-location is near the metro station, which is only ard 3mins walk -there's a small fridge inside the room which I don't need to store my food in the shared kitchen
1. The shared bathroom is not really clean, it's filled with a smell of cigarette which makes me disgusted! 2. It's not comfy to stay on the upper bed because it is quite high and you will be fall down easily 3. There is not even a single chair inside the room 4. It is TOO NOISY! I got akwen by the noise at like mid night or early morning in both of my room and in the corridor!!!!
The place is really nice, very well organized, clean and comfortable. The Staff is friendly, the beds are very good and the location is superb.
That the bathroom door is just next to the beds, can be annoying sometimes...
Large rooms, many bathrooms, a lift, air cond, a free public computer, location half way between the central train station and the cathedral.
The kitchen is a disaster area. Everything is broken, no means to boil water, no cups, no tea or sugar, 3 small, shaking tables. If they fix the kitchen, it will become a super hostel.
Very good location in the middle between Duomo and Central station (Both destinations are 15 minutes walking).Modern facilities, spacious rooms.Reception 24 hours open.
Sheets and pillows are not ready in beds and you must carry and place them from reception when you arrive, and give them back while leaving.
Big rooms with big lockers Good location 15 min walking to duomo and near metro station turati.
Staff is not friendly. They charge everything. I asked for a.hair dryer and they wanted to charge 4 €. Also to leave your bag when you check out. Poor wifi in rooms. Kitchen is not equiped and with only 3 tables . Not any service you pay just for the bed.
having to deal with bed linen at both check in & check out time is deplorable, additionally compounded by the additional charge for towels . the only saving factor is the relatively central location
Not worth the price. Terrible cost-benefit. Towels are charged separately and blankets too. If you wish to use the hair dryer also need to pay. Very small room with the bathroom door stuck.
This place is close to city center. Beds are comfortable. My room had its own bath. And the staff was friendly.
The hostel was 20 minutes easy walk to all the major sites. Close to a grocery store and restaurants and had an elevator!
The bathroom smelt very bad unfortunately. It was the only bad thing about the hostel.
Beautifull common areas and rooms. Very friendly staff. Plugs in the lockers. Good location.
That we had to pay for towels and blankets. No soap in the bathroom (even for the hands). And some of the plugs weren' t working
the location is quite close to the metro and the stuff are really helpful
we need to wait for the shower to prepare hot water, and it won't last long before it gets cold again
Location is good, close to city centre and easy to find. Facilities are convenient. The room is very clean and well designed. Staff are friendly.
We booked 2 beds in 8-bed dorm (the cheapest version). Our stay was much better than we expected! The staff was very kind. But the best was the dorm. It (huge room) was subdivided into kind of smaller rooms with three or two beds and en-suite bathroom in each. It made us feel as if we had a private room, I almost didnt hear or see our neighbours! It was very warm (our stayed in November). All the facilities were very clean. We also rented towels which came with basic toiletries for just 5 euro. All in all a great stay!
Great bunkbed designed for ease of use and maximum privicy of guest. Great, clean ensuite bathroom. Great wifi that was accessable throughout hostel. Fridge in room. Lift. No need for stairs. Quiet - Great nights sleep.
Clean Center of shopping and areas of interest.
Mosquitoes got in room Towels are 5 euro
The beds, the location, the cleanliness.
The wifi in the room was poor and the blankets that where a bit old.
It is in a very good location, right in the center of Milan with good connection with Metro (very close to Turati - two stops from Central Station), various busses and tram.
It was very warm and without air circulation in the corridors, the room was pretty cold. Common spaces, a part from the little tables at the 1st floor, are not really cozy. The interiors are really particular (a lot of black and heavy elements), it really doesn't feel like staying in a old monastery :(.
Seems clean, near a subway station, central heating, great shower, wifi signal was great in my room.
Staff made a very poor first impression on me and my group by being rude after I travelled the whole day to get there. You have to take sheets, pillows and blanket by yourself to the room on check in and back on check out. Towels and baggage storage are paid and there is a tourist fee. Triple room was a double bed and a single.
First is: You cant find that good localization for this price. Its just between stacione centrale and duomo, just few minutes from via della spiga, where You will remember that Your not in 15k euro / bag business, but sleeping in Monastery. But still extremely good starting point for milano.
The second is... Well, think about the comfort more like about the prison room from shawshank redemption with open door, then normal one.
Hostel nice, but there are lice in the dorms. They bite and suck your blood at night, plus stick to your clothes and stuff and come along with you to your home. There they reproduce and are extremely hard to get rid of.
Warning! There are lice in the hostel, they bit me every night and went into my bag and clothes. A lot of trouble to get rid of them before I go back to my own country, because I definitely don't want them in my home! All of the things I brought with me have to be put into a freezer (-20 Celsius) for a week or washed in +60. By all I really mean all: bag, clothes, books, shoes, jackets, etc.
The room at night was really cold although the heating was on. They gave us a tiny and slim blanket that was not enough.
Staff is friendly and makes the communication easy. Location is perfect. Would recommend this hostel for sure. Thank you!
The Monastery Hostel was in a great location. I enjoyed the short walk to the city centre and Duomo. Lockers included, decent bathroom, comfy beds and very good wifi.
The first staff member I was greeted by was very rude, but all other staff members I dealt with after that were helpful and friendly, some more than others. The staff can really make or break a place for me, so try not to let one person turn you off.
Good location. Very kind staffs. Reasonable price. Well organized.
You need to pay 4 euros for leaving your baggage after checking out.
