Score from 303 reviews Excellent
This hotel provided a wonderful location in the center of Taomina. It also had a quiet room, with all the comforts one expects in fine hotel.
I did not like the fact that when I needed a taxi, the back door was the only way a taxi could arrive at the hotel. It was confusing for the taxi driver, to know who we were, and where to park the taxi, while waiting for us.
Good location, nice roof terrace.
The lady in the breakfast room was very unfriendly. Drinks were to expensive.
Absolutely brilliant location - incredibly handy for all the main sites in Taormina Staff were really helpful Breakfast was lovely and the dining area was a pleasure to sit in
Great location, nice view from balcony. Very quiet although right in centre.
Staff was not always very helpful. Also, there is no parking so you have to park in a public car park good 10 minutes' walking distance, which can be challenging with luggage/children. It also costs roughly 15EUR/day.
Great location, close to all restaurants and shops. perfect for evening strolls. Lovely garden. Good choice for breakfast. They even had spinach and green beans. Pool area on roof terrace is very nice.
Rooms and bathroom are very small. But they are very clean.
The hotel is perfectly situated just above the main pedestrianised street where you'll find all the shops and restaurants. It has a lovely garden area to sit in after a hard day's shopping and sightseeing. My room was a decent size with good amenities, clean and comfortable.
The hotel advertises Cable TV, which it does have but only for local non-English shows. The only English channels were CNN and BBC News. Not that i was there to watch TV but it would have been nice to watch a show (or at least a Music channel) that i could understand. Being a 'tourist' hotel i would have expected some consideration for non-Italian speaking guests.
Centrally located near Corso Umberto. Breakfast was served on a nice terrace beside the garden. Ample breakfast with variety.
This hotel was conveniently located with lots of shops and restaurants a few steps away. We enjoyed the breakfast on the patio overlooking the garden. Staff was courteous and professional. On our own we booked a private tour to Mt. Etna. Had dinner one night on the rooftop restaurant. The view was great and our choices at dinner was delicious. Will definitely stay there again.
Lovely hotel with terrace and swimming pool. Brilliant location for Taormina with lots of out door areas.
Nothing was perfect
shower facilities in the room were really bad, won't stay there again because of that.
swimming pool on the roof, closeness to the centre of town
standard room was not so pretty compared to superior room
The temperature of the water in the shower was terrible. It didn't stay one consistent temperature but went from hot to cold so was very uncomfortable (and dangerous as it sometimes got very hot). The issue wasn't rectified during our stay which was very disappointing- otherwise I loved the property and would stay there again.
Location Dining Area Breakfasts
No mirror in bedroom. Only mirror available was in bathroom & was unable to give a full length view. Also meant if bathroom occupied mirror unavailable.
The location was probably the best.
The staff attitude was generally poor. The room very disappointing, deceptive image on line! Totally unrepresentative of the town it's in! The breakfast was very unremarkable. In comparison to some of the other properties we had time to visit I would recommend any of them above this one.
Location, room amenities, cleanliness
Staff did not go out of their way to make us feel like welcomed guests. There were coffee cups and a coffee maker in our room, but no coffee. When we asked if we could make coffee we were told no. Didn't quite make sense to us and there was no further explanation or help.
Location, pay a little more and get main section, slight stairs in annex, but not bad
As you can't park, cases are a problem, beware
The location was perfect, just in the center of the city. Very clean. Breakfast was quite good and there is a 24 hour reception. I had booked a single room, but they gave me a superior double with no extra charges.
It was quite expensive, but it was still the high season (September). The superior double was kind of small for its price, but comfortable.
The hotel is closely situated to via umberto.
The room should be catered with glasses and not plastic cups.
Receptionist Sonia was excellent Restaurant staff also extremely helpful, cooking me fresh eggs when we arrived 2mins before breakfast ended Prior comments that the staff were unfriendly were completely invalid in our view - everyone was great Great restaurant
The walls of the room were badly scuffed and could do with a lick of paint The pool service finished at 4pm - very early given we didnt lose the sun until 7pm
Near the center, clean, calm, perfect.
Food, location, hotel, shops, and the people.
The time we had to leave and go home!!!
location is excellent
no bar facilities
Location was excellent - right off the Corso Umberto. Grounds/garden is well kept and lovely to sit in the evening. The hotel was spotless- cleaning staff do a great job in rooms and in public areas. Rooms are small but clean and very comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and fresh , if a little small. Facilities are small but good. Girl on reception was lovely. Young man on reception was lovely. Rooftop area is nicely decked with comfortable beds.
Incredibly rude restaurant manager (I assume)- I've never met any hotel staff as rude. Awful start to the day to encounter this man at breakfast. Breakfast supposed to be served until 10 - in reality you need to arrive before 9.30 as they don't seem to replace food at the buffet after this time. Restaurant manager literally closes doors to buffet at about 9.59. Other staff working on reception- there were 2 middle aged men that occasionally covered reception and they were unfriendly and not very helpful. Only 1 key per room- meant we had to leave and return at same time. Also my children (13 & 9) were in a separate room, I was uneasy not having a key to access their room while they were locked in there. Bar closed quite early Pool area is quite small but I expected that. Availability of shades at the rooftop pool was limited to 1 shade, which seemed to have a sensor making it retract at unpredictable times.
Location is unbeatable Modern & stylish hotel Pool on rooftop Lovely views
€180/night was quite expensive
Excellent location, very clean, friendly staff, excellent food, gorgeous roof top pool- incredible hotel, I will be back!!!!!
