We did not like the fact we only had 6 days at Il Serraglio. We could have used more time.
The location is ideal for exploring the hilltowns of Tuscany and jumping into Umbria. Roberto helped us to plan our daily sightseeing and pointed us to some locations not frequented by tourists (at least not many). While we had an idea of where we wanted to go and see, he helped fill in the gaps between destinations. Alex, Roberto's son, was pleasant and very friendly with insight of the younger generation. His view of Tuscany complemented his father's. A very enjoyable family business which Roberto was more than happy to share; wine, olive oil, truffles and puppies. A true taste of the countryside which is Italia.
The quaint accomodations were complemented by the cute kitchen accomodation and supplemented by dining al fresco on the patio. Grazie mille Il Serraglio.
