Staff were impolite and unfriendly to the point of being rude.

Cleanliness. Central location, efficient staff.

No specific dislikes. Unfortunately, we were there only overnight.

The reception staff were friendly,helpful and efficient. Rooms were very comfortable. Turkish bath was an added bonus.

Excellent breakfast. Air con controlled at the room, not centrally. Juliet balcony was nice overlooking roofs of nearby buildings. Quiet.

Excellent hotel that is very centrally located. The staff at the reception was extremely welcoming. Internet was included. They pointed us to an excellent restaurant for dinner.

Very difficult to reach by car. (There are unusually many signs towards the hotel - but traffic can be very very heavy). There is no parking - they do have a few parking spots on the street right in front of the hotel, which they use for parking if you reserve it in advance (and pay for it). The breakfast was rather limited. Lots of noise outside on Saturday evening (due to the central location).

View from rooms was limited. Wifi access was very limiting. Had to be close to the doors to access WiFi (could not access in the bedroom)

I booked with them and was ill and notified booking.com. They were unwilling to work with me despite the illness. Beware!

The location if the hotel is perfect. The rooms are sweet as a family of four can fit perfectly as the rooms come with an 'atic' which accommodate 2 other people. So 2 downstairs and two upstairs. The rooms also come with free wifi which is great. To sum it all up the hotel is just great, with super friendly staff and I can't think of one negative thing about the hotel. Highly recommende hotel

Central, clean, comfortable

The hotel may be a trifle difficult to find at first, but it really is very conveniently located right in the middle of the old town. It is possible to walk from/to the train/bus terminal, which I did but you may be better off with a taxi. The facilities provided were more than adequate and the staff very friendly. Despite frequent adverse comments about Catania I found it a very nice place. Had my best 2 meals there during my one week stay in various places of Sicily and at a very reasonable price what's more.

No restaurant, Breakfast - substantial but cold

Very friendly staff, we got a map of the city and an elaborate explenation of all the things that could be visited in Catania.

Clean & tidy hotel, nothing out of the ordinary though.

No bar, no evening restaurant (although that seems standard as there are restaurants around. Strange "back street" location can be offputting on arrival, but reasonable onve you get your bearings.

Perfect location, wonderful rooms, great choices at breakfast, and very helpful staff.

Great location close to the centre of Catania, restaurants and shops close by. High standard of furnishings in rooms. Excellent bufet breakfast.

Hotel has recently been refurbished and there are some problems with bathrooms as sink plugs don't work and showere partition over bath lets water escape onto floor.

Great location close to central square- sights, shops and restaurants. Staff were very helpful. They booked a tour to Syracuse for us and we were extremely pleased with it. The rooms were very nicely appointed and quite spaceous.

We were in the newer section, accessed by a passage way under the street. Our room was right over an outdoor restaurant that set up each night. The noise was very loud and went on after midnight- we needed ear plugs to sleep. Also there was no wifi reception there. I would therefore recommend you ask for a quiet room in the main part of the hotel with internet access ( if you need it). We had to sit in the hotel foyer to access wifi.

II Principe Hotel Catania was excellent, only 20mins from Catania Airport and in a great position. We were near the shopping area and also near some great restaurants. The first night we stayed ina very good room. Our second stay the roomer was a little smaller but both very clean and well cared for. The overnight rate was fantastic and we would certainly stay there again if we were in Catania

Great hotel and staff were very well versed in English. Location is great for the local open markets and other sites. Will go back when we get back to Sicily.

Construction going on in front of hotel but will be nice once done.
