The location is almost by the lake and is a great base for lakeside trips. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant at night is cheap and cheerful with great food. Directions from San Giovanni Train Station are available from the hotels website (15 Minute walk) while the metro and bus station are across the road. We arrived 2pm (siesta time) on a Sunday. Anyone that didn't have paperwork printed from booking.com had some problems with the type of rooms they had booked. I would suggest you print off confirmation from this hotel as it is then easily sorted out!

Location, spacious room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers, although only one bathroom without separate toilet. Good parking facility. Too many rules. No breakfast offered as the dining room was being rented out to the restaurant next door until summer started!

It is close to train station, center of town, harbour for boat tours everything was within walking distance and no big hills to climb. Efficient enough for the money. Even though the bathroom were shared it was no issue as it is small enough. Not bad at all for the price.

Great location, friendly and helpful front desk, security was good, bathroom was very clean, beds were comfortable, good value. My only complaint was the noise from the street below. This is a bar that is open until 3am. Hard to sleep sometimes with the noise.

Very close to town centre. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were made to feel most welcome. Rooms were a good size and free wifi internet a bonus. The chairs in the lounge really need to be updated. This did not stop us having a good stay in Como.

Its price, the fact that we had a parking place nearby. Too plain a room, not too near the centre, though right in front of the coach station, so if you arrive by coach its location would be perfect.

Great little hotel in the middle of como next to the lake. If you want authentic italian feeling stay there. It is very small, rooms too but all together it was worth it. Clean and quiet, staff speak english and friendly. It is not too easy to find and parking is difficult however they provide space nearby street for 8€ per day I think.

The room is clean, bathroom is very clean and spacious. The bed is comfort. The location just 50meter from the lake. Also there is a good restaurant next to the hotel which is very good and good price.

The location was great in the town of Como and the rooms were adequate. It was very difficult to find this hotel--our gps did not locate it. Also it is difficult to find parking even to drop off luggage.

I had to book my stay at short notice due to limited hotel space in Milan and I came up trumps with this hotel. A really good quiet position, even though it is just meters away from the Como-Milan Cadorna station and the bus station, with large clean room and owners who seem intent on keeping them that way. The hotel has a bar and a pizzeria linked to it for those who don't want to travel too far away to find somewhere to eat or drink. All in all excellent value for money. I'll be back to get away from the summer heat of Milan.

Very convenient location and excellent security. Appreciated being able to park our car securely. Helpful staff and very clean and modern room. Many good restaurants and facilities close by. Near the lake and handy for walking about.

Price not too bad for a twin room (though it was small) Location, next to bus station, bar, shop, takeaway. Direct bus to Bergamo. Near suburban rail, boat, restaurants, town centre, museums/art galleries and churches. Not far from mainline station - trains to Switzerland and other towns. Helpful bloke with much information about the area. "Shower block" and Rules and restrictions gave it a student res feel (which I didn't mind) eg only water allowed in room - no drinks eg lemonade allowed, threatening tone about charge to use kitchen and cleaning fee. No breakfast included in the price I paid. I didn't mind but could see the place not being to everyone's taste.

In Riva Al Lago was above and beyond what we expected for the reasonable price, and I would recommend it to my friends and family. The staff was friendly and helpful and the building itself was completely modern, well- appointed and impeccably clean. The accompanying restaurant was also a treat, tasty low-priced dinners in a relaxing environment, also served inexpensive drinks.

The staff were always quite helpful and very informative, and spoke good English. They even let us use the wifi for free for two days! There is no breakfast, a downside, but the price was great for the location and was less than 50 yards from the train station, Lago. A great little budget hotel if you're trying to save money and also have a comfortable place to sleep. Tiny television with not many channels, we tried to find a soccer game, but couldn't! Also, the bathroom light was automatic, so you had to keep the door shut after going out to keep the light out of the bedroom.
