The staff were super-friendly and helpful. They provided us with some very useful and interesting information about the city and were very accommodating when we wanted to change our parking arrangements. The room was very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. And the city...wow the city....words are not enough to describe it! We had a beautiful romantic weekend and can't wait to go back! And we would definitely stay at the Marzocco again! The entrance to the building smells a bit damp...but...don't let this put you off!!! When you go up to the first floor where the hotel is located and open the door you'll soon see that there was nothing to worry about!!! Also, the Marzocco is a little way out from the centre - not very far, but if like us you spend all day walking round the city and its museums it may feel like a long way back to bed!!! (But probably the same could be said for any hotel after "doing" Florence!!!) Considering the quality price ratio, I'd say that this is a very minor negative point.

Frederica and Marco are superb hosts - took a lot of pains in explaining us the city directions, places to eat, to-dos and not-to-dos. Very very good breakfast as well. The small double room was smaller than what we expected but we did not spend too much time in the room, so it was ok.

The staff working there were great! They told us all there is to know about Florence. Lovely room with lots of TV-channels and A/C. Good breakfast as well. The B&B is very close to the trainstation and about 15-20 minutes walk from the the big Cathedral. Can't find anything negative!

Location convenient enough to reach most attraction and restaurants by walk, great hospitality, Marco took care of the car parking and helps with luggages, got real good recommendation on restaurants and how to get around the city. It was snowing and said to be the coldest winter in 25 years in the region but our stay in Florence was still one of the highlights in italy trip. Thanks!

The rooms were lovely, well furnished and extremely comfortable. The staff were very helpful in directing us to places of interests and suitable restaurants. The breakfasts were lovely with a great range. Exceptional value for money. The only thing they could improve would be wifi.

The location, facilities and comfort were all very good but the main memory is of how friendly and helpful the staff were. Their advice and practical help (for example in arranging museum visits) improved the whole holiday for all of us.

I love Frederica!!! So much energy and enthusiasm for her job. We wanted to have her tour the city with us! Also they accomodated us when we arrived and allowed us a bit larger room. Food was perfect and the location couldn't have been better.

Nice hotel, nice people, good location, for the price and location to be recommendid Air conditioning very weak, useless in summer heat, any other time of the year not an issue. Breakfast poor, but is that an issue?

This is a wonderful B&B. We stayed 4 nights and felt very welcome & comfortable there. The gentleman who was on duty during our visit could not have been nicer. He made reservations for us and spent about 30 minutes showing us highlights of the city on a map. The hotel was so easy to get to & close to the center, but very quiet. You felt like you were far from the hoardes of tourists. We would definitely return to Marzocco on future visits to Florence.

Extremely attentive and knowledgeable staff who went out of their way to show us key places during our short visit in Florence. We had the small room which was perfect for a night or two. Also our Italian breakfast was much better than we had experienced in other higher rated hotels. Approx. 4 min walk from main train station in Florence so pretty handy. We will be staying there again.

Rooms were clean, quiet and air conditioned. Fredrica was very helpful and told us about places in Florence to visit. Breakfast was great and the B&B was convenient to the train station. We were even able to leave our luggage there for 36 hours when we traveled to Venice. Would stay there again!

“The location is very good and just 3 mins walk from the Firenze SMN station. Although the hotel is near the Street side, it is very quite at night becasue of the double layers windows. Mr. Paolo (Boss) is nice and expalin eveything in detail when you check in. His Staffs are very nice too and my family likes to stay in this Hotel. The size of the room is big enough for 4 people. Also, a good supermarket just nearby and you will find a lot of cheaper things there.” Gavin, Hong Kong |
