The owner is extremely nice and helpful, she also recommended a nice nearby restaurant - thank you! The apartment is surprisingly large and convenient, and we enjoyed the availability of a washing machine. In general, Sutri is one of the better stops on the Via Francigena.

We were on the Via Francigena walking to Rome and as we had...
We were on the Via Francigena walking to Rome and as we had done a shorter day's walk we were able to check out the archaeology. The Etruscan and Roman remains and the church in the cave were very interesting. The town is also very picturesque and we took advantage of the bar and the ice cream parlour in the square by the old gateway. It was very peaceful and car free with the old fountain. We ate at the Sfero d'Oro also in that square and particularly enjoyed the tasty ravioli.

As I arrived late, the flexibility of check in, really helped after a long day's travel. Amazing wifi connection and the location was perfect. Jill also made me feel at home and offered the right amount of help. And made great suggestions for eating out and about the bean festival. Plus travelling around on the buses. Interiors were warm,spacious, comfortable, light and decorated with gorgeous furniture. we had the room which looked onto the main street. Breakfast was delicious with fruit, yogurt and all the traditional pastries and breads of a typical italian breakfast. We stayed one night and Sutri is a beautiful small medieval town with small streets to explore and an excellent museum

When you've read the comments then you know that you get a room in the house where the owner and his dog (a very sage rather old dog) also lives. The (big) bathroom is shared with the other room. Very clean. Friendly owner who speaks very good English. He likes to prepare you a dinner in the evening. In the morning you get a cup of coffee and biscuits. He arranged a luggage transfer for me to the next hotel, so I could carry-on the via Francigena with al light small backpack.dannyBelgium

Ricardo the manager was very helpful and nothing was any trouble at all. The cleanliness of the hotel, room and especially the bathroom was clinical. All covid precautions were in force and everybody , guests, hotel staff all wore masks. i stayed there myself when visiting relatives in the area and will be back with my wife in the future. Without a doubt a great decision to stay there.

Ideal for couples and also for young families, thanks to the additional sofa - bed.
