Nothing; everything was perfect.
Two of the biggest perks of Palazzo dei Diavoli are the location and the host. The farm is very close to Montepulciano and offers a stunning view towards the town. Although walkable, the town is best to be reached by car (particularly during dark hours). Theresa, the host, is very welcoming and caring. Upon arrival she gave us a great introduction about the things-to-do in the surroundings and she took us on a small tour over the farm to see and hear more about the farm, the bbq-facility, the trees, and all the herbs that we were allowed to pick for cooking purposes. Fun! Although we didn't expect to get breakfast, she even left some things in the apartment for the morning (sweet breadies, milk, cornflakes, homemade jam, coffee, sugar, et cetera).
The apartment itself was also perfect; we rented 'Il Gelso', a homey apartment for 2 persons with a very well equipped kitchen, a spacious, modern bathroom, a nice bedroom with a perfect bed (finally a bed with a good mattress!) and last but very not least... a private terrace attached to the house (with a view over the garden) and access to another terrace set in the midst of the stunning garden!
