Very friendly staff, attractive and original decor, pleasant atmosphere and excellent location.

Breakfast basically good - but plain croissants would have been nice, and more fresh fruit.

The location of the hotel is excellent being so near to the Central Railway Station making it easy to travel to other cities of the region of Emilia Romagna and not far from Via Dell'Independenza easily reached on foot even by an elderly couple. We did it more than ten times during our stay! Besides, the reception staff were so courteous, friendly and always ready to answer our questions. They even provided scales to check weight of our luggage before leaving. Breakfast was also very good, especially the sweets. We were also surprised to find tea/coffee making facilities in our room. Very good value for money. Highly recommended.

Nothing really. Perhaps some more lighting in the part of the room where the wardrobe is located is desirable. Otherwise no adverse complaints whatsoever.

Breakfast was good by Italian standards (a lot of sweets, but they blended it with some other more typical breakfast foods. walking distance to the Piaza Maggiorre!

we chose the hotel because it has a sauna, whirlpool, etc and when we arrived we found it that it cost 15 euro per person and hour!!!! VERY disappointed!!! our bathroom had nowhere to hang any towels and we were 3 people (6 towels)!! Not nice. the room was very run down - especially the bathroom. the television was smaller than my PC screen! :( the personell did not go out of their way to help us. There is a very highly recommended Trattoria right next door - but the hotel staff weren't the ones who told us about it. Too bad!

Room was slightly dingy with very little light available. For a tourist destination the TV selection was useless.

I loved the open-buffet breakfast. There was a variety of tasty offers. I also liked the decoration of the breakfast hall. The reception personnel were speaking good English, they were very helpful in giving directions and suggestions. The free wi-fi worked well.

There were no closets for clothes in the room except for a hanger. It could be a problem if I stayed longer.

We stayed at this hotel for a total of 4 nights. We appreciate how the hotel front desk is very helpful. The hotel is located in a strategic area, it's nrear the train station and the bus station and it's not too far from the city center. They also have a spa so after a long day walk it's good to come back to your hotel and enjoy some relaxing moment just being pampered by their jacuzzi. It offers a good value for your money compared to other hotels in the area. We love their breakfast buffet.

The first night, we were assigned to a room on the second floor. The first thing we noticed when we opened the door was this 'sewer' smell. We did not bother changing rooms because we are just staying one night. We just opened our window and that helped dissipate the smell. The toilet is small especially the shower area, it's hard to move around.

The shower spray fixed on the wall only had very little water stream. the one you can hold only worked for 2 secs, then it completely out of order.

The staff was excellent, there is a free Internet connection and a really nice selection at breakfast. I appreciated having the coffee/tea maker in the room.

The room I stayed in was on the small side, dark and dusty. The heating can be done only through the air conditioning.

As a frequent and solo traveler I was pleasantly surprised how easy this hotel was to find from the bus/train station. Don't stay at the airport if you are making a connection but take the 6 euro bus direct from the airport to the stazione centrale then walk to this hotel. The city center is an easy walk or take the city bus which is nearby. Hotel Guercino is cheaper than staying at the airport and well worth it. Bologna is great! Hotel welcomes you and allows you to put your luggage in a secure area until check-in or if you are departing after check-out. I took the 20 minute back to the airport and was able to stay in Bologna for one day. The room was clean (I don't care for purple but oh well) but the bathroom was renovated. Quiet room with comfortable bed. Tea is provided. Breakfast was sufficient and Internet worked all night. No car but I thought 16 euros was expensive for this. I would recommend this hotel. Best value for the money in the area that I could find.

Family, quiet hotel, clean bathroom, good breakfast. As a minor negative thing - the furniture was old and ascetic.

I thought the hotel was very nice for the price and a great location near the train station. The breakfast was an excellent value for only 7 Euros per person and was of high quality.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and colourful and everything was in good working hour. Our room had a terrace which was beautiful. The hotel is also well located as it's a quiet area just five minutes from the train station and a short walk into town.

The breakfast was not particularly nice. Hot food was cheap - the bacon was literalky rinds of fat- and over cooked and nothing particularly fresh. As a result we only ate breakfast at the hotel once and then ate elsewhere other days.

Excellent, friendly helpful staff, rooms comfortable and so clean!! Good location about 10 mins walk to the old town. We would stay there again.

Easy walk from the train station. Pleasant walk to the city center. A beautiful hotel with very helpful staff. The desk clerk provided a tourist map that listed places to visit and he helped me know which ones were most important to visit. I am looking for an excuse to visit this hotel again.
