Only 100 yards from the famous Basilica of San Francesco, Hotel Sorella Luna offers a very convenient location in central Assisi. In a 15th-century stone building, it has free Wi-Fi and refined rooms....
Score from 511 reviews Wonderful
Set in the Medieval quarter of Assisi, Hotel Giotto is just 650 ft from the Basilica of Saint Francis. It offers an elegant restaurant with spa center and panoramic views out over Spoleto and Perugia....
Score from 226 reviews Very good
Located 500 metres above sea level, the Ròseo Hotel offers panoramic views across Assisi and the Umbrian valley. A free shuttle connects you to Assisi's town centre in 5 minutes.
Score from 138 reviews Very good
Hotel Umbra is a pleasant, small hotel set in a typical medieval street near the central Piazza del Comune, the heart of Assisi. All rooms at the Umbra come with traditional furniture.
Score from 151 reviews Excellent
Hotel Il Palazzo was in an excellent location. The facilities are beautiful and the room very well decorated. The breakfast was excellent and the service also excellent.
Great location and wondeful views towards the valley. Rooms in fourth floor
It was do closed to the San Francesco's church. Convenient to move arounddu
Difficult to find
Very large room with high ceilings.
Staff leaves at 9:00 p.m. and leaves your room key - with the number showing - on the counter, along with a number of others. Not exactly the most secure arrangement.
Everything most enjoyable trip & well located to all we wanted to see. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks for makino our trip great.
Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were large and comfortable. The free (all you can eat) breakfast was outstanding. Big selection of food (ham, cheese, rolls, cereal, fresh fruit, etc.). They even made you fresh coffee (cappuccino, espresso, or Americano) and brought it to your table. The rooms were very clean and the maid service was great.
Great location Friendly staff
Everything including the location, breakfast, facilities and staff friendliness.
Location was very good. Hotel had very good facilities including an ample elevator (difficult to find in some hotels in Europe). The staff spoke English, was friendly and efficient.
Beds were not so good
I loved everything about this charming little hotel. It was a wonderful mix of old architecture with newer furnishings. The view out my room to the valley below was spectacular! Breakfast selection was nice. The staff is very helpful and you are on the main street in Assisi.
There wasn't anything that I didn't like.
The hotel was very good and the staff very helpful. Probably our best on the journey. Close to the church and other sites. Very good breakfast.
Not good for shopping for everyday items. Room overlooking stree which became noisy at night, but tolerable.
Being near to the Basilica of St Francis. Near to cafes and restaurants. Not too noisy.
Having to leave after only two nights.
Building has been in same family for 500 or so years. This was our 2nd stay, staff helpful & pleasant. Gets a 10 for cleanliness. Beautiful views. So far Assisi our favorite town in Italy & we quite like this hotel.
Nothing I can think of.
Good location. It is in the ZTL but you can drive in and drop your luggage at the hotel. Just 3 minutes walk to the basilica, San Francesco.
Wifi is bad, no connection in first floor room 104. You had to walk out in the corridor to use your smartphone.
Great location, handy for the Duomo. Friendly staff. Lovely lounge area where you could look out onto the street. Nice breakfast.
Wifi was troublesome whilst we were there, but we sat in the lounge area and it was fine. Parking not too far from hotel, it's worth the hassle of finding your way to the hotel for the central location.
The hotel is centrally located, but you will have to park about ten minutes further down.
We had a room to the street. As it was quite warm and there is no AC or fan we had to sleep with open window. I guess I woke up about ten times per night as it was very noisy (also with ear plugs). I can't recommend this hotel - I actually asked for a quiet room in my booking...
It was our 20th wedding anniversary and this was a perfect hotel to celebrate it. We stayed in the suite, worth paying the extra for the beautifully painted ceiling, 4 poster bed, lovely room, with a fantastic view across Umbria. Perfect location between cathedral and main square. Fantastic walks and views. Lots to see and do. Lots of great places to eat and drink.
Not easy to park, but can park for an hour whilst dropping off luggage
Great position. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Spotless. Breakfast plenty.
Not much. Only thing was my room was right on the street so a little noisy but in true Italian style, all went quiet early so no real problem.
Great central location and fabulous view from room. Spotless throughout and great modern conversion of a very old building. Owners/staff were very friendly and helpful.
A bit tricky to find when arriving by car and parking is a distance away, but still worth the effort!
The view The location - close proximity to all the sites The staff - very helpful and cheerful A lift that worked
No negatives - we had a wonderful stay in Assisi.
Friendly, helpful staff making you feel welcome from the outset and recommending walks, restaurants without our asking. Our room/suite was palatial - we even had a piano! Wonderful location. The breakfast was superb, with fresh fruit and proper coffee made as you wanted.
Can't think of a thing!
Everyone was very helpful and friendly and offered a variety of suggestions. I would like to stay there again. Breakfast was very nice. Scott, Bath, England
Some thing minor needed correcting in the room but they do not know if they are not told, and so they were pleased I told them.
Silvio (owner of this hotel) was extremely nice and helpful. We arrived to Assisi around 1:30 am and couldn't find the hotel (GPS is no help in Assisi). We called Silvio and he drove his car to pick us up and bring to the hotel
1. Lack of AC 2. Not very reliable Wi-Fi 3. No English-speaking TV available 4. Extremely small room
We asked for a room with a view and they gave us one on a corner with a magnificent view from both sides of the room. It was breathtaking. I loved everything about the hotel and Assisi. The hotel was on the main thoroughfare and very quite.
central location the beautiful historical building the very helpful and friendly staff the breakfast
small thing, but it would have been nice to be able to make coffee
