Excellent location neighbor to Duomo. Offers limited but good service. Mini shower room might make big size people uncomfortable.

Alessandro was an excellent host. When we were lost, we phoned him to come and find us to bring us to the hotel in order to check-in. Thanks! The location is extremely central and is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The free coffee available 24 hours a day was appreciated. The rooms were large and had high ceilings which made it feel "air-y".

Great location, and the price of this B&B is so reasonable, nice room, good servers. The check in time is no later than 1:30. Otherwise, you have to inform the owner. I miss the train, and arrived there 30min late, and wait another hour to have the door opened.

Excellent location if you are looking for a convenient base to explore Florence with a limited time on your hands. The host was very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is nice. There is one downside that, I must say, marred the experience: Noise. Lots of it. We were there on a Thursday night but the noise coming from back streets of the b&b was absurd. Drunk people talking very loud etc etc. This did not make for a good nights sleep. And if that was not enough, the next morning we were woken up by some loud american couple having breakfast in the little living room just a few meters away from our front door. At 8:00 am. With total disregard to any other possible guest staying at the b&b, the girl, in typical style, was ranting on and on in a high pitched voice. This did not put me in a good mood.. Luckily beautiful Florence made me forget that soon enough.

Very nice and comfortable place, best part is the location, right in the center and close to the train station. 1) The maters was not so comfortable. 2) The TV might need to be made bigger, I have seen computer screens that were bigger than the TV in the room :) .

The tretament received by the staff is excellent. Location is even better. There is a small dining room at the disposal of coustumers with kitchen included and for free, where you can have a coffee, a tea or esspresso any time in the day. For sure, the views of the rooms facing Via Roma are much more attractive than the rooms facing the backyard patio. In general terms is quite all right. Two minor things which I would suggest to improve, always from a constructive critizism: the isolation between rooms is poor and the windows miss double glazing. It must be improved. And although chair and tables are available in the dining room, I also missed a couple of sofas or a kind of small "longe" in case you have to wait for a few minutes.

Nice large room with contemporary private bathroom. Breakfast was very nice with a variety of options and the manager even made us cappuccino. Location was great, too - just steps from the Duomo. It was a great start to our vacation. Our stay there was too short. Wish I had booked it for the second week we were in Florence, as well.

The location was one of the most importante things, like the value, that compared to the hotel where we stayed in Rome (locatated in Piazza Navona) also a b&b, was half the price. Therefore these two points were decisive in deciding to stay. Second, it is important to mention the following, b & b (Bed & Breakfast) is not exactly a hotel, do not expect a 24hs reception, and all treatment typically given to guests. However, it is worth reiterating that the person who takes care of the b & b, Alessandro, is extremely organized, helpful, polite and runs every thing in a perfect way. When we arrived for the first tome in front of the maindoor at night, the reception was closed however, Alessandro sent us in advance, an email with all necessary instructions to enter, found our room take the keys and the other things. Throughout our stay, I can say that everything was very convenient. Alessandro helped us with the tour reservation, taxi booking, etc. Despite not having a good window view, the rooms, as well as the structure of the b & b are very comfortable and cozy. There is one area where you can prepare coffee, tea, eat some snacks, or simply sit and relax. The wi-fi internet also worked very well. Breakfast: It works like this, daily you receive vouchers to take coffee in two places of your choice located very close the b&B. Important, do not expect a much about the breakfast, we took a daily 1 cappuccino, 1 juice and 1 croissant. But's Ok. In short, it's worth. Again, thank you Alessandro

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the location was excellent and the amenities and breakfast were good. All in all a pleasant experience. We had to call the hotel because our train was late and they were very friendly and accommodating. Also liked that we had keys to enter the building and didn't have to buzz up, it made staying out late easier. The room could have been cleaner... There were some stains on the head of the bed. It was however covered with a clean cover. The shower head was broken, made showering difficult. The fridge was also not cold... Not a huge deal but we would have liked to use it. We never inquired about it though because we only stayed one night.

A little gem in the middle of Florence! Location was fantastic - right next to Duomo with an alarm call at 8am when the bells ring out. Located on the first floor of a beautiful 19th century building. Alessandro, the owner, could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was typical continental but plenty of it. Room was huge and bathroom well equipped and spotlessly clean. All attractions were in easy walking distance of Il Salotto and we took the opportunity of taking the train into Pisa for the day which we highly recommend. Again Alessandro could not have been more helpful in helping us plan this trip with printing off train times and information about Pisa itself. I cannot recommend this b&b highly enough and would definitely rebook if I visit Florence again. The only downside to the whole visit is the cost of everything in Florence itself but this is to be expected on an European city break! However, entrance fees into the main attractions and public transport fares are all very reasonably priced. Walking 400+ steps to the top of the Duomo is a must as is a visit to both the Bobili Gardens and the Rose Gardens.

This hotel has one of the best locations ever, so close to the Duomo and just in the center surrounded by designers stores, for some expensive and brand shopping, as well as very close to the market, for an affordable and enjoyable shopping. You can easily tour Florence from there. The train station is around 5 minutes walk away which is perfect. The room is very clean and spacious as oppose to other hotels around Italy. We enjoyed our breakfast a lot, as the kitchen is so nice and you can easily mingle and get to know other travelers and share with them some tips about what to see around. As for the staff, well Alessandro and his friend are so welcoming, very friendly and helpful which made our visit to Florence a visit to remember.

Location and personel - theese are the main 2 assets of the b&b, and just after the two is comfort and cleanliness. The Doumo/Baptistery Square is 20 m from the gate :) ! b&b is on the 1st floor, and we took the room with balcony what was a great option because in the evening we could sit on it with the bottle of wine staring on people strolling under us. Allesandro from the staff was alway very helpfull and gave great advices on restaurants and places of interest. Complimentary WiFi in room which worked great. We travelled by car, and it was great that we coudl drive exactly to the gate of the b&b and the garage staff took the car and brought it bac when we were leaving. Hmmm ... rather nothing.
