Quality and situation
The hotel was in a beautiful old building less than 10 minutes from the train station. The proprietor was very helpful with directions and let us leave our bags in the reception whilst our room was being made ready and then took our bags up for us. The bed was comfortable and there was nice antique furniture and a clean bathroom.
The bedroom was in the attic space and there is no lift. It was therefore hot and quite cramped. The proprietor is a quite a character and we got off to a shaky start when he made some comments which would not be acceptable in Britain. Excusing that he is 'a typical Italian man'. There was also a mix up with the credit card payments, but this was resolved and he was very apologetic. He won us over in the end.
Location. Used before. New owners now.
Very loud male in reception until late at night. Almost midnight. We were in room 1.
Modern room in a renovated palazzo, Owner was very friendly. About 10-15 minutes walk from train station, another 10 or so from old city center. Busses fairly simple to figure out. Great sites in town to visit.
Not a whole lot of restaurants nearby, but a little walk never hurt anyone who eats Italian food :)
Very affordable, within easy walking distance from the beautiful old city centre and the railway station. The proprietor is entertaining, kind and helpful. Ask him about his Jag E-type and the Mille Miglia! We parted as friends
Having to leave so soon.
Close to downtown, free parking within walking distance, friendly and helpful owner, good internet connection
Cannot open the windows, you cannot see outside too to the glaas
Large spacious room. Spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished. Very charming and friendly lady served me breakfast.
I had to walk down dark empty streets to find it. A clearer map or directions upo booking would have been helpful. Breakfast was not served before 8.00, so I only just caught my bus in time. Earlier breakfast option would be good.
It is close to city centre, station and other amenities.
The staff (actually only the guy who seems to be the manager/owner) is unbelievably rude and impolite. Never experienced anything like this. Anyone who uses booking.com be aware that he will complain about it, the price, the room size etc, and he will try to give you something different from what you booked. Internet only works in certain rooms, situated right above the reception. If you get a room on the far side on every floor just forget about it.
Really nice & quiet. Good excersise climbing the steps
Problems getting into hotel on the first night
Tutto era belissimo!! Grazie per la gentilezza a Dario!!! He gave a lot of good advises. That made our trip unforgettable!!! Not so far to the center!! 3 min to Frecia Rossa-good market!! Near many good places to eat!! Ask adress of "Mangia Fuoco"-ottimo!!!!
Helphul staff, perfect location, nice building
It is not my words, but I completely agree with Nina: "...location - 15 minute to the train station and city center by foot. Quiet street and no noise inside of the hotel. You are getting the keys and in the evening returning by yourselves to the hotel like to the apartment. Staff was very helpful." The owner helps us to find out the way to get to Lake Garda and the great restaurant in the city. In the morning he offered us free coffe. We could leave there our backpacks after check out for to be free while discover the city.
It was little bit cold in the apartments, but there was a lot of blankets :)
They did not say at booking.com that it was a bed and breakfast. the breakfast was not included and we had to fight to have it included. Internet password was worng and had to wait till next day.
I was there in december and there was colder inside than outsite. When i booked i said when we will arrive but ofc nobody was there we had to wait about 20minutes just to let us in. I also told them that we can not speak italian so they sent a native italian with no english at all...
The price was not what it was when we had booked, it was more. The staff told that they have rooms without bathroom also. We would have no bathroom if we had paid more.
Rather poorly run-vague and less than a professional operation-more like a hobby!!
All the furniture looked very new and the room had enough space. Location is quite convenient for the town centre and sightseeing.
The room stank of stale smoke which was very unpleasant. No kettle or normal things like a couple of biscuits in the room. The walls in the hotel are also incredibly thin, and the doors heavy so that they slam. We were kept awake at all hours of the night just from people entering and exiting and talking normally (and someone watching TV at 4.30am!) It was okay for the one night we stayed, but I wouldn't have stayed for any longer than that.
The Rooms were ok.
The stafff was ugly and not helpful at all. They spole only Italias, not even english. The double Rooms was said only to be used as single Rooms even if asked for doubles. They call themselves a bed and breakfast, but it was not possible to have breakfast there. They did not answer my mails before arriving.
Spacious clean room, pleasant building in tree lined street.
Meagre breakfast, tiny cup coffee, surly male staff, no air con in room.
