Il Molendino Pisa B&B

The hosts are a wonderful, friendly & helpful couple. The building is a carefully restored old mill house. Our room was spacious, comfortable and delightfully decorated. Breakfast on a porch beside the garden was a perfect way to start the day.

The owners (Fabiola and Stefano) are very friendly and helpful. We have no words to describe how beautiful the house is. We stayed in the Suite Petraia which is very cozy and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and Fabiola prepares home-made cakes every morning which are the best we have ever tried! Great location (just 20 min. far away from Pisa). Definitely will come back!

Beautiful suite upstairs. Great breakfast with home-made cakes (fantastic crumble !), good coffee, freshly squeezed juice. Quiet place.

Charming and cozy country house with an incredible location. 20 minutes from Pisa Airport and city, great location to visit Pisa and being at the same place at a peaceful location. Stefano, the owner was very very kind and helpful with everything. The breakfast is excellent with natural products. Great cappucino and even natural orange juice, done at the moment. The most relaxing atmosphere during breakfast we've had in a long time. Classical music while your are enjoying this excellent breakfast in this lovely country kitchen. We would recommend this B&B for stayings in Pisa. It is only 20 minutes away from Pisa and the airport. Car needed.

Exceeded our expectations.

Loved everything! Our gracious and friendly hosts (Fabiola and Stefano), the room (Nicosia-romantic, spacious, quiet and very comfortable en-suite), the B&B (a beautiful stone building with lush grounds and a history going back several hundred years), the food (Fabiola's wonderful baking!), the surrounding area (in a scenic rural village but within 15-20 mins easy walking distance of the town, monastery and reasonably priced restaurants and cafes) and fabulous green countryside filled with the sound of birdsong and distant church bells........the setting and holiday was exactly what we were looking for!

One small thing that should be mentioned is that 3 of the rooms are up a very tight spiral staircase which could present a problem for the less able bodied (Stefano can bring suitcases and bags up to the rooms and, of course, down again!)

Fabiola and Stefano are incredible people. I agree with all reviewers - this is special place, atmosphere, hospitality. Not everyone has such a feeling at home, like guests does at Il Molendino... Thank you very much!

Il Molendino is a very charming place to stay in the neighbourhood of Pisa. The beautifull authentic building is situated in a small village and has a fantastic garden, wonderfull to relax. The owners are a very friendly and sympathetic couple, eager to please their hosts. Breakfast is fantastic, served on a beautifull porch. It is also possible to have s a simple dinner for a reasonable price. The town of Pisa, the beaches, Lucca and different other nice spots in Tuscany can be reached easily. We highly recommend this beautifull B&B!

Un B & B dans un écrin de fleurs et de verdure, un vrai petit paradis terrestre. Des gâteaux maison au petit déjeuner, avec un chat pot de glu sur les genoux. Accueil simple et chaleureux des hôtes.

Très difficile à trouver, il faut avoir l'oeil pour ne pas rater les panneaux !

