Hotel Ilma  

Hotel Ilma is an excellent hotel for a holiday in limone which is a great little spot on Lake Garda. Intimate, atmospheric and not too crowded. Good size rooms. Great pool terrace. Ample parking. Good breakfast. Good staff. Quiet up top. The rooms down the hill were a bit close to the traffic noise of the road so we asked to be moved up the hill. The lake view rooms are worth the extra money.

We had a superior room with lake view. Room was very big and a view was very nice.

This is 4 stars hotel however it is poor 3 in my opinion. Very bad food and even worse coffe. Breakfest quality is on the level of the youth hotel. We learned that for better coffe we have to pay extra. There is indoor pool but the facility smelt so much chlorin that my eyes started tearing within 10 minutes. Very cold water in the outside pool makes it impossible to bath with children. Air conditioning is available only from the middle of June. We travelled with small children in May and it was very hot in our room. When we complained we got advice to open a window: it was as hot inside as outside that lady in the reception did take into cosideration. There is a small playground but next to the swiming pool so you always have to watch. Also, it is about 10 - 15 minutes to the city (not 5min) and the hotel is on the hill. It was not fun to push the stroller all the way. Restaurant staff always run and lookes like: please do not ask me anything I am here only to clean. Reception staff hardly spoke any English and gave us misleading information. We learned quickly that majority of the guests were German pensioners and therefore hotel staff spoke German and not English. Hotel tries to save every penny on everything that brings the quality down.

Very good location and perfectly adequate for our requirements.

A beautiful location served by attentive, helpful staff. Good food and great bar service, a lovely swimming pool. The balcony rooms and facilities were excellent with stunning views of the lake. The hotel is a short walk to the charming village centre.

Car parking is a problem, the area adjacent to the hotel is very restrictive and the garage area is someway from the hotel. However in the rugged location this is to some degree understandable but some guest can be very inconsiderate when parking thier cars.

We stayed in a superior double room. The room was a good size and was clean. The maid service was daily. It's a close enough walk to the town centre, about 5 mins. The outdoor pool area was nice and there is also an indoor pool area.

Beware, all the other guests at the hotel were German. We were fine with this but might not be for everyone if they don't speak the language. At breakfast the bread didn't seem fresh and coffee was from a vending machine. No coffee making facilities in the room. The room decor felt dated as did the bathroom fittings. The maids kept leaving the patio door open allowing all the biting bugs in!

They had awesome terrace but for some reason eating out there was prohibited. Staff was very unfriendly when forcing us to eat inside.

Breakfast is dull. Coffee is the worst i've ever drunk. No entertaiment. This hotel is only for German pensioners! Hotel stuff is trained to serve only German guests. Limone Sul Garda is a place for dying in peace :)

Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis und immer sehr nettes Personal. Schönes, grosses Zimmer mit Terrasse. Super auch für Kinder geeignet.
