Friendly, helpful staff, extensive breakfast served on white linen tablecloth & napkin, bedroom very luxurious, beautiful old historical building.
I can't praise enough the beauty of Quattro Poeti!! It was like living in a Renaissance palace with frescoes on the ceiling, amazing furniture and all the comforts of the 21st century! Breakfast was delicious and the location just ideal. And if all this has not won you yet, the owner Elsa with her hospitality and helpfulness definitely will! I sincerely can't find anything wrong to say about this B&B and it's owner. Elsa made our staying in this magnificent city truly unique and we will definitely come back!
The view from our room was lovely. The building and room had so much charm and history. And of course our hosts were just wonderful.
Good staff and location. Clean rooms. Value for money.
While booking, I missed that the hotel does not have any lift. Had to climb 120 steps with baggage. Only drawback.
Everything was perfect, Great value for money and the hosts are the best people in this B&B business. Everything is clean and comfortable - location can't be any better, with 5 minutes walk to Florence Cathedral and a two bus lines at the door that goes to the train station. Did i mention great hosts? = )
The location was excellent, bed and breakfast in this kind of restored building a great idea. Elsa was very efficient and friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was fine and location quiet.
I'll be great when a lift has been installed. Bed was quite firm. Room needed an easy chair and a larger TV screen as hard to see well, given the distance and size of room. Shelf or hook in the bathroom would be good.
the staff the service location the room
no lift no variation in breakfest the size of the bathroom(too small)
Beautiful room with frescoes on the ceiling, amazing breakfast, variety was top-notch, very italianesque experience :) Elsa, the host - really friendly right from the start and fun to talk to, also! The location of the B&B itself is uplifting, close to many of the city's major attractions (Basillica Santa Croce, Piazza del Duomo and so on) Thank you, Elsa! Best greetings!
Well - when heavy luggage is present, the 3rd floor with no elevator can be a slight bummer for some. Wasn't the case here, we really enjoyed the daily workouts :))) Also - the bathroom in the room we stayed in seemed so small and although practical, I must mention that I really hate those fixed showerheads
Exceptionally good service; extra-polite staff; lovely breakfast; very fast wi-fi; very convenient location.
3rd floor with no lift might discourage some visitors - the place is really worth it though.
I can not praise this B&B enough. Elsa was delightful from the very start. She communicated well, answers calls and is flexible and friendly. Her English is superb (and her French and her Italian!) The B&B is classically styled with frescoes on the ceiling of the breakfast room. Breakfast is a spread! While most Italian B&Bs will give you a voucher for a coffee and croissant, Elsa will set out a breakfast buffet just for you with meat, cheese, yogurt, cereal and multiple drink options. The price is absolutely a bargain. You are blocks from the Duomo and every other central site in Florence.
Beds are hard but it is a small price to pay for the rest of the experience. Also it is a walk up three floors, but they will soon be installing an elevator, so don't let that dissuade you.
A fresco in the room's ceiling? That's the real Florence experience! Great value for the money, big room, great hostess, carefully prepared breakfast, excellent location.
Wi-Fi was not really good, and the lack of elevator will be an issue after a full day walking in Florence
Such friendly owners, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are kept immaculately clean and breakfast is very good.
The stairs can be a long climb, particularly last thing at night, but the upside is keeps you fit!!
Everything! The room was beautiful and we were made to feel very welcome. There were no reviews for this place when we initially booked as it has not been open long, but I am so glad we did. This is without doubt the most amazing B&B I have ever stayed in.
love the hospitality of the two owners, very friendly in showing us around, booking museum tickets for us. breakfast is decent and good. beds were comfy toilet looks classy. wifi was very strong and they helped carried our luggage up and down the three storey stairs. location is convenient near town and attractions. value for money compared to other hotels!
getting there was not so easy. a good 15 mins walk from train station, not easy to find had to use gps. dragging a trolley luggage there was toil some. can consider take bus but I heard it takes a big loop. toilet shower room was pretty small for young couple like us. view of the room was inwards facing building. floor was very dusty maybe it's ancient flooring we weren't use to it.
Everything but no elevator ,Very nice couple as the owner, they will help you for the big luggage. Breakfast They are paying a lot effort to operate their own sweeti business.i love them.
Classic with modern touches Clean and comfortable The best hotel bed I've ever slept on Helpful and kind host!
- Very nice and helpful staff (helped us with our luggages, and recommended places to visit) - Fast and free WIFI - Breakfast was more than enough; really delicious! - Location was perfect, 3 minute walk to the Duomo. - Beautiful view of Florence from hotel window.
- No elevator - Door locks are old at main entrance, so they were a bit difficult to open.
Easy access to all of the sites we were interested in visiting. Loved being near the Santa Croce area for meals Elsa did many extra things for us: marked the city map and bus lines, called for Uffizi tickets, reserved an early morning taxi, served breakfast early so we could get to an 8:30 appointment. Her friendly presence added to the comfort of our stay.
As others have mentioned the stairs can be a problem for those with mobility issues. We knew about the stairs and they did not negatively influence our stay.
Met my boyfriend here for a date in the middle of our respective separate vacations in Europe. It was a very pleasant room and a nice place to stay together.
There is no elevator, but also no one suggested I call upstairs to get someone to bring my bag up. I carried it myself and then they yelled at me (what?). Would be nice to have hand towels in the bathroom - otherwise very nice. Breakfast was served after the time I had to leave to catch my train.
Very friendly and helpful
excellent location, very pleasant, nice atmosphere
for older people no lift
The rooms were beautiful. The breakfast was well served while watching a very informative travelogue on Florence. The owners and staff were. very friendly and helpful.
Did not like the fact that there was no elevatorThe rooms were located way up on the 4 th floor exactly 99 steps to get to the reception.Very difficult to climb all that way up.
Accommodation. Wi fi Breakfast Owner elsa very polite and helpful. Very stylish decor. Extremelyclean.
Unfortunately its on the top floor of 9 flights of stairs. But elsa is looking to install a lift for the future. She had applied to city for permission because of the listed status of the property.
-Within walking distance of the city center and most of the famous sites -Very friendly family managing the property -Spacious rooms with modern amenities -Yummy breakfast
-As with many properties in historic cities, no elevators and lots of steps -Could not pick up wifi in our room -Really can't think of too much I didn't like
