Beautiful renovation of an ancient building caused minimal problems for a 6'5" man, ie short doorways. Great value and helpfulness from the owner were outstanding. Central location was fun.

Montevarchi is a wonderful Tuscany town with a lot of character, clean city. Definitely worth stopping. Go to the piazza and meet the locals and have a coffee with them. On Thursday morning you maybe lucky enough to catch the local markets.

We came to Montevarchi especially from the recommendation of our friend to eat dinner at the restaurant "La Buca di Ipo". It was worth it. The kitchen is perfect. Pizza on a thin batter, completely different than Neapolitan. Zuppetta sensational, seafood too.

Montevarchi is well situated for visiting most of the gorgeous cities and towns of Tuscany and the stunning Tuscan scenery. We explored the Chianti region, Arrezo (defnitely worth a visit) Siena and Florence from Montevarchi. Montevarchi is a town which I would think would have most things available that people might need whilst on holidays.

We really enjoyed our stay then and were hoping the property had not changed. When we arrived, we noticed that it had changed but for the better. The staff was extremely welcoming and courteous. It is a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. We only wish we could've stayed longer!
