Featuring a pretty roof terrace, a large breakfast buffet and air-conditioned rooms, the Novecento is a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum in a quiet residential area, 325 ft from Manzoni Metro...

EXE Domus Aurea is next to ancient Roman ruins and the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli. A generous American buffet is served daily on the roof terrace overlooking the Terme di Diocleziano.

+Location (Near Termini station) +Cheap and found a room with private Bathroom +Map and guide about what to see around rome for our time there +Everyday cleaning service
-Wifi not working on room and had to be outside room to communicate via internet -Not hot water after some hour at night. -People at reception could have been a bit more helpfull and talkative
I like the location. There is a Termini station and lots of places to be in Rome near Hotel Il Papavero .
There was pure wifi connection.
Great location in rome center. Helpfull staff, not noisy environment. Room and beds were clean. It is not luxury hotel but for such a price as we paid - good choice for students and other young people.
It is very good located, really charmy and nice place.
good location, clean room
weak wifi signal
Good location, about 10 mins walk from the Rome Termini station, and 30 mins walk from the Colosseum, which was ideal for us as we went for countdown festivities. The room that we got was actual 2 doors down the reception (another building).
This is for Room 16. Less serious issues: Free wifi didn't work in room. We booked a room for 4 adults, which has a double decker bed, and a double (queen?) size bed. The double decker bed does not have a ladder, so you will need to step on a chair/table to get to the top. Told staff about this and it's clear that he knew this was a problem, but just shrugged it off and said something along the lines of "that's how it is". The 'big' bed was a bit weird too - it's just two single bed joined together, hence there was a 'cavity' in the middle. Even less serious issues but worth noting: Noise insulation wasn't great. Locks in toilet weren't working. Shower head holder wasn't working (too loose) - we just left it on the floor. The bigger issue was heating. We stayed during the winter season (we were in Rome for New Years). On the first day, I was told that (central) heating will only be turned on from 7 PM onwards until the next morning - sounded bizzare as we paid to stay in the property, but still they were not willing to turn heating on 24/7, but since we won't be in during the day, I just shrugged it off. However, night came and the room was actually freezing. Told staff at 9PM ish and he said that it will take time for the room to heat up and told me not to worry. I took his words and went back to the room, but turned out it wasn't the case. We just endured and put on extra layers of clothes that night. The next morning, I complained to the staff (female, who was nice), and she immediately handed me the remote control for the air cond in the room, and we have it switched on to the max temp (30 degrees). However, when we came back that evening, the control was taken away and another guy came in later with the remote to ask if the room temperature was okay, we said yes, and he either switched it off or lowered the temperature, which I didn't notice, and went off.
The staff were really kind and helpful, the room very large and clean. The localization was perfect (near to everything).
I switched to this hotel from another one in Rome because its ratings had declined dramatically, but I was concerned about some of the comments about this hotel as well, but I need not have worried. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is cheap although that does not include breakfast. The wifi works and is reasonably fast. However, for the price it's a great hotel in a good location so I am happy to recommend it.
The only slightly quirky things is, like so many hotels in this part of Rome, they do not own the whole building so my room was in an apartment on Floor 4 where the other three apartments were owned by somebody else. Added to this somebody had squeezed another room in above mine and there was NO soundproofing, so if you get Room 9 take earplugs.
I had a quiet room which was great. Cleanliness is paramount and my towel was changed three times during my 7-day stay. Signora Marianna at reception is VERY helpful and dealt very efficiently with all my queries.
I would have liked a cup or glass in the bathroom. I missed having a table in the room as I do a lot of writing and it is very uncomfortable to do that without a table. Being on the first floor (32 steps)to which there is no access by lift, it was uncomfortable to go up the stairs when half way through my stay I developed a very bad left foot. I would go back to this hotel but would prefer a room higher up where there is access by lift. (Not wanting to make a fuss I did not ask for a change of room)
Price Location Clean, decent room and bathroom Free wifi with good signal in my room Private entrance, different from the hotel reception
No smokers' rooms Heating was off, but they turned it on upon request Too early checkout time (1030 am) but they let me check out half an hours later
In room smels like aceton
The staff was very nice and helpful, our room was cleaned every day and the location was great, we didn't have to take a bus once to do the sightseeing.
The wifi connection didn't work half the time and the walls were really thin, people talking on the street woke us up in the middle of the night
Great experience, value for money, very close to all tourist objectives and to transport facilities. Clean and civilized area, and helpful staff.
Very nice and helpful staff, great location, quiet room. I'm totlly satisfied
Everything, especially the location: five minutes from Termini and one can walk virtually everywhere. Staff are also terrific, especially Marianna.
The room was extremely clean Good location, friendly and helpful staff Comfortable beds
Lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, good enough location.
No cups in room, bathroom was accross the hall, no wifi in room had to go to lobby.
Close to termini station.
Cold room, noisy, it seems the room was a bathroom in the past. Just for one night stay...
Very close to the Termini Stazione and excellent eateries all around. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
Room could use a little ventilation.
The location is excellent, so close to Termini Station but in a pleasant, smart, and safe area. The area is multicultural, with lots of people from East Africa, Peru, Philippines, etc., which delights me, with interesting places to eat world food. The staff (especially Marianna) are just wonderful. This is the third time I stay at this hotel, and Marianna remembered me, which made me feel so special. I also like the fact that the hotel is very private, the reception being separate from the rooms. The building is really nice, with character. The wi-fi worked to perfection in the room.
This time I was allocated a modern room, and the walls were pretty scuffed, which wasn't so pleasant, although the place was extremely clean otherwise. I missed a table or desk of some description, as I needed to do some writing. I feel the room was a bit overpriced considering the looks, but I just like this hotel all in all, so I plan to keep coming.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff
Price is reasonable.
Beds are uncomfortable
Location, wi-fi connection
Missing breakfast. In a case of business trip one must be prepared that will be not able to regain the all fee paid. The hotel staff has difficulties with issuing separate Invoices for a couple rooms booked at once, and you need to struggle a lot to get separate Invoices for each room. Unfortunately you are not able to convince anybody that a city tax should also be included into the bill, so be prepared to cover this with your own resources.
The staff was nice and the room was 2mins from the termini. Wifi was fast
We were transfered to a room located in an old residential building which doesn't seems a proper place for hotel's room and it doesn't have an reception and safety facilities. The room was acceptably clean but there are strange pipes sticking out from the walls and floor.
