The limitations were very concerning for us, we knew we would not be able to cook, but we're under the impression that we could at least make a sandwich! Also I would not call it an apartment as there were only two rooms with beds, no sitting area at all and not even a kettle to make tea in the kitchenette. Perhaps this is normal for Como, but in our other apartments, the facilities were better. If you are planning on only sleeping there, then it's really great, but for small children, not being allowed to eat ANYTHING in the apartment was extremely difficult!
We enjoyed the hospitality of the reception (excellent, helpful and friendly) and the location. It really is close to the town, funicular, and parks for the kids.
