The owners of ll Lato Azzurro were a lovely couple and we went under difficult times and they were very helpful
The staff were friendly, kind and thorough. The cuisine was rural Italian with a cosmopolitan flair. The rooms and bathroom were cleaned daily. We enjoyed the bikes available to tour leisurely around the island and we appreciated the free shuttle service to the dock.
Lovely place on a remote island with helpful and very friendly staff Excellent food in restaurant
Would have been nice to have a kettle and maybe a tv in room
warm welcome, helpful staff, quite location away from the city
not very soundproof, not so good wifi connection, rooms a bit expensive considering the location
Quiet place and helpful management; always ready to provide information. Also, we liked the provided shuttle from Capannone Waterbus Stop to the guest house.
Weak Wi-Fi connectivity in our room on the first night and none the following days. We had to go very close to the reception to browse.
Very quiet. Very dark (great curtains). Good Bed. Good WiFi in room. Nice people. Very good value for money. The boat service to the island runs all night and is included in the 24/48/7-day travel pass.
We liked Il Lato Azzurro very much. It was clean, big room with facilities. The staff were super helpful and the breakfast was very nice. The location is perfect as an environment, amazing green view, very quit and a wide garden with paces for children to play and run. Free bikes for each customer that can be used during the whole day. I think it is one of the best Hotels I have ever stayed in.
Nothing but if you are searching for a close hotel for the center so it will not be that hotel as it is located in a separate island "Sant Erasmo" that about 20 minutes by boat from the main land in Venice. The boats have a schedule so it may come every 30 minutes and it costs 7.50 Euros per the single way to or from Venice. You have also to walk about 9 minutes between the hotel and the boat port in the island. But actually that did not bother us as you can use a free bikes from the hotel to that point. And even walking through green fields were such amazing.
there is free bicycle to get to the boat station the stuff can take you to the station with minibus if you announce it earlier
the breakfast was poor and the location of the hotel is 25 minutes from venice by boat plus 10 minutes walking from the station to the hotel
The chef is amazing! I am vegetarian and he took me into the kitchen, and checked the ingredients with me before preparing the personalised dish. The bikes are free to take around the island and when the weather is great, the ride is wonderful.
The boat trips to and from Venice were costly
The staff were very, very nice and extremely helpful. The place is very quiet and has a relaxing feel. There are bikes for hire.
The island is connected with Venice by only one waterbus (vaporetti) service (number 13) which runs only once an hour.
Perfect stuff, perfect experience. The almighty superb chef, and driver. Location on the island.
Very helpful stuff. Clean hotel and area. Nice small island.
Nothing to add
The room I got for me and my girlfriend was really nice. I had had one queen sized bed and then had two single beds as well. The room itself was big enough to fit 4 people. It had a balcony as well which gave us a nice view of our surroundings. We ate breakfast on the balcony as well which was a nice treat. Rooms were clean as well. The staff was very friendly, on our way getting there, my girlfriend had to call the front desk guy about 4 times because we couldn't find out way and he was really helpful. The hotel was a bit of distance from Venice but other than that, no complaints from our part!
The minor things that I didn't like was that the wifi was not really working in the room, it worked downstairs in the kitchen area. The was no central air conditioner in the room, just ceiling fan but we didn't mind and for some strange reason, there was no tv, at least in our room!!
-Loved the homey feeling. I washed a blouse and hung it on the line outside to dry. Loved the water pump too. -Loved the location and that it was not too far from other islands. Was quiet, peaceful and serene and away from the hustle and bustle. -Loved the waterbus ride and scenery going back and forth from the island. -Loved the walk from the waterbus to the hotel. -Loved the staff - very helpful and pleasant. -Breakfast was filling and plenty. Loved the local fruits. -My daughter and I felt safe as 2 women traveling by ourselves. Other females traveling alone, as well as married couples and families were there also.
#1 Poor wifi! #2 Ants and traps first night in bathroom but cleaned up the next day. #3 Dinner was a bit pricey.
quiet rural location. beautiful surroundings, access to Venice by public transport - vaporetto, friendly staff
nothing really; however it is advisable to bring a mosquito repellant!
The cleaning lady was very friendly.
The mold in the shower, room size, waiting almost two hours for a second course (meal), Mosquitos in the room when we arrived, not being picked up from the water bus stop despite ringing ahead three time's, having to pay nearly 60 euros for four plates of food, "private" bathroom on the other side of the building to our room, having people walk in on you when you're in your own "private bathroom"/ shower room with no windows!
It is far from central Venice so quiet and peaceful. Our room looked out onto farmland. They loaned us bikes for free and we went around half the island. Would have liked to have gone in at the beach but ran out of time. Plan to come and stay there again!!
Leave plenty of time to get there! There are fewer water buses running as it gets later and we missed the connection by only a few minutes when we thought we had left plenty of time in Venice. Well worth the boat ride, though and good views of Venice on the rides!!
The location on Sant' Erasmo, not too far from Venice but really nice, with nature and birds. The very good meals for diner. The hotel is very quiet, and the staff is nice.
The breakfast is a little bit poor.
clean room and very spacious room with balcony, wifi
the hotel was over an hour each way to venice centre, typical italian breakfast which consists of bread and biscuits and coffee, would stay closer to the centre next time
Very relaxing location, I would recommend taking half a day to see the island itself. The boat ride to venice is an easy 20 minutes, lets you see venice from the lagoon, and gets you away from the noise of venice night life if you wish. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms themselves were decent, but not luxury.
If you want to be right in the heart of venice, it will take you 45 minutes to an hour to get there each day, but the ride is nice and relaxing. The rooms are very simple, but are clean enough. We had a private room and bathroom, and the bathroom was small and sometimes a bit stuffy. The walls are pretty thin, and the door to the neighboring room didn't seem to lock so we just agreed not to open it. Not sure if it is always like this.
we really liked the lovely peacefull location . It was great to relax after a very hectic day in the city.
The food was not up to are liking ,with very little choice .
Attractive location if you don't mind the 30 min. crossing from Venice. Very good breakfast.
beautiful decorations of the hotel, very friendly staff, and facilities in the rooms. very quiet surroundings plus stunning view from the window (although don't like the position, a boat timetable beforehand is strongly recommended).
the position. very far from the main island of Venice. It took almost an hour for new comers like us to wait for a boat directing to the island (although it is more convenient with a timetable of the boat). the hotel is not difficult to find, but it doesn't seem to be a hotel around a place like that. We even thought we went onto a strange island with no man.
It is so far away from the st Marco. The wifi is very poor, our mobile-phones can't even join in the wifi. The worst thing is the staff there cheated us. They had said the last shuttle bus was 9:40, but after we walked to the bus station, we saw they drive the shuttle bus to send other customers. The price is not like what they guaranteed. The price that night is less than when we made a booking. Breakfast and dinner are poor. Only a few choices and dinner time is 20:00-22:00, very uncomfortable. There is no English menu and waitress isn't a good English speaker.