Att komma till Il Molendino är som att stiga in i Paradisets italienska trädgård. Skönheten i den välbevarade och fint omvandlade gammla möllan,skapar en genuin vilsam oas med vingslag från många århundraden tillbaka..Äldsta delen av pensionatet är från 1300-talet.Olivlundarna klättrar från trädgården och följer berget uppåt..Många familjer har en egen olivlund så som vårt värdpar.Vårt rum ligger på tredje våningen, med ljuvlig utsikt över kamelia blommor och olivlunden.Rummet var lagom stort.Vi fick in en extra säng till mitt barns farmor.Ingen extra kostnad.Fantastiskt rustikt och vackert möblerat i sekelskifts stil.Ett gammalt klädskåp,äkta mattor på golvet bonade om.Myggnät för fönstret gjorde att vi luftade ut vår- värmen på kvällen och slapp använda air konditionen som också fanns.Även en vanlig fäkt fanns att tillgå. Värdparet Fabiola och Stefano är oerhört varma och tillmötesgående,speciellt Fabiola!Vid frågor kunde de tex lätt hjälpa med buss och restaurangbokning.Vi fick underbar frukost med hem-bakta kakor,gott bröd och skinka,ost och marmelad. På önskan även salami. Youghurt,med olika tillbehör, gott kaffe och varm mjölk på begäran skapade en god frukost stund på verandan. Nypressad juice från morgonens torg handel lyste upp dagen. Allt serverades trevligt och familjärt.Bra bussar till Pisa gjorde det lätt att vara bil lös.Om man önskar och de har tid,så kan Fabiola eller Stefano skjutsa, inte bara till flygplatsen i Pisa utan även till närmsta tågstation. Det sparade oss en massa tid så att vi fick uppleva Luuca en härlig medeltids stad!Själva byn Calci är inte stor, men här är några mysiga restauranger och ett stort sevärt kloster.Om ni vill uppleva vänlighet, en härlig natur att vandra i, lugn och fågelkvitter åk hit! Un posto semplicemente meraviglioso!!Camera stupenda, arredamento fantastico, posto incantevole!!Buonissima anche la colazione!!Ripeto, Posto semplicemente MERAVIGLIOSO e proprietari molto gentili!!

Abbiamo trascorso un ottimo soggiorno. C'è piaciuto tutto l'insieme, dal B&B che offre un'eccellente comfort e relax, alla buona colazione e ai gestori,una gentile e simpatica giovane coppia. B&B consigliato per relax e viaggi nel countryside toscano.

Sdb commune incluant les wc ,vraiment pas Fonctionnel,accès chambre par un colimaçon Très étroit Dîner parfait mais pas de déco ,nappe en plastique aucun éclairage ou bougies mettant en valeur la végétation

Tout est exceptionnel dans ce lieu : le cadre, un ancien Moulin, l'accueil des propriétaires Fabiola et Stefano, les chambres aménagées et décorées avec beaucoup de raffinement, les petits déjeuners avec entre autre des salades de fruits frais et des gâteaux maison. Nous y serions bien restés plus longtemps... En plus de cela, il est situé à demi heure environ de pise et de lucques. Sur place, au village de calci, il y a le monastère de Certosa, un des plus anciens plus grands d'Europe qu'il ne faut pas manquer de visiter.

Ho soggiornato presso il b&b per motivi di lavoro ma mi sono ripromesso di tornarci con la mia compagna per godermi ancora la totale sensazione di tranquillità di cui si gode in questa magnifica struttura. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile, igiene delle camere e di tutta la struttura davvero eccellente. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Consigliatissimo a coppie in cerca di relax. Un saluto alla gattina Camilla che con I suoi 21 anni di età è la prova vivente si quanto si possa star bene in quella casa!

Aan de rand van het kleine plaatsje Calci ligt deze voormalige watermolen, omgebouw tot een schitterende b&B. Bij aankomst viel ons direct al op hoe mooi deze B&B ligt; aan de rand van het dorp, tussen de olijfbomen maar wel op loopafstand (15 min) van het dorpscentrum. Nadat we onze koffers hadden uitgeladen werd direct door de gastvrouw aangeboden dat haar man (via privé-trap) de koffers naar onze kamers zou brengen, dit omdat de normale trap vrij smal is. De kamer was vrij simpel maar wel erg netjes, voorzien van een fatsoenlijk bed. Het ontbijt was goed met o.a. broodjes/vers fruit/yoghurt; dat wat niet aanwezig was werd wel weer aangeboden en daarop ook gebracht door de eigenaar, varierend van kaas/worst tot eigengemaakte koffie of cappucino. 's Avonds hebben we tot 3-maal toe gebruik gemaakt van de mogelijkheid om in de B&B te dineren. De gastvrouw bereidde een typisch Toscaans gerecht waarbij van te voren werd overlegd wat men wilde eten (vlees, vis, pasta, ....). Het eten was zeker zo goed zo niet beter als in een restaurant. Niet dat we slechte restaurants hebben aangetroffen, want wat is het eten daar toch ontzettend lekker..!! Vanuit Nederland zeggen wij: Stefano & Fabiola, grazie..!!
