Decor Convenience to main street and metro Staff helpful Breakfast good continental
Nothing all was good
The staff were great. The breakfast was very good lots of choice. The wifi was good it didn't work right away (they are working on improving wifi) but once we were on it was great! We liked the location really great little busy area close to metro line and away from seedy main train station! Could be noisy at night but the scooters all stopped early enough and a/c remote was offered if you didn't want to open the window
Nothing, we would stay again thanks!
Friendly staff and good location.
Very clean and neat and quaint cosy decor especially with the Christmas decorations. Good breakfast selection and especially warm friendly and helpful staff. Always felt safe and looked after in the hotel.
The family room air circulation was a little weak on the upper deck. The room can be noisy if we open the windows.
Nice room with terrace In-room breakfast (at no extra fee)
I couldn't change the booking length (although it was a no cancellation offer, hotel still could show some flexibility)
everything, specially the friendly staff.
nothing to dislike
The old world charm, the friendly and helpful staff, the very good breakfast each day, the charming balcony to view the busy street action, the location in the still authentic Italian area of Naples- not touristy at all but watch out for those speeding motor bikes!
Bed was really two twins pushed together so one of us was always rolling into the split - better to have one full mattress but this type of arrangement seems endemic to Italian hotels with double rooms. Also the bed was a bit hard for our tastes. A small problem that did not impact that drastically on our experience overall which was very good!
Location, staff excellent good English ,decor of Hotel ,breakfast
Bed a bit hard for me Crazy scooter riders
Decor, spacious room, be part of the vibe of the colorful neighborhood. Being close to the Metro was a big plus.
location staff cakes
Lovely location close to the shops and old area of the town. Staff are lovely and speak excellent English.
The bells are loud though they do provide earplugs in the room :)
The service was friendly and efficient, there were no problems with organising a taxi for us on departure, on printing off our airport boarding passes. The hotel had charm, from the reception area, to our room, and the private outdoor area with table and chairs on the top floor. The locality gave us an opportunity to ramble through narrow cobbled streets, appreciating the interaction between pedestrians and scooters, to choose a restaurant.
The internet was slow, the only drawback - and one which didn't fuss us too much - on an otherwise exceptional hotel experience.
Kind staff and always ready to help and make our stay more comfortable.
Large room Garden terrace Variety at breakfast, good service Close to Via Toledo and Royal Palace Tea making facilities
Location, staff, charm
Bed, pillows too hard
Great staff and location and character.
Single beds a bit small?
Staff Cleanliness Location Roof terrace Room
We had to quickly find a hotel due to our flight being cancelled and chose Il Convento because we had stayed the previous week. A warm welcome and upgraded to a stay in the same Suite as before.
Lovely rooftop terrace off our room where we could sit in peace. We could have had breakfast out here but preferred to select from the buffet. Very friendly, helpful staff.
The noisy church bells! Out of the control of the hotel!!!
Bathroom and shower had black mildew mould around rim of washbowl and in shower area.
We Stayed in the junior suite, which has it's own terrace, for an affordable "luxury" splurge. They have an elevator, which is a find in Italy. Breakfast was great. The bed was very comfortable, AC worked. The bathroom was clean and also had a tub, another rare find in the country. The three reception clerks we spoke with were very friendly. The neighborhood is fun, lots of food and shops. Once we arrived from the train station, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely be coming back!
The hotel was great. It had a cottage feel. It used to be a convent which is definitely showcased in the architecture. You can definitely see a nun staying in the room previously. Breakfast was plentiful with a lot of selections. Two blocks away from Via Toldeo, a street full of shops and life.
The area was a little scary at first but the people are lovely. Be careful of scooters and cars flying by. The street is very narrow but it doesn't stop them from going fast and carefully! The shower in the room was very small and we had to get very creative when it came to bathing. There's a church bell that sounds at 7 a.m. So be aware.
Helpful staff. Convenient location.
Poor breakfast by today's standards. Convent bells in the morning plus street noise.
The people, staff were friendly and eager to assist. The location puts you within walking distance of much of the older city and numerous places for great local food.
Being in the old city with it's very narrow streets, made before cars, it can be a bit noisy at times, all that said had good sleep and very much enjoyed our stay, in fact re-booked 3 more days on our return leg to Naples
