Hotel Il Castelletto

Het personeel is erg vriendelijk. We werden goed geholpen (kaart van de stad, informatie over openbaar vervoer).

De bereikbaarheid: informatie op de website laat te wensen over. (zie boven)

Het hotel geeft van buitenuit een gezellige indruk,binnen is er echter geen sfeer,zeer stroeve tegen verveling vechtende receptie.Ontbijt is zeer miniem,koffie moet men uit automaat nemen,tafels dient men zelf af te ruimen .Kamers zijn zeer klein ,ouderwets en niet confortabel,heeftzijn beste tijd gehad.Door de gyprocplaten is elk gesprek in de andere kamers te volgen.Parkingmogelijkheden zeer beperkt en op eigen risico.Wel positief is de verbinding met bus 98 naar Vaticaanstad en centrum Rome.Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

De kamer was erg klein en het had ook nog eens een schuin dak waardoor ik vaak mijn hoofd stootte. Ook zijn de wanden tussen de kamers zodanig dun, dat ik alles kan horen wat de mensen naast mijn kamer doen. Ik kon zelfs meeluisteren met de tv. Dit vond ik toch wel een groote stoorzenden.

The Hotel was nice, small and in a quiet zone. Just perfect to relax over the weekend. Comfortable beds and friendly personal made me enjoy the stay and I will consider this hotel as a future choice for my trips.

Convenient to highway to get to airport.

Surly staff. Room and bathroom's ceiling was about 4 feet high in most of the room. Parking was impossible - had to pay the manager 10 euro to park inside the gate (which he insisted having in cash and would not provide receipt).

The staff spoke English, the neighborhood was quiet, the breakfast was satisfying, there was a TV in my room.

The 'room' was awful, not exactly 'a charming, bright and comfortable room' as described on my reservation. I realise that remodeling an ordinary house into a hotel is a challenge, but perhaps it was slightly overdone by trying to squeeze out the maximum amount of rooms. My room was in the attic, with a slant ceiling, so I could not stand straight in about three quarters of my room, with the far end being no more than 70cm high. And naturally, I hit my head a few times. The same with the top bathroom, one must brush one's teeth bending down (or kneeling). My bed linen had holes, the batteries in the remote for the air conditioner were dead, the light was hardly enough to light up the room. Definitely the worst place I have ever stayed in.

the hotel was very nice, helpful staff and not a bad brekfast (coffee, some pastries, nothing special but good enough) The room (single room) although small did the job the bathroom was a little broken (couldnt close the shower doors and you had to hold the shower head, i guess you get what you paid for.

the hotel is a fari way out depending on which bus you get the H bus from termini takes 45 mins approx and the 98 from the vatican takes 25mins, but it only costs a euro each way, so if you are using this hotel just for a bed it is very good.

The staff was very helpful in finding buses to the ciry center. The breakfast was nice, and the room was more than enough for my needs. The wifi was very good as well

The shower door was difficult to operate, and the water temperature was not constant

It is such a sweet building. Very Romantic looking. Service was good. Rooms cleaned, breakfast, information etc. The owner is a gem, whose english is very good, and he is very helpful. Parking at this hotel is available at a cost, but you can also find street parking that is free and safe.

It is a little outside Rome, so its necessary to catch a bus. Its not a huge problem, but makes going home in the middle off the day a little difficult. Not all the staff are that good in English, but they try and its manageable.

Signore of the reception is very very kind and helpful; and it s 5 mins to the bus stop H (6h - 23h, it goes to train station Termini , plz Venizia, Colossom....), 89 (to Vatican). My room was small but bien équipée: air-conditioning, big single bed, clean tiny bathroom,téléphone, armoire, and TV. just for the budget! Wi fi in the area of the breakfast.

though it's easy to get to the city center, costs lot of time waiting the bus H; Didn't find resto or supermarket around the hotel.

It’s a good hotel. Small garden is very nice and relaxing. Connection with city center is rather fast. Good breakfast. The only one trouble was the automatic switching off the light in the corridor. It’s too fast.

Nothing. They lied about how close they are to the Vatican and the city. It is a 35 min bus ride to city sights

The location was good. There are some great resturants, geletaria, bar, fruit stand, grocery store, and bancomats near by along with easy access to the bus system to get around rome. You are looking at about 30 minutes to get to downtown Rome. The receptionist was helpful giving us directions looking up train times for our trip to Naples. We got a free upgrade into a larger room with a bathroom (we booked the attic). There was an outdoor, permanent carnival park nearby for kids that was great as well.

Hotel was old and moldy. It is need of repair. Cheap cost was good, but not worth the cleanliness issue. Breakfast was not very good.
