Difficult to find
Very pleasant staff in reception and dining room.room comfortable
Problem finding the hotel until sat nav started working. Breakfast rather uninspiring
Staff Cleanliness Good, buffer breakfast Free bus to and from town centre
Once we finally arrived we were very pleasantly impressed with the comfort of the hotel. Breakfast was very good. We didn't sample dinner in the restaurant as we preferred to walk into lovely Perugia The courtesy bus was very useful in the morning. Very good value overall.
The directions we had printed off were inadequate. We kept going round in circles until we found a very helpful local who got into his car and led us around the streets until he had set us on onto the right road.
The hotel is very comfortable and the staff is very good. The room for three persons is very good. The room is cleaning everyday. You can go to the historic center by foot, but it is 20 minutes walking and there is a lot of slopes and stairs. If you go by car you can leave the car in a Parking B and go to the top by elevator.
We liked the convenient location of the Ilgo Hotel even though it was a 15 minute walk into the centre of Perugia (reduced to 5 minutes if you take the free hotel shuttle bus). It is a simple hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The walls are thin so noise from adjoining rooms and the corridor is easily heard.
The location and breakfast is Good
Wifi was a disaster.and some personel was dour
The room was big and comfortable, staff excellent. Parking just in front of the hotel. Location of the hotel was not a problem for me, I enjoyed long walks to the centre, which is very beautiful - I simply had to go there every day...
I experienced some problems with receiving the bill for my stay (I needed it for my company), but no big deal. The restaurant was a bit expensive.
room, view, parking
too far from centre
We had a marvelous vista of the Umbria countryside from our room. The staff were most friendly and helpful in all instances with good suggestions and top noch service. The facilities are modern and clean and it is a delight to stay there. They have a shuttle that connects you with the city and we found their cuisine the best we had in our two weeks in Italy.
The staff was very helpful. In particular, the front desk staff, the women hosting the continental breakfast and the shuttle driver were very attentive to my wife and I, and my parents, who are in their 80's. When not using the shuttle, we would walk from the peace and quiet of the hillside that Ilgo Hotel sits in to the historic center of Perugia (going slowly and taking it all in) which all of us enjoyed very much. It is one of the most lovely walks anywhere!
Dinner at the hotel was not great -- it is hotel food. Better to venture into Perugia proper. We liked La Lumera, recommended by the hotel; the young chef there takes Italian "slow" cuisine very seriously.
Everything was good, the staff was very, very helpful
Staff polite and friendly.Internet excellent.
The breakfast wasnt worth the €6 being charged.
Big hill to climb to get to city Centre
Do not let the location deter you. The hotel is located an easy walk to town ( after the initial stairs to the upper road). It is a great opportunity to view the local area, the little lane ways , cafes and generally observe how the people of Perugia live. I am a 58 year old, single woman and I had no problems taking this walk several times a day. Staff went out if their way to be helpful. An all round good experience.
Nothing to complain about!
friendly staff and comfortable room
Lack of English speaking staff
Very comfortable, good signage on roads to find Hotel, pleasant woodland setting, so close to the Ancient Perugia City. Plenty of Car Parking. Convenient Hotel Restaurant meal was very good. Only about 5minutes quite easy walk to Porta Pesa closest Ancient City wall gate, total 20minutes to walk to main Piazza IV Novembre, even though this part is uphill.
Good Map Directions from AutoStrada would be helpful, as Perugia is a large steep hilly city with very winding streets. The ring road is fast, but knowing closest correct exit name to get to the Hotel would save a major headache.
Nice location in a forest, but still in the city Good breakfast (good espresso and cappuccino)
Kind of "tired" facilities, but still in good condition.
It was fine and good value for money. We turned up quite late, missing the last mini-bus up to the town centre. But the front desk gentleman offered to take us up to the town. He was very helpful and polite.
Steep walk up many steps to reach Perugia town centre. Fine for us but may not suit other people.
People in charge of the reception were very kind and caring. Room is spacious, with a frigobar. Very good breakfast.
Far from the historic center, although the hotel offers a shuttle service to the center 3 times a day.
we were impressed with the comfort of the room. The breakfast was excellent.the cleanliness was excellent and overall service of the staff was very good. We would choose this hotel and recommend it to our friends
we thought the location was a bit uncomfortable for us although the shuttle service made it somewhat bearable
good location, shuttle near the center of the town
