One of the best hotel I have stayed. Staffs, location, facilities, cleanliness... everything was amazing, especially breakfast at the terrace. The view from there was fantastic! I wish I could stay there longer. 本当に素敵なホテルでした！またアマルフィに行く機会があれば是非利用したいです！
everything was almost perfect except for steps to the hotel. I know it's necessary to see a great sea view, but little bit hard to carry suitcase. 記載されていますが、階段が長いです。重い荷物がある場合は覚悟が必要です。
We stayed 4 nights at Il Porticciolo where the views were spectacular. We had a triple room which was a little tight for space however it was not a problem as the rooms were very clean and the towels were changed on a daily basis. The staff were friendly and very accommodating and could not do enough for us. We would definitely stay at this bed and breakfast in the future and recommend it to others.
The only negative would be getting your luggage up to the hotel can be a little difficult if your luggage is heavy. You are required to walk along the main and narrow road and then lift them up 40+ steps. There is a fee for someone to collect you and your luggage per person.
The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful and have great suggestions for dinner - we highly recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing stay at this stunning location - great view from the room and terrace :)
The location and view were amazing! Breakfast was delicious and the owner was very friendly and helpful
The bed was a bit uncomfortable
This is a small, 4 or 5 room bed and breakfast. The room was impeccably clean. The shower was great, and the views were outstanding, both from our room and from the terrace up top. I wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay again.
The only inconvenience was the luggage storage. We could store our luggage, but could only get it either before 10am or after 4pm. Not a big deal, but knowing in advance would have helped us plan our day - as it was, we spent some time deciding when to get our stuff.
Everything, one of the most wonderful places we have ever stayed. Our room was fantastic, had our own entrance and even had our own little kitchen, great to have a fridge to keep yours drinks etc cold. Wifi is really good and the shower was amazing. The views from the roof terrace must be amongst the best in Amalfi and we had the best breakfast every morning. Carmela & Geremia are great hosts, they did everything possible to make sure we had an amazing holiday. It's a great location, only 10 mins walk to the centre of town but peaceful & scenic. Can't wait to go back
Nothing. Even the steps up are great, helps you work off the pasta!!!!
the location is a bit up to the hill. But very nice panoramic view. The owners are very very nice and helpful. The room is very clean and comforatable.
The stunning view over Amalfi harbour from our very comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean room. Carmelia an exceptional host with her warm welcome, advice for local restaurants and fresh lemon juice served on the terrace after a day's walking just magic! breakfast equally impressive and a nice touch that the mornings where we had to leave before breakfast to catch the bus we were told to help ourselves to juice and yoghurt from the fridge. Much appreciated and a wonderful stay. Highly recommended. Yes the access involves steps but the welcome, the comfort and the view are worth it!
Carmela and geremias where great, the view pays all if I go back to amalfi I would stay there
My husband and I stayed in the "Barchetta" room on the ground floor with private entrance and sea view. As the B&B was newly restored, our room was very clean with new bathroom fixtures. Space wise, the room was large enough for the two of us and the bed was comfortable. The location is great if you want to feel like you're living amongst the locals and don't want to be too close to the attractions and noisy tourists. We came from the porto so we had a number of quiet pathways and stairs to deal with (but if you're taking the SITA buses from Sorrento, get off the second last stop as it will be one flight of stairs that will take you to the B&B). Fortunately, a nearby neighbour kindly dropped us at Il Porticciolo. Carmella was a fantastic host! She gave us great tips of where to eat and tours running through the Amalfi coast. She even checked up on me when she heard that I had a bad accident whilst sightseeing. The service we received from the informative email for arrival to the farewell felt genuine and was beyond my expectations. The continental breakfast at the rooftop terrace was generous and with a stunning view of the sea in front of you, it's a lovely start to your day. I would happily recommend Il Porticciolo di Amalfi to family and friends, and if I have the chance to visit Amalfi again, I would definitely stay here again.
The views are wonderful , breakfast on the terrace was great , Carmella and Jeremy were excellent hosts , very helpful and friendly , would stay there again in a heartbeat
Having to carry bags up the steps to the house
every part of our stay was first class! such a beautiful location perfect!
there is nothing bad to say we had a fantastic time!
