Location was good for Juliets balcony and the chance to view it after the gates closed to the general public was great. Breakfast in the room was a lovely touch luxurious fixtures and fittings in the room
Hotel had no facilities outside of the room , which gave it the feel of serviced apartments rather than a boutique style hotel Slightly disappointing to have a view of shops etc when the courtyard was so close , but appreciate thats what you pay the really big bucks for. Overall having now stayed I wouldnt personally consider the additional cost paid was warranted , having stayed at another accommodation in Verona for our 2nd night at considerably less than half price , where the service was more personal , albeit the accommodation probably wasnt to quite the same standard I think its a personal choice as to whether to consider this accomm a unique opportunity that isnt available elsewhere and therefore worth the extra cost or whether you consider it as cashing in on a very popular tourist attraction..
Fantastic location, very helpful staff, beautiful room....every other tourist in Verrona will be envious when you are allowed after 7pm into the gated courtyard of Juliet's balcony.
Location is fantastic. Staff were very helpful pre-warning and directing us by car to the hotel - it is in the restricted centre and fines are high if you go the wrong way.
Air-conditioning in our room (Mondo) is mounted badly and doesn't work (too low and behind curtains). Free Wifi was very unreliable. Parking charges high.
Excellent location, amazing recomendations from the hotel staff for dinning. A really magical place.
The only thing I was negatively surprised was that the hotel did not have a public restroom. There were only in the rooms which made it impossible to reach after check-out while recovering luggage.
The rooms. Central location
Nothing to dislike
don't read all the comments..just try it.
Very noisy from the outside
Staff excellent, rooms large, comfortable and quiet. Old world charm, with private access to Juliet's balcony till the crowds were allowed in @ 8:30. Close (short walk) to all maner of good resturants and historical spots.
Tourist crowds pack in to see the balcony overflowing into the "street"
Large, clean and quiet room. Nicely decorated and air conditioned. Staff very friendly and helpful and even though there is no onsite parking, staff will greet you and securely park car for you (at small cost). Great location to see everything.
nothing to dislike
Location, nice 'apartment' concept. Breakfast in the room (for lack of a restaurant)
All the tourists coming to see Juliettes balcony and looking at and into mine. No privacy as soon as the place opens unless you keep the window and shutters closed. Comparing it to other hotels we have stayed at in the same price range, it was lacking in several ways. It's not worth the price you pay. The entertainment system is hopeless. You cannot zap between channels unless you go back to the system menu. New internet connection was non existent, logged into the old one and it was fine.
The location is perfect and the staff is very helpful. It’s a very romantic place. The breakfast is excellent and served in the room. After 8 PM the gates are closed and only the guests can stay in the courtyard, I reserved a table and proposed to my girlfriend, she love it!
Nothing! All perfect.
The room. The location.
Extremely noisy in the morning, due to works on the next house (even on Saturdays). Just average service.
It was exactly as advertised.
1.The lack of a lobby area. 2.Accessing the hotel by auto is difficult due to pedestrian only streets (except for hotel guests???). A little more information in that regard on the website would be helpful.
Very Quiet, Wonderful location, Staff was vey Helpful
Location is just amazing, its like you are living in a tourist attraction itself. Felt like a VIP.
I loved everything about this hotel. Its a best place to stay
The best hotel to stay in Verona. For ladies the balcony of Juliet it is the most romantic spot in the world. They close the gates at 7.30 pm. After this only the hotel guests can enter to the juliets balcony.Nice place to purpose to your future wife.Do not miss this experience.
There is champagne in mini bar but there were no champagne glasses.
Very romantic boutique hotel. Beautiful rooms. Excellent and very helpful staff. Perfect location - 50 m from beautiful Piazza del Erbe. Excellent breakfast served in room. Perfect for any kind of vacation in beautiful Verona.
Perfectly placed to enjoy the historic locations and shopping of Verona. The hotel entrance shares the courtyard of Juliet's balcony but be aware that very few rooms look into this courtyard and most overlook the street. We had the cheapest of the rooms available and were on the fourth floor. Our room was huge and was furnished very beatifully with painted headboard and wardrobe. It had everything that we needed. The bathroom was very modern and had a rainwater shower and jacuzzi. Breakfast was served in the room; it was plentiful, a choice of coffes, teas and hot chocolate, fruit juice , bread roll and jams, ham, cheese, yoghurt and brioches. To this you could add extras such as eggs, freshly squeezed juices etc at 3/4 euros. The breakfast always arrived promptly and the service was very charming. Contrary to a very negative review earlier we had no quandries re security, the room key has to be handed in but the office does overlook the entrance and somebody arrived within seconds to collect or give back the key. A word of warning however, the room safe is very small and I couldn't fit my ipad in.
Nothing really to complain about, it was quite warm when we arrived and I would have liked to have been able to use the airconditioning . Keeping the windows open meant that we were disturbed by the early morning streetcleaning but we also mananged to sleep through it on a couple of occasions.
Absolutely the most romantic hotel we've stayed in! The rooms are so decadent! Service is impeccable! Breakfast in bed is such a nice touch! Juliets courtyard is closed to the public at 7.30pm and our hotel had exclusive use! It's extra special because my fiancé just proposed to me there!! :)
Fantastic location Helpful staff Evening viewing of Juliet's Balcony Breakfast in the room
This is a very expensive hotel which has only the facilities of a seaside b&B. There is no proper reception, no breakfast room, no lounge or bar. The brochure claims that each room is sumptuously furnished with "pieces of great worth and adorned with antique carpets, splendid curtains and works of art". This is rubbish. Our room had a single circular table about 3 feet across, two chairs upholstered in a plastic material, a cupboard containing a mini-bar, two small bedside tables with three tiny drawers in each and a small wardrobe which was largely filled with spare bedding. At the bottom of this was a safe, to use which you had to lie on the floor. The bathroom had nowhere adequate for personal toiletries and a loose tap. Service was sporadic: some days our beds were turned down and the shutters closed, but this didn't happen every day so we had to risk leaning out from a third storey window over the street to close them since the thin unlined curtains didn't keep out the light. It was necessary to fill in a form to order your breakfast for the following day which was served in the room on the only table. Computers, toiletries etc then had to be piled on the bed since there was nowhere else to put them. Room keys with heavy brass fobs were kept in an unlocked drawer in a small unstaffed table in the entrance area, whose door was open onto "Juliet's Courtyard" which was thronged with hundreds of people throughout the day. The office, from where you summoned staff with a bell, did not look directly onto this area. There was no security I consider that this hotel is a complete rip-off and recommend avoiding it.
