice view of our surroundings. We ate breakfast on the balcony as well which was a nice treat. Rooms were clean as well. The staff was very friendly, on our way getting there, my girlfriend had to call the front desk guy about 4 times because we couldn't find out way and he was really helpful. The hotel was a bit of distance from Venice but other than that, no complaints from our part!
The minor things that I didn't like was that the wifi was not really working in the room, it worked downstairs in the kitchen area. The was no central air conditioner in the room, just ceiling fan but we didn't mind and for some strange reason, there was no tv, at least in our room!!
-Loved the homey feeling. I washed a blouse and hung it on the line outside to dry. Loved the water pump too. -Loved the location and that it was not too far from other islands. Was quiet, peaceful and serene and away from the hustle and bustle. -Loved the waterbus ride and scenery going back and forth from the island. -Loved the walk from the waterbus to the hotel. -Loved the staff - very helpful and pleasant. -Breakfast was filling and plenty. Loved the local fruits. -My daughter and I felt safe as 2 women traveling by ourselves. Other females traveling alone, as well as married couples and families were there also.
#1 Poor wifi! #2 Ants and traps first night in bathroom but cleaned up the next day. #3 Dinner was a bit pricey.
quiet rural location. beautiful surroundings, access to Venice by public transport - vaporetto, friendly staff
nothing really; however it is advisable to bring a mosquito repellant!
The cleaning lady was very friendly.
The mold in the shower, room size, waiting almost two hours for a second course (meal), Mosquitos in the room when we arrived, not being picked up from the water bus stop despite ringing ahead three time's, having to pay nearly 60 euros for four plates of food, "private" bathroom on the other side of the building to our room, having people walk in on you when you're in your own "private bathroom"/ shower room with no windows!
It is far from central Venice so quiet and peaceful. Our room looked out onto farmland. They loaned us bikes for free and we went around half the island. Would have liked to have gone in at the beach but ran out of time. Plan to come and stay there again!!
Leave plenty of time to get there! There are fewer water buses running as it gets later and we missed the connection by only a few minutes when we thought we had left plenty of time in Venice. Well worth the boat ride, though and good views of Venice on the rides!!
The location on Sant' Erasmo, not too far from Venice but really nice, with nature and birds. The very good meals for diner. The hotel is very quiet, and the staff is nice.
The breakfast is a little bit poor.
clean room and very spacious room with balcony, wifi
the hotel was over an hour each way to venice centre, typical italian breakfast which consists of bread and biscuits and coffee, would stay closer to the centre next time
Very relaxing location, I would recommend taking half a day to see the island itself. The boat ride to venice is an easy 20 minutes, lets you see venice from the lagoon, and gets you away from the noise of venice night life if you wish. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms themselves were decent, but not luxury.
If you want to be right in the heart of venice, it will take you 45 minutes to an hour to get there each day, but the ride is nice and relaxing. The rooms are very simple, but are clean enough. We had a private room and bathroom, and the bathroom was small and sometimes a bit stuffy. The walls are pretty thin, and the door to the neighboring room didn't seem to lock so we just agreed not to open it. Not sure if it is always like this.
we really liked the lovely peacefull location . It was great to relax after a very hectic day in the city.
The food was not up to are liking ,with very little choice .
Attractive location if you don't mind the 30 min. crossing from Venice. Very good breakfast.
beautiful decorations of the hotel, very friendly staff, and facilities in the rooms. very quiet surroundings plus stunning view from the window (although don't like the position, a boat timetable beforehand is strongly recommended).
the position. very far from the main island of Venice. It took almost an hour for new comers like us to wait for a boat directing to the island (although it is more convenient with a timetable of the boat). the hotel is not difficult to find, but it doesn't seem to be a hotel around a place like that. We even thought we went onto a strange island with no man.
It is so far away from the st Marco. The wifi is very poor, our mobile-phones can't even join in the wifi. The worst thing is the staff there cheated us. They had said the last shuttle bus was 9:40, but after we walked to the bus station, we saw they drive the shuttle bus to send other customers. The price is not like what they guaranteed. The price that night is less than when we made a booking. Breakfast and dinner are poor. Only a few choices and dinner time is 20:00-22:00, very uncomfortable. There is no English menu and waitress isn't a good English speaker.
Far from the city
Price was not too high
We had lots of difficulties in finding the place. Roadsigns were missing, so we kept on wandering on the island until asked help from a local fellow. Also, the wifi was very poor.
Very good staff and breakfast. And they provide very good Italian food, pasta and spaggetti.
It's a little far away from the Venice Island though it is a quite beautiful island.
We loved the location, the quietness, the nature on the island and the relaxed atmosphere. We loved the balcony in the room and the view. The bicycles were a great addition to our stay and we appreciated the friendliness of all the staff.
Not having a kettle in the bedroom to make tea. Flashing red light on the smoke detector in the bedroom kept me awake.
Most of the staffs were very friendly and helpful. A great location in a calm and peaceful island just 30 minutes boat ride from the main Venice centers. Cycle ride with the kids around the island was pleasant. Has a farm house feeling. The dinner was tasty with homely touch.
We had a chance to visit quite a few places around the world, but never had to pay for a 4 year old when not asking for any extra facilities. More than the money, the particular staff explained the situation in a way that seemed like we were cheating and never been to places.
wonderful location, warm and helpful people, cozy
breakfast was quite poor, and the shower was a bot old and not so clean - but they did clean the room everyday!
We were positively surprised how the staff is friendly and make all guests feel like in their own home. We were specially amused by the restaurant team: the waiter is always smiling and playing around with guests (of course, always keeping respect) and the kitchen chef, Federico, even not speaking english, he does his best to communicate with guests and is always gifting awesome foods. Certainly, as we had the chance to tell them, Il Lato Azurro was the best place we stayed in our trip (which includes 8 european cities) and, for sure, the best food we EVER take outside home.
It is not a huge disappointment, but it would be really good if the rooms had tv screens and/or radios.
- The staff was really nice - The Location was charming! I loved the quitness of the island. - The breakfast is quite sober but good enough for us! - Keep in mind that you will have to travel with a vaperetto (waterbus) from venice to a seperate island! Trip will take 20 minutes and than you will have to walk for 15 minutes (or make an appointment with the hotel for a free shuttle service! The walk is nice so we didn't use this service). - Don't expect luxury, just a place to sleep!
- Our towels weren't changed while we stayed several nights. I would have liked. - We had nog wifi connection in the whole hotel. Not in our room and not in the breakfast area.
Large room, quiet place. The breakfast is very good.
The location is far from the town. There is only one waterbus to there hourly. If you miss the waterbus, then you have to wait one hour. Besides, the trandportation takes one hour to the Venice Train station and you need to take a change as well. Hence, you need to prepare more time, otherwise you may miss the train. No TV or hair dryer in the room.
Very helpful staff, island beautiful, green, quiet and tranquil. Room very nice and comfortable. Room opened out onto a nice bit of patio in the garden. Easy access to Venice just have to time your arrival at the vaporetti stop carefully, there's only one an hour!
The restaurant doesn't have a menu as such it depends on what the chef is cooking that day.
no air conditioner, lots of mosquitos.. Sleepless night in Venezia!! Not recommended during summer.