Location, only quick 5 minute walk to centre of town. Views from the terrace of the harbour are magnificent! Our host, Carmela, is very friendly and helpful.
Il Porticciolo is in a splended location, with wonderful views of Amalfi in both directions, though there were inevitably steps to be climbed to reach it. The baggage pick up offered worked really well and was well worth the cost of 5 euros each. Our room was quite compact but had good hanging/storage space, very comfortable beds and a great view of the harbour from the window. The bathroom was pristine and the shower fabulous. Breakfast on the roof terrace (weather permitting) was delightful, with amazing views. Carmela, our hostess, was lovely: very friendly and helpful and recommended excellent places to eat - usually with a discount thrown in for mentioning her name! I would recommend it to anyone, provided you can manage to climb a few of those pretty much inescapable Amalfi steps!
Great location with a terrace overlooking the marina for breakfast and evening use. The staff were attentive, helpful and charming.
No problems at all
The decor was lovely and spotlessly clean. Carmela made us so welcome. It's a great place to stay just a short walk from the bustle of the centre. Beautiful views over the bay.
Nothing, everything was lovely
Amalfi is a beautiful town and our stay at B&B Il Porticciolo di Amalfi was the perfect end to our trip around Italy on our honeymoon. Carmella made us feel at home instantly. The room was clean, well equipped with an amazing shower and comfy bed. We had an incredible sea view. Breakfast on the terrace was fantastic over looking the harbour, the food was fresh and locally sourced with plenty of choice to set us up for the day. The fresh coffee put a spring it our step and the croissants were delicious. Carmella's knowledge of the town was indispensable and she recommended some great places to eat. Staying at B&B Il Porticciolo di Amalfi is like staying in someones home. The personal touch is evident and Carmella is there to help if and when needed, there's no pressure, you just feel welcomed. We cannot thank her enough, our 3 days there were simply perfect and we will definitely be going back to B&B Il Porticciolo di Amalfi. Karl & Kate (UK).
Nothing. It was 100% perfect.
The hotel impressed me a lot with it's great view and nice decoration and service. It's not big hotel but very clean and there is a wonderful terrace that you can enjoy the whole port and sea view. I suggest you to pay 5 Euro for the suitcase carrying and driving to hotel from the port at your first arriving which the hotel can arrange for you with advanced communication. And after that you can enjoy the hotel and find it not that far from the center and the Duomo of Amalfi by walking the steps.
Everything! It had a great view of Amalfi and yet walking distance to the centre. Rooms were very clean, great SERVED breakfast on a terrace overlooking the entire City centre and bay.
Not a thing.
the fantastic view, nicely decorated rooms, and Carmella the owner is fantastic..
Excellent location and great views of the coast and ocean from the room window and hotel terrace. Simple but very nice rooms with good taste (Amalfi Coast style and colors). Excellent service from Carmella and her staff. Very good price-quality relation. I definetely recomend it.
Very few complains: doors and walls aren't that solid, so you can hear noise from the hotel staff early in the morning (won't bother those who like to start the day early). Considering it's a B&B, the breakfast is ok but not great.
I highly rate our stay, Carmilla and her family and staff are probably the most friendly and accommodating hosts I've had the pleasure to meet. The rooms are really clean and very sizeable. The location is just perfect (a few steps to get there, but well worth it!) the views are just wonderful and breakfast on the terrace just perfect! We are planning on visiting again next year but for longer this time!
Fantastic host, Fantastic views, Fantastic location Fantastic breakfast Fantastic room, Fantastic atmosphere, Fantastic personality. we will definitely come again and we would recommend the amazing place to friends, family and all who appreciate something amazing.
Carmela, the host at Il Porticciolo, was wonderful. She was quick to offer advice, passed us along to a terrific dinner spot (Ristorante Il Tari), and prepared one of the best B&B breakfast spreads we've seen. The terrace at Il Porticciolo offers an amazing view of Amalfi. I spent hours there, and could have spent hours more!
The room I chose, the economy double room with kitchenettte, was a little too damp for us. If I could make my booking again, I'd choose one of the rooms in the main building with a sea view.
