Lake of Paola - Visit the most southern and famous of the coastal lakes of the Pontine plain area. This is a saltwater lake lying parallel to the sea, and has an irregular form with many inlets stretching towards the inhabited areas and the promontory of Circeo. Today, it is also known as Lake of Sabaudia as witness to the city’s foundation in 1935.

The coastal sand dunes – The dunes extend along the coast for about 25 km from the slopes of the promontory to Capo Portiere. They are rich in exuberant flora and act as a home to herons and several species of migratory birds.

By car:

From Rome:
- Take the Pontina S.S. 148, and exit at Borgo Bainsizza or Borgo Podgora.
- Continue in the direction of Sabaudia.
- Go through Latina and exit at Sabaudia.

From Naples:
- Take the A1 Motorway in the direction of Rome and exit at Frosinone.
- Join the S.S. 156 in the direction of Priverno. Go through Fossanova Abbey and proceed towards Sabaudia.
