very nice and clean hotel, clean, nice bathroom, excelent restaurant.
The staff in the restaurant is very good. Pasta was good. Nice breakfast. Nice room. Comfortable for singles. Bottom line - Come here if you really need a spa, if you just want a quality bed for the night or have a convention in the hotel.
When you choose a quin size bed it's to single beds attached. You do not feel Toscana from the hotel ( No views, no vineyards ) just a very nice resort. The mixed grilled meat was very poor (but once we said so we got a plate of good cheese instead ). WiFi in the room didn't work. Be sure - the spa is all foe extra money !! Bottom line - Go elsewhere if you are a couple on a vacation who wants hotel for few nights to enjoy the Tuscany views and atmosphere
Staff were brilliant and great location for travelling around. Amazing breakfast
Rooms not as per pictures in website, needs a little updating. Jacuzzi was not working
Location, breakfast, staff , pool was nice but cold.
Shower leaked a lot over the bathroom floor. It was cleaned up but never fixed. After the 3rd time my wife slipped and fell, hitting her head. We complained but got no adequate response. Gym was fairly well equipped but having to pay extra for sauna, steam room & jacuzzi was not expected.
the hotel has unique ambience. staff is super. dinner was amazing. everything is ok.
wifi isn't working in the rooms
The hotel is very grand and we just loved the decor. There was a huge pool outside although it was too cold to make use of it. The staff was very nice and friendly. Our room was really nice and we had an outdoor little table and chairs which was great. The breakfast was really nice.
No good wifi connection in the rooms.
We got a really good deal on our room as a last minute booking so can't be too picky. The pool was lovely although in need of a good clean and the breakfast was excellent. The location was also good for visiting the fort and Siena.
This is definitely not the Tuscan dream on a remote hillside. It is located just off a main road and felt very much like a conference/business/bus tour hotel. Our room was 403, it was clean and roomy but the noise from the conference suite right below it and from the reception and our neighbours was rediculous. You could hear full conversations from people in the room next door. Ear plugs are an absolute necessity if you would like some sleep. We were very surprised to learn that there was a (substantial) cost to use the spa facilities, even the jacuzzi, which wasn't mentioned anywhere on the description and the bar prices were high I.e. 10 euros for a glass of house red. The room was very clean but old fashioned and the bed was extremely hard. Not a 4 star hotel. If you just need a base in the area, get a last minute cheap deal (we paid 49 euros a night) and take earplugs it is not bad but we wouldn't rush back.
It has good facilities and nice room. Lovely pool and garden in the centre and good breakfast provided
It was too far from Sienna to be convenient and very close to the highway so noisy. For me it lacked ambiance and was a bit of a tourbus stop for retirement tours. I am sure those guests would have really liked the pool etc but for me I did not feel at home
The apartment was very stylish, spacious and clean. It felt very Italian country chic. We loved the decor. It was great having the small kitchen with all we needed to cook when we wanted. The only downsize was the hard, uncomfortable bed. The breakfast was wonderful every day with very helpful, friendly staff. Dinner in the restaurant on the Friday night was amazing and very good value. Overall a fabulous place to unwind in the Umbrian hilltop countryside. Check the directions as it is in the village of Avendita which was not made clear to us.
It's a little remote and involves a lot of driving up and down the windy mountain roads to sightsee. Great for cyclists, Trekkers and people wanting a quiet retreat. Not the greatest base for touristic pursuits.
Great food at restaurant. Staff are very helpful and kind. Spacious room and toilet.
Noise from corridor especially in the morning when cleaning staff start their shift. Internet is very slow in room.
Good sized room. Waiter staff were excellent at dinner and breakfast. Good food. A very enjoyable stay
Bed was too hard for me
Location great for touring area. Pool brilliant to return to after day out. Staff really helpful
Original room allocation poor ended up paying extra to ensure direct access to pool not clear on original booking. Otherwise no major issues
After long trip with baby in the car we found that hotel is absolutely amazing place to stay.Everything is perfect-the location, nature around, facilities, breakfast.Very quite and comfortable hotel. The restaurant provide you delicious menu and all the staff pay a lot of attention to you personally to help you feel like you are the famous star of |Hollywood)))))
Great location very close to the delightful medieval village of Montereggioni and a short hop to Siena. Very spacious pool area with a relaxed atmosphere. Great food in the restaurant and great breakfast.Very nice staff in the hotel.
food, wine, leisure
The maître de and his staff, food was good when maître de was there, he was amazing, a good base for visiting nearby areas
Location is just off a main road, rooms are not soundproofed, wedding on Saturday very noisy, took over the restaurant and half of the pool area, pool sunbeds are green, and need a good clean, first room we were given was dirty, second room better but found dirty sock under the bed, we were supposed to have room overlooking courtyard, eg pool, but were on the other side, some of the reception staff are rather cold, well one woman in particular, hotel looks lovely, but it is a bit grubby when you look more closer.
The staff were superb - very helpful and professional. The pool area was excellent, with very comfortable beds, and the restaurant was very good. In general this hotel was elegant but also relaxed.
Our room was dark with poor lighting for reading, day or night.
a 4 star kind of place. not staggering in luxury and ambience, but very nice layout, very nice pool, clean, relaxing, great location. i think most people will be very satisfied.
not much to complain about.
Comfort,location,clean,friendly staff ,restaurant,very tasty breakfast,pool.
Wi fi in room
Good resturant staff and food was great. The pool bar was also very good and the views great. It's a beautiful resort but attention to detail is lacking and residential guests do not get considered during functions.
The pool was not clean-there was green algae on the sides of the spa chairs in the pool. We were there for just under a week and there were 2 evening events that went on until the early hours of the morning resulting in a lot of disturbance for the guests; we were not told about these when we checked in. As many rooms open out to the pool area the parties being around the pool at 1am was very noisy and the hotel did little to resolve complaints from guests. We were put into a room near the breakfast room and reception which was very noisy and resulted in us being woken up each morning when they were setting breakfast up. We did move rooms and this was then quieter. There were no spa facilities: we were told we could use the sauna if we pre-booked but no other facilities were available. The shuttle bus to the local resturant mentioned was also not available. Overall we did not get an experience equivalent to the hotels description and were rather disappointed.
Access from room to pool area
Junior suite is actually a family room, no hot water for bath or shower, under the bed had not been cleaned, unfriendly staff on front desk
Room was spacious and clean, swimming pool quite big.
Localization near the highway, small breakfast. Hotel wasn't very "Tuscan".
Advertised a shuttle bus service which did not materialise - shortage of local taxis - one had to come from siena so very expensive to get around from this base
Nice pool and "back yard" facilities
The location was just next to the highway so you could here the cars constantly when you where outside. There was no functioning WiFi and although we made a complain the staff just said we'll fix it but nothing happend during the whole weekend. The staff was in general not very friendly and the double bed was made up by two different madresses of different height.
