close to train station, clean room, very freindly staff
room very small, a bit of a challange to communicate to staff
The hosts, especially Massimo, who gave excellent advice on things to see and places to eat. He made us feel really welcome. The rooms were all unique in decor and the beds were extremely comfy.
This B&B was excellent. The owner couldn't be more friendly & informative in relation to direction around Florence & great restuarants to try
Great location, fantastic hosts and breakfast and lovely clean rooms!
Loved the kind and helpful owners, the comfortable bed, and the amazing bathroom!
The location was convenient near the train station, but not much of a view and not near the main part of town. But great for the price!
everything just perfect here, I can't say how much I love it. I will definitely coming again! Great location, great breakfast, great room nice and clean!!
Very helpful staff and absolutely lovely inside ( Do not be put off by the ground floor entrance and its very secure) Our room was so nice we forced ourselves to go out to stunning Florence!
All good. Directions- stay alongside the station and cross further up . Much easier to find. It is just a door on the street so look at the bell signs!
We really like the rooms and the staff are very nice and helpful
Super convenient to the train station and easy walking distance to all the sights in the beautiful city.
Location is very close to train station. Staff are amazing and very helpful. They recommended a lovely place to have dinner which I can honestly say was the best meal we had travelling through Europe! The interior design is gorgeous and breakfast was great !!
We booked a double room and my boyfriend is six foot plus having our luggage barely gave us room to move around, very tiny room. I don't think we could have stayed longer than two nights as it became uncomfortable... It was ashame as we loved everything else about this place :)
Usually i find places near train stations to be a bit seedy or overpriced. This little place was very beautiful, with frescoes on the ceilings and a lovely breakfast with your coffee of choice. Overall, I would recommend it.
Signore massimo and his assistant are very helpful , they showed good their hospitality. hotel is very convenient. I loved very much italian style furnitures and decoration .Breakfast was good. We will come again next year ))
It would be better if there were some more italian locale chease.
Loved the wonderful decorated room, the very friendly and helpful staff.
- easy walk to train station - love the beautifully decorated breakfast room - simple but good breakfast - the quadroom is made up of two connecting bedrooms with two separate bathrooms, all very clean and elegantly decorated - the owner is very friendly and resourceful, providing lots of good tips on places of interest and restaurants. - good pricing
Definitely love everything about the hotel
Staff is very charming and helpful. Very clean room and bathroom. Breakfast is good as well. Very considerate (allowed us to leave our luggage for hours til we arrive from pisa).
This b&b is a lovely, lovely place to stay when discovering Florence. So close to the train station, which was great for me because I was a solo traveler with a big backpack. Its close to any public transport you might need, though I just walked everywhere. The staff is overwhelmingly kind and helped me reserve a ticket for the Uffizi the day before, which saved me probably 2-3 hours of standing in line. They were literally so incredibly lovely that I didn't want to leave! Internet is great, facilities are so beautiful and kept in impeccable condition. I definitely recommend you stay here : the breakfast is awesome!!!
The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to train station and major sites. The room was very comfortable, the double glazing made it very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect, including a very nice breakfast.
The host was lovely and attentive to all needs !! Everything you need
It's a bit hard to find when you first walk in it looks dodgy but turn on the light and go upstairs
Excellent from start to finish nothing was to much trouble, breakfast and location to station good. Staff brilliant would recommend this b&b to other travellers.
The location was convenient and Marco was very helpful about providing us with ideas for places we had not visited before. The room was air conditioned and very lovely. Breakfast was excellent and was made available early the morning of our departure. We would return to this B&B again.
It is on a busy street so it is very noisy when the windows are open.
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at B&B Il Marzocco (June 2014). The manager was friendly and extremely helpful, offering to book tickets on our behalf and suggesting the best local restaurants. Our room was a good size and you there was no street noise. There was a good continental breakfast on offer every morning.
I wouldn't have felt comfortable walking back to the hotel that late at night (or alone) as the road footpath runs alongside of the train station, passing many boarded up shops and beggar's at the station entrance. Also the bathroom could do with a deep clean or regrouting.
We really enjoyed our stay at the B&B Il Marzocco. Marco was extremely hospitable, knowledgeable , nothing was too much trouble. On a daily basis he helped us book trips, made reservations for galleries and recommended places to visit. A true gem!!!! Thankyou Marco
Very helpful proprietor and exceptionally useful AC. It was steaming during our stay in Florence (32-34deg C). Nice old building.
Breakfast was only OK. Plenty of food put out but bread not good for toast. Too many cakes and tarts for UK taste at breakfast. Only luke warm boiled eggs. Staff made cappuccinos on request but they were only luke warm. Room only just big enough to walk round bed and rather rickety wardrobe and drawer space. Although near to station, the walk to and from was one of the worst in Florence. Many people being unloaded from buses and coaches with cases. Best to walk the slightly longer way via the tram route which is total peaceful.
Breadfast is very good! and the staff are nice and helpful~
Marco was a wonderful host. I was not well during our stay and he provided some much needed medical advice to assist with my recovery. He was a considerate, helpful and genuine person.
Broken tiles in the shower need to be fixed. They detract from a beautifully decorated room.
